A study on improper notions appeared in dealing with quotient and remainder in division for decimal numbers in Korean elementary math textbooks and its improvements (우리나라 초등학교 수학 교과서의 소수 나눗셈에서의 몫과 나머지 취급에서 나타나는 부적절한 관념과 그 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Current textbooks may provide students and teachers with three improper notions related to the quotient and the remainder in division for decimal numbers as in the following. First, only the calculated results in (natural numbers)${\div}$(natural numbers) is the quotient. Second, when the quotient and the remainder are obtained in division for decimal numbers, the quotient is natural number and the remainder is unique. Third, only when the quotient cannot be divided exactly, the quotient can be rounded off. These can affect students and teachers on their notions of division for decimal numbers, so improvements are needed for to break it. For these improvements, the following measures are required. First, in the curriculum guidebook, the meaning of the quotient and the remainder in division for decimal numbers should be presented clearly, for preventing the possibility of the construction of such improper notions. Second, examples, problems, and the like should be presented in the textbooks enough to break such improper notions. Third, the didactical intention should be presented clearly with respect to the quotient and the remainder in division for decimal numbers in teacher's manual.

Changes of Cell Surface Hydrophobicity of a Serratia marcescens with Cultivation Time and Temperatures (배양온도와 시간에 따른 Serratia marcescens 표면의 소수성 성질변화)

  • S. marcescens cultured at $30^{\circ}C$ with vigorous shaking was shown to produce red-pigment, prodigiosin, in the senescent phase of growth. Also, it showed many hydrophobic characteristrics, which were tested by the adherence to noncharged surfaces of polystyrene dishes, a typical agent for the binding of hydrophobic cells and molecules. However, when the cell was cultured at $37^{\circ}C$, it no longer produced either red pigment or hydrophobic materials. Therefore, the bacteria cultured at $37^{\circ}C$ was completely washed-out from the polystyrene dishes at the copious washing step with tap water, in contrast to the cell cultured at $30^{\circ}C$ which was sticked onto the polystyrene dishes very tightly. The lipid compositions extracted from the S. marcescens cultured at $30^{\circ}C$ or $37^{\circ}C$ were very different from each other; the phospholipids, glycolipids and unidentified lipids were produced from the cell cultured at $30^{\circ}C$, whereas large amounts of serratamolide, amphipathic compound, were produced from the cell cultured at $37^{\circ}C$. The data suggest that the pronounced cell surface hydrophobicity of the S. marcescens is mediated by a combination of several surface factors that were affected by cultivation time and temperatures.

360 RGBD Image Synthesis from a Sparse Set of Images with Narrow Field-of-View (소수의 협소화각 RGBD 영상으로부터 360 RGBD 영상 합성)

  • Depth map is an image that contains distance information in 3D space on a 2D plane and is used in various 3D vision tasks. Many existing depth estimation studies mainly use narrow FoV images, in which a significant portion of the entire scene is lost. In this paper, we propose a technique for generating 360° omnidirectional RGBD images from a sparse set of narrow FoV images. The proposed generative adversarial network based image generation model estimates the relative FoV for the entire panoramic image from a small number of non-overlapping images and produces a 360° RGB and depth image simultaneously. In addition, it shows improved performance by configuring a network reflecting the spherical characteristics of the 360° image.

The Effect of the Hydrophobicity of Silicon Surface on the Formation of the Water Marks during HF-last Wet Chemical Processing (반도체 습식 HF 최종 공정 중 실리콘 표면의 소수성이 Water Mark형성에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구에서는 반도체 소자의 수율을 현저히 저하시키는 반도체 습식 세정 시 건조 후 웨이퍼 표면에 형성된 water mark의생성 원인을 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 초순수수의 물방울을 다른 접촉각의 시편 위에 고의로 잔류시킨 후 질소 및 산소 분위기에서 건조시켰다. 건조 분위기와 상관없이 HF 처리된 소수성의시편 뿐만 아니라 친수성의 시편에서도 water mark이 관찰되었다. 생성된 water mark의 크기는 분위기에 무관하게 접촉각이 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 그러나 산소 분위기에서 HF처리된 시편은 건조 후 질소 분위기에서 생성된 water mark의 크기보다 2배이상 크게 형성되었다. 이들 산소 및 질소 분위기에서 HF 처리된 실리콘 시편 위에 생성된 water mark의 성분을 AES(Auger Electron Spectroscopy)로 분석한 결과 water mark는 실리콘과 산소의 화합물 형태로 존재함을 확인하였다. AAS(Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy)분석 결과 건조 분위기에 상관 없이 HF처리된 실리콘 시편 위에 물방울을 30분 잔류시 물방울 내의 실리콘 농도가 증가하였다. 또한 물방울내 ozone을 첨가하여 실리콘 표면을 산화 시켰을 때 물방울과 표면의 접촉각 감소와 water mark의크기의 증가를 초래하였다.

  • The construction of a fingerprint database is important to evaluate the performance of an automatic fingerprint recognition system. Due to the cost of collecting fingerprints, there are only few benchmark databases available. Since it is hard to evaluate how robust the system is in various environments with the databases, this paper proposes a novel method that generates fingerprint images automatically from only a few training samples by using the genetic algorithm. Fingerprints generated by the proposed method include similar characteristics of those collected from the corresponding real environment. The proposed method has been verified by comparing with real fingerprint images, showing the usefulness of the method.

  • French poststructuralists Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari pointed out that the minority age already has come in the modern society through discussing minority topic. Futhermore, they supported 'Becoming' as new methodology that minorities escape from suppressed reality. 'Becoming' is the practical concept for how one identity could split into different lives and subjects, thus it could be explained as an exemplary that autonomous change and actively entering into different lives. The purpose of this study seeks the practical way for elder women can independently participate in media education which is based on concretely 'becoming woman'. For this, the article examines the main concept and thought of Deleuze and Guattari. The reason why this article premises this theory is for changing 'desire' of elder women's approach to 'becoming women' through new interpretation about minority and minorities which were defined by quantitative criteria. Consequently, this article would suggests the direction of senior media education for seniors for the positive and specific effect.

  • It is known that a bent function corresponds to a perfect nonlinear function, which makes it difficult to do the differential cryptanalysis in DES and in many other block ciphers. In this paper, for an odd prime p, quadratic p-ary bent functions defined on finite fields are given from the families of p-ary sequences with optimal correlation properly. And quadratic p-ary bent functions, that is, perfect nonlinear functions from the finite field F $_{p^{m}}$ to its prime field $F_{p}$ are constructed by using the trace functions. trace functions.

A Study on the Unified Method of Coordinate Registration in Cadastral Map Information (지적도면정보 좌표등록의 통일화 방안 연구)

  • Cadastral map information is created by registering parcel information such as location, lot number, land category and boundary through the cadastral survey. However, with regard to boundary point coordinate, computerized cadastral information data was registered to either two decimal places (unit in centimeter) or three decimal places (unit in millimeter) so that a confusion in cadastral administration and cadastral survey has been caused. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to look for a method of matching two different coordinate systems through the consideration of registration of cadastral information data and area calculation. In conclusion, the result of the investigation not only shows that areal change and the creation of minute polygons resulted from land alteration could be solved by changing boundary point coordinate from two decimal places to three decimal places, but also suggests that the related laws and regulations to register boundary point coordinate to three decimal places should be institutionally corrected and applied.
