Since the 1970s, advanced industrial economies have been suffering from rapid de-industrialization. While the impacts were more serious in the areas specialized in heavy industries, these old industrial areas are struggling with problems of high unemployment, environmental contamination and destruction of urban landscape. To tackle such problems and rebuild urban economies, some authors, such as Richard Florida and Charles Lanrdry, have suggested a new economy centered on "creativity." Adopting this suggestion, many countries have been attempting to create creative cities. Authors of this paper individually conducted a case study research on a few selected cities of England, France, Australia, Japan and Korea. This paper synthesizes the results of such research to compare and analyse the processes and mechanisms contributed to developing the creative cities in each country and draw theoretical and policy implications from the individual research.

Humanities-collaborated practices in various fields have been supported by several governmental policies as a way to overcome recent social problems. Museum, due to its roles in preserving and sharing cultural and historical heritage for the development of society and communities, has emerged as a key base for the humanities-collaborated practices. This study, in this context, aimed to analyze how the humanities-based museum education programs have been practiced in the museums, which, in turn, might provide a basic data for the future direction and development of the programs and the related governmental policy as well. For this purpose, this study first examined theoretical framework for the link between humanities and museum education, from which a survey was developed. The survey was conducted to 75 museum educators who have been in charge of humanities-based educational programs. The result showed that most programs seemed to reflect the basic direction and purpose of the humanities-linked with museum education. Yet, more needs were found in terms of the educational themes and methods which can facilitate multicultural literacy and reflective thinking and activities within experiential learning environments.

This study is concerned with proposing a new construct named "spatial metaphor" in the field of user interface design for web. Recently, web has been recognized as an important vehicle of delivering messages and information to customers. Since both hyperlink and multimedia technology are crucial part of web, its user interface requires a new approach to enhance user's acceptance of web. In this sense, we introduced a new concept named "spatial metaphor" instead of hierarchical menus. As a theoretical basis, Davis (1986)'s TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) was used to test the statistical validity of the proposed spatial metaphor. For test web site, we developed a prototype designed by using atomic-web system and spatial metaphor. By using the prototype, we built a web-based questionnaire system so that respondents can use it directly before answering the questionnaire. To prove its statistical validity, we collected valid questionnaires and tested with LISREL. In this way, statistical validity of our proposed approach was proven.approach was proven.

Outsourcing, importing of publishing metadata and revitalizing copy cataloging have reduced importance of traditional cataloging. Request of interoperability between other communities and business integration of related system also have changed the meaning of library catalog. Furthermore, newly declared principle and rules are totally different to existing AACR, MARC, measures to cataloging education for next generation seems to be urgently needed. In this study, firstly put together a series of discussion about future cataloging and new role of cataloging librarian, and secondly basis on it, suggest direction of cataloging education course which divided two sectors. One is for students who are undergraduated, and another is for current cataloger at working level. In basic training, it should contain principle of knowledge organization and diverse resources and its relationship, encoding scheme and its practice. The other hand, in re-education training, it should include that re-recognition about new concept of bibliographic world, changing vocabulary and encoding scheme, furthermore metadata scheme about diverse resources which library have accepted, and its integration.

Near-Field Communication(NFC) is a useful technology that is receiving worldwide attention. NFC mobile payment systems are being developed by many technology companies including financial institutions especially for the public transportation. In this research we find several factors for the intention to adopt NFC payment system. We surveyed 355 respondents who live in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam which became more interested by Korean as a post China country to test our research hypothesis. Using Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) we find that the factors of Social influence, Trust, Security, and Users' Convenience play the significant role to the factor of Intention to Use of NFC payment system.

