This study examined Korean traditional dancing performances in small theaters as a phenomenological approach. Korean traditional dances, as cultural welfare, are expected to be attractive to the public and our cultural heritage is expected to be inherited from them. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for Korean tradition dancing to be supplied to the public as a Traditional Cultural Welfare Program. A qualitative approach was taken to best achieve the aims of this study. The data used in this study were collected from July 10th to September 1st, 2016, using in-depth interviews. Seven Korean dance professionals with more than 15 years' experience in traditional dancing performance were enrolledin this study. The traditional dancing performance in small theaters is necessary in terms of providing concert halls to local cultural artists and high quality performances to audiences as traditional cultural welfare. The traditional dancing performance in small theaters as cultural welfare will provide a platform to enjoy various traditional cultures across all ages and all class levels of the society in auniversal dimension.

This research aims to develop practical location-based services that provide users with personalized theater guide services on smart phones. In this research, we have designed and implemented a smart theater guide system for Deahakro, Seoul based on smart phones incorporating GPS. This system first identifies the current position using GPS, and maps the current position onto the map. It is designed and implemented to provide users with personalized information service about the plays and the theaters nearby the current position. It is also optimized to be useful effectively by performing on-site experiments.

Currently, most small theaters in Korea are not equipped with fire escape prevention laws unlike large theaters. The small theater is a place where many people stay in a small space, which can lead to a great deal of damage in the event of a fire. Therefore, we propose an efficient evacuation method using the evacuation behavior of the crowd as a way to minimize the casualties in case of a fire in a small theater.

The purpose of this research is to make a basic study of a small theater planned to be built on the university campus for the exclusive use of performing arts. For this, the documents and records of small theaters in Seoul was first reviewed. And then, some selected theaters among small theaters opened since 2000 was examined and analyzed by their blueprints, design maps and actual measurement on the spot. Since 1990s, the increase in per capital income, the advancement of culture and arts, and the accompanying increase in demand have prompted universities to open performing arts courses. Going beyond the concept of a multipurpose auditorium a space devoted to professional performances has been increasingly needed by many universities. Small theaters that have been the subjects of study have become extinct or changed for other uses due to the rapid changes in the performing environment. This research examined theaters that have opened since 2000 and analyzed the data on their stages and seats. This study is intended for providing preliminary data for building of a small theater on the university campus.

This research suggests video solutions and efficient implementations for low-budget performances. This study adopts Millumin as a mapping server, which reflects the character of small theatres with a lower budget that doesn't use more than four projectors in a show. By comparing pros and cons of media servers, the study discovers how to employ an appropriate server as well as to participate in a pre-video production stage, which increases the artistry of directing and reduces unnecessary graphics. Meanwhile, with the participation of an interpretive programmer, this study suggests a way to manage the rehearsal time and to increase the artistry of directing. In addition, this study analyses the relationship between the video's visual motive source in the story's development, crisis, climax, twist and the provided narrative based on "Trace U the musical (2018)", by this analyzation, the relationship between storytelling and the video is fully shown. A visual motive is related to the action of actors, the movement of dancers, the music, the lyrics and the lines. Furthermore, the provided narrative confirms that the existence of an actual relationship with the turning point of the plots, characters' emotion, suggestions of sub-plot and the twists of own story. In conclusion, it implies a video of small theatres can not be separated from the probability of the narrative.sh an efficient ad execution strategy that reflected the characteristics of mobile devices.

The Little theater in Sejong Performing Arts Center is a proscenium theater with 447 seats, which was built in 1978. The remodeling of the theater was decided in 2005 and acoustical design was conducted. Design guidelines were suggested based on the feasibility studies and acoustical measurement results. Target reverberation time was set at 1.2-1.6s with respect to the main performances. For the acoustical design, side balconies were added to increase the level of lateral reflections. Acoustic diffusers were designed and scattering coefficients were measured in a 1:10 reverberation chamber. From the results of computer simulation and a 1:10 scale model measurement, it was indicated that the new space will have RT of 1.2-1.6 s in middle frequencies when fully occupied.

