Influence of the Geoacoustic Parameters of Seabed Appearing in the Broadband Interference Pattern by Moving Targets (이동 표적에 의한 광대역 간섭패턴의 지음향 인자 영향)

  • A range-frequency interference pattern is analyzed in the course of the propagation of ship noise in shallow water. It has been shown to exhibit striated bands of intensity maxima and minima in the spectrogram. The slope of the striations is an invariant of the modal interference and is described by a waveguide invariant parameter $\beta$. It turns out that this interference pattern is useful for identifying the physical properties of the waveguide such as seabed properties. In this article, the interference pattern is analyzed using image processing techniques to produce the distribution of the beta and the effects of sediment types and geoacoustic parameters on beta distribution are examined and characterized by moments of the distributions.

  • In this paper, it was performed the analysis on various intersection acoustic patterns for detection rate improvement of accident sound detection system : an acoustic pattern analysis on general traffic noise, an acoustic pattern analysis on engine noise, an acoustic pattern analysis on obstruct factors for accident sound detection system. There are remarkable differences between the acoustic patterns of traffic noise and accident sound, and we most consider the acoustic patterns when we compose the accident traffic detection system by acoustic because there is error range of 20[dB] according to the volume of traffic in intersection.

  • 본 논문은 3상 인버터에서 직류단 션트 저항을 이용하여 전류를 복원하는 새로운 기법에 대하여 제안한다. 직류단 션트 저항을 이용하여 전류를 측정할 경우, 전동기의 구동에 따른 지령 전압 벡터의 변화에 따라 SVPWM 헥사곤 내부에는 전류의 측정이 불가능한 영역이 존재한다. 기존의 방법들은 지령 벡터가 전류 측정이 불가능한 영역에 위치할 때, 스위칭 패턴에 변화를 주는 방법들을 이용하였다. 그러나, 이 기법들은 스위칭 패턴을 바꾸기 때문에 소음 및 전류 왜곡의 원인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 스위칭 패턴의 변화 없이 전류를 추정할 수 있는 새로운 기법을 소개한다. 제안된 알고리즘의 효율성은 실험적 결과를 통해 증명한다.

Ship Identification Using Acoustic Characteristic Extraction and Pattern Recognition (음파 특징 추출 및 패턴 인식을 통한 선박 식별)

  • Ship identification systems currently employed provide the underwater sound analysis, analyzed data saving and user interface with comparison function. But final analysis and identification depend only on experts. Therefore, the reliability of these identification systems relies on user's ability on information recognition. This paper presents the method of recognition for the purpose of providing the basic data for an automatic ship class identification. we get the underwater sounds using the PC. We use Matlab in order to reduce ambient noises, take out an acoustic characteristics using the pattern recognition, and classify the ships.

  • 건설교통부 표준발파패턴 중 암파쇄굴착공법(pattern-1)에 해당하는 구간에서 적용할 수 있는 공법중의 하나로서 새로운 물질과 반응촉발장치를 이용하는 파암공법이다. 본 공법에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해 새로운 물질의 특성시험, 파암진동과 발파진동과의 비교 고찰하고, 각종 화약류와의 폭발소음을 비교분석 하였으며, 본 공법을 파암현장에 적용함에 있어 암질에 따른 설계기법 및 시공방법 등에 대해 연구하였다.

Optimization of Intentional Mistuning for Bladed Disk : Damping and Coupling Effect (블레이드 디스크의 International Mistuning 최적화 : 감쇠와 커플링효과)

  • In turbomachinery rotor, there are small differences in the structural and/or geometrical properties of individual blades, which are referred to as blade mistuning. Mistuning effect of the forced response of bladed disks can be extremely large as often reported in many studies. In this paper, the pattern optimization of intentional mistuning for bladed disks considering with damping and coupling effect is the focus of the present investigation. More specifically, the class of intentionally mistuned disks considered here is limited, for cost reasons, to arrangements of two types of blades (A and B, say) and Genetic Algorithm and steepest descent method are used to optimize the arrangement of these blades around the disk to reduce the forced response of blade with different damping and coupling stiffness. Examples of application involving both simple bladed disk models and a 17-blade industrial rotor clearly demonstrate the significant benefits of using this class of intentionally mistuned disks.

Error Investigation in use of Near-field Acoustic Holography in the Underwater Environment of Reflected Wave (수중반사파 환경에서의 근접음장 홀로그래피 적용에 대한 오차 고찰)

  • Nowadays, it is required for naval ships to estimate 3D underwater radiated noise pattern in all direction at peak frequencies of hull vibration for the reduction of being detected and doing the effective operation. For this purpose, the numerical method has to be developed to calculate 3D underwater radiated noise pattern with experimental data. It is very difficult to obtain the experimental data for the real ship. Alternative to get the experimental results is to use NAH(near-field acoustic holography) in acoustic tank with experimental model. Application of NAH in acoustic tank for the experimental model needs some investigation of reflection wave from the wall of the acoustic tank and unmeasured zone of the experimental model due to the supporting structure for it. In this study, the effect of reflection wave in the acoustic tank and unmeasured area of the experimental model when using the NAH was investigated with experiment and numerical model. From these, it is known for the error due to reflection wave can be reduced when the distance between the measurement plane and source is being shorten. Also, unmeasured area of the experimental model gives rise to some error in the estimation of the far-field acoustic pressure.

Review of Applicability of the Standard Blasting Patterns of MLTM to Various Rock Types (국토해양부 표준발파패턴의 셰일암반 적용성에 관한 사례 연구)

  • Blasting is necessary for excavation processes since more than 70% of korean land is consist of mountains. The vibration and noise accompanied by blasting processes usually bring about public complaints. Blasting patterns are chosen by economical efficiency, stability and construction conveniency. However, there are many alternatives without control to settle the popular complaint. To prevent those alternatives, standard blasting method for design and construction were suggested by MLTM (Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs) in 2006. However, standard blasting pattern of MLTM was designed in a lump irrespective of types of rocks. Economical loss may occur by ignoring the characteristics of rocks for the applications to the rocks with low intensity, such as shale, or containing many joint. We deduced some economical progresses by performing test blasting with adjusted drilling spacing and length of burden considering the characteristics of local rock. This paper suggests the start of case studies for different applications. Economic improvement can be expected by applying those results deduced from case studies to design and construction.

Application of Lamb Waves and Probabilistic Neural Networks for Health Monitoring of Joint Steel Structures (강 구조물 접합부의 건전성 감시를 위한 램 웨이브와 확률 신경망의 적용)

  • This study presents the NDE (non-destructive evaluation) technique for detecting the loosened bolts on joint steel structures on the basis of TOF (time of flight) and amplitudes of Lamb waves. Probabilistic neural network (PNN) technique which is an effective tool for pattern classification problem was applied to the damage estimation using PZT induced Lamb waves. Two kinds of damages were introduced by dominant damages (DD) which mean loosened bolts within the Lamb waves beam width and minor damages (MD) which mean loosened bolts out of the Lamb waves beam width. They were investigated for the establishment of the optimal decision boundaries which divide each damage class's region including the intact class. In this study, the applicability of the probabilistic neural networks was identified through the test results for the damage cases within and out of wave beam path. It has been found that the present methods are very efficient and reasonable in predicting the loosened bolts on the joint steel structures probabilistically.
