As the needs of library users change diversely along with the rapid developments and changes in society, libraries have gone beyond the traditional role of providing, gathering, organizing and preserving materials and information to provide various program services in culture, interests, and practicality that accommodate cultural and educational needs. Public libraries, in particular, are reflecting their role as the representative educational and cultural institutions of the community and following social changes to expand the role of libraries and manage various programs. This study aims to vitalize adult-targeted programs in representative Seoul libraries by understanding the current situation of the aforementioned programs through the past five years, and ran a survey on the satisfaction levels of those who are in charge of the programs and those who utilize the programs. The purpose of the study is to comprehensively analyze the improvements needed for running the programs and the demands of users in order to propose ways to activate library programs for adults.

For the goal, the study collected data through a 5-session profound interview with those disabled persons and then through this author's observation. This study analyzed all the data and, as a result, categorized three significant themes that best represented the above mentioned meaning, which are 'tension of beginning', 'joy of being in company with others' and 'I as the present being'. With those meaningful themes taken into serious consideration. Finally, this study suggested that field programs for social welfare practice in better connection with adult learners' major should be researched and developed.

The scientific culture programs of 13 Government-supported Research Institutes in the field of Science and Technology (GRIST) in Daedeok Innopolis are studied and classified according to the activities and operational types of programs conducted by GRIST over the past three years (2017~19). The total 150 scientific and cultural programs of GRIST were operational with annual average of 11.5 programs per institution. Science festival and field trip, as a scientific culture activity, account for 72%. By means of operational entity, the programs were identified as 68(45.3%) for PPOI(Programs Planned and Operated by Institute) and 82(54.7%) for PCPI(Programs Contributed and Participated by Institute). Also the 87.2% of all participants were elementary, middle, high school, and college students and the program for adult participants was none. From this study, we suggest that open lab type of science festival programs, which organized and operated by each GRIST, to inform ongoing and advanced research for public understand of research (PUR) and science concerts for targeting adult audiences.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural causal relationship between adult learners' participation in lifelong learning, education program satisfaction, and social capital. Also, the study reviews how education program satisfaction variables mediate the relationship between adult learners' participatory motivation and social capital. Subjects included 425 adult learners who participated in lifelong education, and the research hypothesis was verified through structure equation modeling analysis. Results are as follows: First, adult learners' participatory motivation had a positive (+) effect on social capital and education program satisfaction. Secondly, education program satisfaction had a positive (+) effect on social capital. Thirdly, education program satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between adult learners' participatory motivation and social capital and showed a significant indirect effect. This study suggests that it is necessary to develop various programs that can satisfy learners as well as improve social capital, participation motivation, and satisfaction of programs provided by lifelong educational institutions. Based on these results, this study suggests not only the role of lifelong education institutes, but also ways to improve social capital of adult learners within the lifelong education field.

In the experimental group, the laughter treatment program was conducted for fifteen weeks for a total of fifty minutes a week. t-test and covariance analysis were used to verify the effectiveness of the laughter treatment program. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that the laughter treatment program significantly improves the satisfaction of life of adult women. Second, the laughter treatment program significantly increased the emotional perception of adult women. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study and future research topics were discussed.
The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of a group coaching program to promote metacognitive learning ability in an academic context for adult learners enrolled at a distance university. The topics and objectives of the group coaching program focused on understanding and applying the elements of 'metacognitive knowledge', and each session was conducted online by integrating 'planing-monitoring-regulating', an element of 'metacognitive regulation', into the REGROW model of coaching. To verify the effectiveness of the program, research participants were recruited from adult university students enrolled in A Cyber University and assigned to the experimental and control groups. The experimental group was given the program, while the control group was given the program after the completion of the study. Metacognitive learning ability level and academic self-efficacy were tested before and after the program for both groups, and a satisfaction survey was conducted for the experimental group. Analyses of the data revealed that the experimental group showed higher scores on both the overall and sub-scales of perceived metacognitive learning ability and academic self-efficacy compared to the control group. Participants in the experimental group also reported high satisfaction with the program, increased knowledge of metacognition, awareness and application of metacognitive strategies, and found the group coaching approach beneficial. Based on these findings, implications, and suggestions for future research are presented.

The collected data was analyzed by IBM SPSS statistics v.18 and AMOS v.18. Results : Based on the verification of model by the results of the study, ${\chi}^2=365.785$(df=193, p<.001), $CMIN/DF({\chi}^2/df)=1.90$, GFI=0.88, AGFI=0.84, NFI=0.88, TLI=0.93, CFI=0.94, RMR=0.07, RMSEA=0.06, The action of Herpes zoster preventive behavior and perceived behavior control for adults over 50 years old made direct influence to the Herpes zoster preventive behavior and the attitude of preventive behavior showed the largest total effect. Objective : This study aimed to determine the impact of an instrumental daily living activity program for adults with developmental disabilities on their daily living activities and quality of life (QOL). Methods : This study used a single-group pre-test-post-test experimental design. Participants comprised 17 adults with developmental disabilities from the Welfare Center for the Disabled. This program consisted of 10 sessions, including pre- and post-assessments, pertaining to training and education on grocery shopping, meal preparation and cleaning, home management, safety, and emergency management. The evaluation tools used in this study were the Quality of Life Questionnaire, Korean version of the Life Space Assessment (K-LSA), and Korean version of the Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (K-IADL). Results : There was a statistically significant difference in the QOL and K-IADL scores before and after the instrumental activities of daily living occupational therapy program, and there was no statistically significant difference in the K-LSA scores. Conclusion : This study confirmed that implementing an IADL program for adults with developmental disabilities had a positive impact on performance and QOL. For adults with developmental disabilities to participate in daily life and society, interventions for work participation, including training in activities of daily living, must be expanded.