국악전용 공연장으로 지어진 국립국악 소극장의 음향 특성을 실내 음선도, 암소음, 잔향시간 및 음압분포에 의해 분석.평가하였다. 연구결과 무대 앞부분과 객석모서리에서 음선경로차가 17m 이상으로 나타나 회주공조현상의 발생이 예측되며 남부순환도로와 인접하여 소극장내에 높은 암소음이 측정되었다. 잔향시간의 측정결과 과다한 실내 흡음력으로 인해 공석시에 계획값 보다 0.8초 정도가 짧으며 이는 관객입장시 더욱 악화될 것이 예측되어 1석당 실용적을 증가와 실내 흡음력을 가능한 줄일 필요가 있다. 음압레벨은 음악당 전 객석에서 고른 음압분포가 보이고 있으나 무대 음원에서 객석전열 사이에 초기 음압감쇠가 크게 나타나 무대주변의 음압 보강이 요구된다.

This study focuses on the potential for creating spatial and atmospheric effects in small theaters using mobile stage equipment, without being constrained by physical space or theater facilities, for mega musical productions. With the continuous growth of mega musicals in the domestic market, the study analyzes the distribution and sales of musical works in Korea and proposes methods for creating spatial effects in university musical education to facilitate the production of mega musicals in small theaters. The mobile stage equipment is designed based on the principle of the periaktoi, a stage mechanism used in ancient Greek theater and the characteristics of mobile stage equipment used in musicals such as <Notre Dame de Paris> and <Laundry>. The mobile stage equipment is a four-sided column-shaped device, which is applied to the musical <Les Misérables> to derive the potential for creating spatial effects, representing the inner state of characters, and forming the mood of the drama. The study is expected to provide opportunities for performing mega musical productions in university musical education and to contribute to the development of the musical industry and education. The utilization of mobile stage equipment demonstrates the possibility of producing mega musical productions in small theaters.

Arts organizations commonly face a range of operational challenges, from a lack of skilled workers to limited financial resources and thus are dependent on subsidies from the government. Yet, to fully realize their mission arts organizations must both develop strategies to effectively utilize government support and seek a way forward that does not depend on public subsidies. Business diversification, a strategy from corporate management, entails the expansion of products and services, and entry into new industries, enabling companies to disperse risks and increase profits. We propose that business diversification can be effectively applied to arts organization to address the myriad operational difficulties they face. To understand how an arts organization might deploy business diversification we conducted a case study of an organization that is actively pursuing the strategy: Sanwoollim Theater. We interviewed staff members of Sanwoollim including the executive director, as well as selected audiences, to understand how the business diversification model was being applied at Sanwoollim. Our findings indicate that, in a complex arts and cultural space, business diversification is a fresh and flexible new strategy that can enable private cultural arts organizations to thrive sustainably. It is also evident that government support in the initial stages of the process encourages diversification and that successful private arts organizations will leverage government subsidies into a sustainable business plan.

협회는 지난 2000년 11월 15일 오전 10시 서울 세종문화회관 소극장에서 본 협희 오상현 이사장과 김재영 행정자지부 차관을 비롯하여 손해보험업계 관계자, 소방공무원등 500여 명이 참석한 가운데 화재 예방 및 진압과 구조구급활동을 통하여 국민의 생명과 재산 보호에 헌신한 우수소방관을 표창하는 "제27회 소방안전봉사상 시상식"을 가졌다. 본 소방안전봉사상은 지난 1974년 한국화재보험협회가 국내 11개 손해보험회사의 지원을 받아 제정하여, 화재 및 각종 재해 현장에서 봉사하고 있는 모범 소방관을 선발, 표창하는 제도로서 27년째 계속되고 있는데 올해까지의 수상자는 모두 3백22명에 이른다. 이번에 선발된 17명의 수상자에게는 상패 및 부상(대상 300만원, 본상 200만원)과 함께 1계급 특진의 영예가 주어졌다. 한편, 작년에 처음 제정하여 금년에 두 번째인 특별상에게는 상패와 함께 부상 50만원을 시상하였다. 2000년도 제27희 소방안전봉사상을 수상한 대상 1명과 본상 16명 그리고 특별상 1명의 공적을 간단히 소개한다.
