A Weight Analysis for Measuring the Management Performance of Strategic Business Units of Large Construction Companies (대형건설기업의 경영성과 측정을 위한 전략사업본부 비중분석)

  • The business environment that affects the management performance can be characterized by each Strategic Business Unit (SBU) since construction companies win overseas contracts due to the fairly good construction situations while experience a decline in the local housing market. Environmental changes can alter the strategic importance of the SBU when measuring the management performance. However, large construction companies apply BSC (Balanced Score Card) for collective calculation to determine the management performance, making it difficult to reflect the strategic importance of SBU. This method may create a distorted image of management performance that fails to take environmental changes into consideration, and as such it needs to be improved. Yet, there are no studies on the weight of each SBU considering environmental changes. Thus, the current study intends to analyze the weight of SBU for company-wide measurement of the performance of large construction companies. In addition, a model for analysis of SBU importance is proposed to respond to the constantly changing environmental situations and to modify the weight. For analysis of SBU weight, a questionnaire was conducted with 23 experts and hands-on workers, and the questionnaire result was quantitatively analyzed by applying the FD-AHP method. It is expected that the result will enable a model to be proposed to calculate the weight per division in a manner that reflects environmental changes and minimizes strategic distortion when measuring the management performance of large construction companies.

  • This Study's topic is to study on the effects of core competencies as such as leadership, strategic competences' influence towards the university-industry cooperation on technology transfer and education performances. First, the existing studies and literatures have been reviewed. Second, the nationwide surveys were conducted. In results, the leadership competence did not have any impact on the operation performances. Strategic competence did not have any impact on the technology transfer, but it influenced the education performance. Human resource competence also did not have any influence on the managing performances, but it has been analyzed that the R&D competence had an influence over the technology transfer part of the managing performance. The University-Industry Cooperations create an opportunity and secures competencies for the enterprise, it also enhances the R&D competency of University and provides supports in nurturing the human resources. Especially, the strategic competency amongst the independent variables has influenced the education performance.

  • 참여정부 들어 정보통신부와 정보통신연구진흥원은 우리 경제의 성장잠재력을 회복하고 국민소득 2만불을 달성하기 위한 IT산업 육성정책으로 'IT839전략'을 추진하였고, 그 결과 선진국형 R&D 발전모델 제시, IT R&D사업의 연구생산성 미국 공공연구기관 수준으로 제고, 선진국과의 기술격차 1년 이상 단축('03년 2.6년${\rightarrow}$'06년 1.6년), 총 111건의 국제표준특허 기술 확보, 기술개발 결과로 발생한 특허, 논문, 기술료 성과 큰 폭 증가 등의 성과를 얻을 수 있었다. 세계 IT 시장을 보면 선진국의 견제는 강해지고 후발국의 추격은 가속화되고 있으며, IT기반 융합기술연구 및 지재권 확보의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 이러한 환경변화를 인지하고 이를 발판으로 도약하기 위해서 "기초 원천"연구를 강화하는 동시에 응용기술에 있어서는 quot;상용화quot;의 수준을 높이는 ${\ulcorner}$Smile IT 전략${\lrcorner}$을 추진할 계획이다. 이 전략의 주요내용은 첫째, IT융합연구 강화 둘째, 기술의 창의성 혁신성을 기반으로 한 미래원천기술 투자비중 확대 셋째, 융합연구와 원천기술 연구를 촉진할 수 있는 R&D 프로세스 개선 넷째, 융합 및 원천연구를 수행할 산 학 연의 연구역량을 강화 하겠다는 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 관세행정 환경의 급격한 변화로 관세행정 기능의 사명별 중요도가 변화되고 행정방향도 주변분야까지 확대되었다. 이에 위험관리의 패러다임도 업무별 개인 차원의 적발과 단기성과 위주에서 지능적이고 정부 차원의 장기성과 위주로의 변화가 요청된다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 첫째로 관세행정의 위험관리에서의 변수간의 통계적 상관관계는 높게 나타났다. 둘째로 계획, 점검, 개선 단계의 변수만이 위험관리 성과인 만족도에 영향을 미치고, 집행단계는 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째로 각 단계에서 조직성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 변수는 계획단계는 안정성과 민주성 및 투명성이, 점검단계에서는 신속성과 정확성 및 합법성이, 개선단계에서는 혁신성과 교육성 및 홍보성이 위험관리 만족도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 관세행정에서 통합전략적 위험관리를 위해 첫째로 취약성은 최소화하고 강점을 강화키는 사전예방적 기능이 확보되어야 한다. 둘째로 위협사건 최소화와 적출기능이 확보되어야 한다. 셋째로 발생손실의 복구와 교정기능이 확보되어 고객을 감동시켜야 한다. 넷째, 변화에 대응하여 지속적으로 성장할 수 있는 기능이 확보되어야 한다.

A Study on the Assessment of Program Outcomes Based on Capstone Design Course (캡스톤디자인 교과목 기반의 프로그램 학습성과 평가 연구)

  • This paper presents a case study on the assessment of program outcomes using the capstone design course based on 16-year management experience and improvements of the school of mechanical design and automation engineering in the seoul national university of science and technology. First, the program outcomes related with the capstone design course are introduced, and the assessment methods and items are described. Based on them, the assessment results in 2008 were obtained and a strategy to improve the results were built after analyzation. As for the strategy, we revealed the assessment items and good examples in an internet web site in advance. As a result, we were able to obtain about 3.3% improved assessment results in 2009. Finally, the validity, efficiency, internal stability, and sustainability of the assessment of the program outcomes using the capstone design course are addressed in terms of a notion of the course-embedded assessment.

  • There are two kind of system in hotel for evaluating management. the first is infra system, for example Front management system - reservation system, C/I, C/O system, POS system , web system, call center management -, Back office system, interface system, and so on which manage direct control for hotel, and next is strategic system, for example BSC , CS . which is supporting hotel management. The purpose of this study was to find using the Balanced Scorecard to evaluate hotel management perfomance. Management performance is based on productivity, quality, time, effect, and responsiveness. Hotel economic value is not equal visual asset which is measured financial value. It is include hotel brand, image, customers who have good loyalty, employees who give customers special service, and systems which was affected by internal process. In conclusion, innovation, growth, internal system process, empioyee and customer have effect hotel performance. Therefore hotel has to know non-financial performance which has positively relate to financial performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the Balanced Score Card for 'I Company' which is a small and medium sized manufacturing company in Busan City. It is suitable for SMEs and suitable for the management environment. The study was intended to contain the detailed needs of managers and employees when developing the performance measurement system. It also allowed other SMEs to benchmark through this study. We also proposed a solution to the problems after BSC construction. In addition, BSC has been developed for the purpose of shifting business strategy from RDS to SSS in accordance with changes in the demand market environment. Strategy Maps were divided into the whole company level and each team level. You can look at strategic goals, core success factors, and key performance indicators at each glance. Finally, we developed a smart performance evaluation system that can easily calculate the score, strategic goal, key success factor, weight of key performance indicators, target score, performance, and achievement rate by creating a smart chart.
