진동측정 좌표축 회전을 이용한 저널베어링 상태 진단 (Diagnostics of Journal Bearing System Using Coordinate Transformed Vibration Signals)

  • Vibration signal has been widely utilized in the diagnostics of rotating mechanical system. Diagnostics systems in rotating machinery are depends on the vibration data which are acquired from the system. However, the characteristics of acquired data can be vary according to the position of anomaly installed or the position of data acquired. In this research, the coordinate transform of journal bearing vibration signal was proposed to overcome the limitation mentioned above. Journal bearing systems are equipped two gap sensors with ninety degree angles, and it can enable to generate coordinate transformed signals in arbitrary angle domain. More abundant information for each normal or anomaly conditions are obtained from coordinate transformation than only the data of the existing measuring position, then we have developed a reliable and robust diagnosis algorithm for journal bearing system.

  • Unlike ordinary vehicle chassis frame, chassis frame of military vehicle is long and that is operated in harsh driving environment in middle of war. Thus, because large dynamic loads is acting on the frame, it is important to secure the durability of the frame based on the structural dynamic characteristic analysis. The purpose of the study is that the chassis frame is optimized to secure durability of the chassis frame of the military vehicle according to the structural dynamic characteristic analysis. Also, structure optimization are performed using parametric optimization and topology optimization methods.

지향성 보청기 성능 검사 장치 개발 (Development of Directional Digital Hearing Aid Performance Testing System)

  • The most recent trend on digital hearing aid is to increase the ratio of signal to noise by directivity or to develop noise reduction algorithm inside DSP IC chip. This paper designed, fabricated and tested a digital hearing aid directivity testing device in which a micro-mouse-like the stepping motor with a speaker rotates around an examinant. Both ears of the examinant were fixed with ITE hearing aids in order to respond to receiving sound. The experimental results were compared with those of a boundary element method program for verification. The diameter of the directivity testing device was 2 m and the micro-mouse was precisely controlled by PICBASIC micro processor.

  • This paper Presents the performance test of an impact hammer drill in conjunction with the parameter consideration of coefficient of restitution, lubrication and friction, pressure leakage, vibration damper and production quality. Novel measurement setups are innovated in order to get the Parameter data. The measured data are compared with the computational results, and this comparison gives a confidence on the computational model, which can be used for a optimal design of impact hammer drills.

  • In this paper, a hybrid-type vibration isolator which has air chamber(spring) and viscous damper in series is developed. The developed vibration isolator is designed to perform 3 following functions : spring function for normal operating conditions, damping function to reduce an impact for sudden move of upper beam, and finally leveling function. Based on the given natural frequency and damping factor, the design procedure is proposed. The performance of the developed isolator is tested by measuring stiffness and damping.

  • Many commercial high speed and lightly loaded rotating machineries incorporate floating ring bearings (FRBs) owing to their low cost and reduced power losses. Many researchers have developed various analytical models to predict the performance and the stability of those rotor-bearing systems with FRBs. However, most of the models failed to predict stability of the rotor-bearing systems with FRBs. FRBs comprise two fluid films in series and the ratio of floating ring speed to journal speed reflects the equilibrium state of the two fluid films. Therefore the speed ratio is one of the main concerns in the analysis of FRBs. This paper provides the experimental results of the speed ratio which enables one to verify of the analysis model for FRBs.

최적화기법을 이용한 대용량 영구자석 전동기의 코깅토크 저감 연구 (A Cogging Torque Reduction study of Large Scale BLDC Motor by using Numerical Optimization)

  • 대용량 BLDC 모터의 진동과 소음의 원인은 영구자석과 슬롯형상에 의한 코깅토크와 전류 파형에 의한 고주파이다. 특히 대용량 BLDC의 경우 코깅토크에 의한 진동 및 소음의 영향이 상대적으로 큰 값을 가지게 되며, 본 연구는 5MW급 연구자석형 전동기에서 코깅토크 발생원인 중 하나인 영구자석의 형상을 최적화하기 위하여 RSM(Response Surface Method)과 민감도기법을 적용하여 코깅토크 저감을 위한 연구를 하였다. FEM에 의해서 자속밀도분포와 토크를 계산하고, 1개의 목적함수와 3개의 설계변수를 설정하여 최적화 하였다. FEM과 최적화기법(RSM+민감도기법)을 결합하여 영구자석의 형상을 최적화한 결과 코깅토크의 ripple이 최대 20%정도로 감소되었으며, 목적함수와 설계변수의 개수에 따라 더욱 개선될 수 있다.

  • An acoustic testing device composed of 2 probe microphones was developed for the electro-acoustic specification testing of the ITE (In-The-Ear) hearing aid (HA). The amplitude ratio and the phase difference between the incident pressure onto the HA microphone and the outward pressure of the HA receiver were measured by the present acoustic system. The microphones were particularly used because of small acoustic cavities where input and output pressures were present. The acoustic wall composed of clay completely blocks the propagation of the sound pressure between the small acoustic cavities. The system has an advantage of structural flexibility for the acoustic testing of different sizes and shapes of ITE-type HAs.

  • It is well known that tire pattern design factors have a large influence on overall tire performance. In this paper, the basic study on the effects of tire pattern design factors on tire labeling performance has been carried out through experimental tests. The pass-by noise is affected by tire pattern design, by a maximum of 2.7dB(A), and the number of sipes gives large effects on PBN. The rolling resistance is also influenced, mostly by the number of longitudinal grooves and secondly the number of sipes. Finally, there is a weak correlation between PBN and RR when the pattern design factors are changed.

  • Recently, as the requirements of several mobile products come to the front, to cope with the market needs, various mobile storage applications have appeared. Therefore, the core components and technologies for mobile optical disc drives have been developed continuously. In case of the optical storage, the small sized optical pickup is necessary to realize the mobile optical disc drive, because the optical pickup height is determined by the optical parts and an actuator. In this paper, we propose the optical pickup actuator using the horizontally arranged magnetic circuit, and apply to 5mm height Small Form-factor Optical Drive.