패선/구부림 가공은 백판지의 후가공의 일부분으로서 통상적으로 고평량인 백판지를 소비 자에게 맞는 형태로 가공하는 한 공정으로서 접는 공정을 용이하게 하기 위하여 종이 표면 에 패선을 넣어 구부려 접게 되는데 이때 구부리는 면의 표면적의 증가와 내부에서 외부로 향하는 Stress 에 의하여 종이의 표면층이 터지는 현상이 발생하기도 한다.이러한 터짐을 방지하면서 구부립 가공을 하기 위하여 백판지에 요구되는 특성은 여러 가지가 있으며 특히 고평량인 경우에는 종이가 구부러지면서 변형이 크게되는 만큼 외부로 밀리는 힘이 더욱크 게 작용하게 되고 이 힘을 충분히 수용할 수 있는 종이 자체의 강도가 펼요하게 되는데 본 연구에서는 다층판지의 원료특성과 판지특성등이 패션/구부림 가공적성과 연관성을 밝혀내 어 향후 연구방향의 기초를 삼고자 한다. 본 실험에서는 실험실적 결과와 실제 제품에서와의 차이를 최소화 하기 위하여 현장에서 생산되는 백판지를 사용하였으며 백판지의 각층을 구성하는 원료특성과의 상관관계까지 고 려하여 대전공장에서 생산되는 원료의 특성을 분석하고 같은 시간대의 제품과 비교펑가하는 방법을 취하였다. 각각의 원료 특성과 제품특성 (구부러짐 특성) . 공정조건등의 자료를 일정기간 취합하여 S Statisca 를 사용한 통계분석을 하였으며 1차 분석 결과 종이무성에 미치는 영향이 큰 수분 함량과 표면층의 원료구성 (Softwood 함량) 이 일차적으로 영향을 크게 미치며 종이 특성 으로는 CD 방향 터짐과 관련하여 MD 방향 인장, 내절, CD방향 강성등이 상관관계지수 0 0.7 이상으로 비교적 관계가 깊은 것으로 나타나며 인장과 신장율의 곱인 Toughness는 상 대적으로 낮아 터짐 지수로 활용하기는 어려울 것으로 판단되며 또한 신장율도 0.5 수준으 로 나타나며 패선구부러짐에 따른 층간구조변화에 따른 층간결합력이 영향이 있을 것으로 추측은 되었으나 분석결과 0.5 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 CD 방향과 MD 방향의 터짐 성 상관관계도 0.5 이상인 것으로 나타나 섬유배향성도 패선/구부림 가공적성과 관련이 있 는 것으로 나타남으로서 패선/구부림 적성향상은 원료뿐만 아니라 초지공정조건에서도 향상 될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 보다 세분화한 분석 및 도공층의 역할이 펼요할 것으로 판단되며 또한 지층구조분석 을 통한 Modeling 도 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

The aim of this study is to analyze the functional ego state of public librarians who should take a role of an information intermediary for children and young adults through the ego-gram which is suggested in transactional analysis theory and review their limit and feasibility as instructors. As a result of analysis, the whole ego state type of public librarians is founded to be N-type(Nightingale type) like NP-AC-A-CP-FC. The characteristics of this type can be interpreted as 'to show the tendency of self-denial in spite of their dedication.' So, the public librarians have to do their best to develop A(Adult), CP(Critical Parent) and FC(Free Child) ego state to take the requirements and behaviors of children and young adults in nurturing attitudes and enhance their autonomy and creativity through active mutual interaction. Improving A and FC is also very helpful to decrease their stress and raise their job satisfaction.

By the rapid progress of U-IT(Ubiquitous Information Technology), a variety of national development policies have been devised on the basis of the utilization of the technology Above all things, a number of local governments are driving to construct a 3D GIS(Geographical Information System) that is as a infrastructure for the regional development which is including a u-City construction as a future city model, the competitiveness reinforcement of local governments, a reasonable means of urban management, etc. In this study we tried to find the fundamental direction of construction and utilization of 3D GIS in local governments. As the result of study, we suggested the advanced vision of 3D GIS has a role of treating the public affairs of local governments and of supporting the various private business scope.

Computer technology has enhanced a new transaction between device or software not just between humans. It offers users agent-like functionality and becomes increasingly common. It's roles diverse from gathering informations to automated trading. However, the use of new technology challenges to traditional legal systems and makes issues in adjusting the legal systems. Contract with electronic agents makes some issues such as whether the contract is enforceable or what principle's responsibility about the operation of electronic agents is. This paper analysis these issues and provides some solutions. First of all, we should make a legal act or revise previous laws. It is better that new civil law establishes for electronic communications and approach the law of agency for attribution of the responsibility issue. Secondly, in practice, website such as shopping mall should provide the terms of conditions to bind a contract.

Today, TQM is used as a important tool of management innovation for enterprise's competitive power. Purposes of this paper are to find out the implementation strategy of TQM activities for SMEs through the analysis which examine the relationship between key activity factors and business performance. This study has been conducted using the data collected from 116 SMEs implementing TQM activity. By analyses of the questionnaires, empirical results shows that TQM activities has positive effect on business performance. The contribution of this study is that it provides a conceptual framework and empirical evidence of the causal relationship between key activity factors and business performance. The result of this study can be used for selection of the performance measurement indicators for target achievement in TQM activity. And it will contribute for objectivity of activity performance in case of displaying measurement indicator showing the performance of TQM activity.
