기존의 전화망과 달리 VoIP(Voice over IP)기술은 저렴한 통화 서비스를 가능하게 해주며, 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공해 줄 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있어 현재 이와 관련한 개발이 활발히 진행 중에 있다. 그런데, 대부분의 VoIP시스템이 ITU-T에서 제안한 H.323을 표준으로 삼아 구현되었으나, H.323은 랜(LAN)환경에서 개발된 기술 방식이므로 이에 따른 구조적인 한계점을 가지고 있다. 반면, IETF에서 제안만 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)의 경우는 내용이 간단하고 구현이 쉬울 뿐 아니라 확장성과 포괄성 측면에서 구조적인 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 대안으로 제시되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SIP을 기반으로 한 User Agent와 부재중 음성 메일 서비스의 설계 및 구현에 대해 설명한다. User agent간에는 실시간 음성 및 화상 통화가 가능하며 상대방이 부재중일 경우에는 상대에게 음성 메일을 전송할 수 있다.

우리나라의 변동비반영시장(CBP)은 자동발전제어(AGC)의 제공수준에 관한 정량적 평가방법을 수립되지 않아, 동 서비스의 제공과 직접적으로 관계없는 에너지 공급량에 비례하여 공급대가를 지불하고 있다. 이에 따라 전력거래소는 시장효율 향상을 위한 제도개선의 일환으로 발전기별 이행성과 및 기여도를 반영하는 AGC 정산체계를 수립하였다. 새로운 정산체계에서 발전기별 AGC 이행성과와 기여도는 각각 계통의 기대출력에 대한 실제출력의 통계적 상관계수와 EMS의 제어참여율로 결정된다. 본 논문은 AGC 정산체계의 개선방안에 관한 세부내역 및 근거를 설명하고, 사례분석을 통해 방법론의 유효성을 입증하고 있다.

계산공학 분야는 복잡한 수치이론과 계산 실행 및 분석 툴의 중요성이 높기 때문에 온오프라인 모두에서 효과적인 교육을 수행하는 것이 힘든 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 오프라인 저작도구와 EDISON 플랫폼을 두축으로 효과적인 웹기반 이러닝 환경을 구축하는 과정을 설명하였다. 특징으로는 웹기반이지만 데스크탑에서 오프라인으로 동영상/발표자료/외부링크 등의 이종 콘텐츠들을 조합하여 강의를 구성할 수 있는 저작도구가 있다는 것이다. 또한 계산과학공학 플랫폼인 EDISON의 계산실행 포틀릿을 활용하여 인터랙티브 실습교육 환경을 구성하였다는 것이다. 본 이러닝 시스템은 대학 및 현장에서의 즉각적인 이론습득 및 실습 요구에 대응할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

We examined how science teachers in middle schools practiced and perceived using analogies. A survey was administered to obtain 131 teachers' responses from 22 middle schools in Seoul. Most science teachers used analogies frequently in their instructions, and had positive attitudes toward the effect of analogies. They agreed that relevant figures should be presented with analogies, analogy itself should be explained to their students, and something to mislead the students' idea should be mentioned. They also responded that they practiced so in their instructions. However, it was revealed that they neither explained a concept with several analogies nor helped students to make self-generated analogies. Their idea was that proper analogy sources and instructional models were needed for using analogy effectively in science instruction. The teachers with above masters degree explained the analogy itself, and they perceived the needs for supplements and strategies in using analogy more affirmatively. The teachers possessing modern perceptions to science instructions and students' activities rather than classical ones used analogies more frequently and effectively.

Demand for the femtocell is largely credited to the surge in a more always best connected communication conscious public. 3GPP defines new architecture and security requirement for Release 9 to deal with femtocell, Home eNode B referred as HeNB. In this paper, we analyze the HeNB security with respect to mutual authentication, access control, and secure key agreement. Our analysis pointed out that a number of security vulnerabilities have still not been addressed and solved by 3GPP technical specification. These include eavesdropping, man-in-the-middle attack, compromising subscriber access list, and masquerading as valid HeNB. To the best of our knowledge, any related research studying HeNB security was not published before. Towards this end, this paper proposes an improved authentication and key agreement mechanism for HeNB which adopts proxy-signature and proxy-signed proxy-signature. Through our elaborate analysis, we conclude that the proposed not only prevents the various security threats but also accomplishes minimum distance from use-tolerable authentication delay.

In order to estimate the influence of wind stress in the southwestern coastal waters of the Japan Sea, the wind stress was estimated from the shipboard wind data of the Fisheries Research and Development Agency along the serial observation lines and Buoy No. 6 of the Japan Meteorological Agency. 5,100 wind data are used to construct a data set of monthly mean wind stress during 10 years from 1978 to 1987. The negative values of the mean zonal wind stress curl at Ulleung Basin in the study area seem to be responsible for the formation of the warm core. The volume transport of the East Korea Warm Current are estimated quantitatively by the variations of the Ekman transport associated with the reversing direction of the monsoon. And the distribution of the warm core is explained by the simple three layer model.

In this paper, an educational-purposed tree-type telecommunication network using the switching system, and the wired and radio transmission systems which are applied is implemented. Also, the proper training method for the network such as the digital full electronic switching training, the networking experiment, the optical transmission experiment, is developed to robust the adaptation ability to the actual various environment of telecommunication network of the trainers. The technical information such as the technical manuals, the user manuals and the maintenance skill reports are collected and database using Oracle DB system for the effective educational use.

Dynamic properties of materials by shock loads such as rock blasting and earthquake are recently attracted in the design of aboveground and underground structures. The advance of measuring devices enables to obtain the whole histories of stress and strain in rock specimen of which the failure is completed in several hundred microseconds. The SHPB has been a popular and promising technique to study the dynamic behavior of rock. And the dynamic compressive, tensile and other test with this experiment system are planned to be Suggested Methods of ISRM. This technical paper is to introduced one study article which focuses the design of 3S (special shaped striker) to produce the half-sine wave to eliminate the problems of the rectangular wave. This article is also describing the advantage of half-sine incident wave and size effect of rock dynamic strength.

The purpose of this study was to find out experiences of dental hygienists working on dental care sites, to prevent potential malpractice accidents and disputes, and to examine why it is necessary to provide corresponding education or training courses. As a result, this study came to the following conclusions: 1. It was found that 32.5% had ever experienced in malpractice suits or disputes, and 55.0% of such experienced group had ever experienced in malpractice suits or disputes concerned with dental hygienists. 2. According to inquiry on whether dental hygienists have certain liability for malpractice disputes, it was found that 66.3% respondents ascribed the medical liability to dental hygienists. And according to inquiry for those respondents on liability ratio, it was found that 57.1% of them thought 11%~30% as appropriate liability ratio. 3. According to survey on extent of doubts about potential malpractice accidents and disputes in future, it was found that 72.4% respondents sometimes had doubts about them. 4. It was found that 64.2% respondents thought it necessary and urgent to provide education related to prevention and countermeasures for malpractice disputes.
