This study was conducted through reviewing literature; research reference, journal, book, and Web materials. in this study, comparative target country was restricted to Japan, U. S. A., U. K., and N. Z., Australia that administer to similar subject with our industrial technology subject-matter. The major finding of this study were as follows: 1. A similar subject-matter with our industrial technology subject0matter was Japan' 'foundation of industrial technology' and 'project research', U. S. A.' 'technology' and etc, U. K.' 'design and technology', and N. Z.' 'technology', 'New South Wales in Australia' design and technology'. 2. The result of analysis to purpose and strength of subject-matter, our' industrial technology subject-matter was oriented to knowledge, understanding and career search in industrial area. but, the other was emphasized technological problem solving by process-based method with thinking and action. 3. In the curriculum content, our country was treat to content area of a broad industrial world. on the other hand, Japan; relationship between human and technology, environment, process technology and product technology, project research. U. S. A.; technology content standards by knowledge, process and context, U. K., N. Z., and Australia were focused 'design process'. Based on above results, the recommendation can be established as follows: 1. A study on the implementation of industrial technology curriculum. 2. • This study investigates the influence of project-based learning method on the self-directed learning and problem-solving abilities of students taking the 'Media Center Management' course in Library Information Science (LIS). During this study, two tests measuring students' self-directed learning and problem-solving abilities were conducted, containing 48 items divided into 8 categories and 30 items divided into 5 steps of problem-solving processes, respectively. By utilizing the correspondence sample T-test during this study, statistically significant results were found in all categories of self-directed learning, excluding the 'self-understanding' category. In addition, significant differences were found in the 5 steps problem-solving processes as well. Subsequently, an in-depth interview was conducted, inquiring into the students' perspectives on the difficulty of attending classes, the content of lectures, the appropriateness of assignments, the validity of the evaluation method, the relationship with their team members, and the benefits acquired from completing the assignments. Finally, suggestions for future research were presented.

  • Flip-learning enables an effective teaching and learning in accordance with the deepening degree of engineering education as a framework that enables learning according to the individual differences of the theoretical aspects, and solving real problems and practice of the learner-centered education through the application of this. The subject of basic fluid power practice which is used in various industries requiring factory automation aims at understanding of the composition and operating principles of pneumatic components and programming of electric sequential circuits, building the design ability of pneumatic system. This subject goes by 3 hour classes with theory and practice side by side. So it has not enough time to instruct students various contents related in this subject. In this study, the instructional design was performed according to the KOREATECH (Korea University of Technology and Education) flip-learning basic model for the effective teaching of 'Basic Fluid Power Practice' in basic engineering practice courses,. And the effectiveness of flip-learning is analyzed through the students survey after performing classes.

  • This study was conducted to compare the effects of student-generated questions (SGQ) and online quiz-based learning (OQL) applied to a physiology and a pharmacology course with 173 nursing students in total. The levels of learning motivation of all participants at 15th week decreased significantly compared with 8th week. There were no statistical difference on learning motivation, communication, and critical thinking between SGQ and OQL, and regardless of the order SGQ and OQL were applied. However, the level of learning satisfaction in students taking pharmacology course was significantly higher in OQL than SGQ (t=2.184, p=.003). We suggest that either SGQ or OQL or both SGQ and OQL be used throughout a semester in biological nursing science subjects without changing teaching strategy during a semester.

  • Recently, universities have been strengthening software basic education to be active in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Non-majored students need a variety of teaching methods because they have low knowledge of programming or a lack of connectivity with major courses. Therefore, in this paper, a learning model applying the step-by-step blind programming practice based on the Demonstration Modeling Making model was designed and applied to the actual lecture. As a result of analyzing the problem solving ability of the learner, it was confirmed that the learner's self - solving ratio increased as parking progressed. In the following study, it is necessary to analyze the learner's learning results in various aspects and to study effective teaching methods according to the difficulty of the learning contents.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the science curriculum of Korea and Estonia with a focus on the chemistry domain, and draw implications for reference when revising the next curriculum. To this end, the overall curriculum design centered on science subjects and the core concepts of chemistry covered in subjects corresponding to the common curriculum of the two countries were compared. As a result of the analysis, first, Estonia specifically suggested how the core competencies suggested in the general lecture were specifically connected to science subject. In addition, there was a characteristic that the inquiry function, attitude, and value were specifically presented in the curriculum document. Second, as a result of analyzing the core concepts of chemistry, most of the concepts dealt with in Korea were also dealt with in Estonia. However, Estonia has a tendency to deal more qualitatively with broader concepts. The concepts covered in the chemistry subject exceeded the level of the common curriculum in Korea, but this subject also had the characteristic of attempting a qualitative approach.

  • Recently, the importance of the internet of things (IoT) education has been emphasized due to the progress of research on IoT technology. Therefore, universities require an efficient IoT course. In this paper, we propose an undergraduate IoT course using the Bluetooth function of smartphone and Arduino kit. The proposed embedded IoT class uses the Bluetooth capabilities of the smartphone to connect Arduino and activate various sensors to encourage students to become interested in the class. According to students' midterm and final exam scores, students programming skills have been improved since students' projects were in progress during the course. Further, according to students' survey, the proposed IoT class is very effective in understanding the embedded IoT and 75% of the students satisfied with the proposed course.

  • The purpose of this study is to draw implications through a case study on the curriculum operation of a professor who operated a programming subject as a PBL(project-based learning) method in an untact situation due to COVID-19. A survey was conducted for first-year freshmen students to determine their learning condition before project implementation. Based on the results of the questionnaire, individual interviews were conducted to identify the needs for education, and then, basic grammar for project completion and lectures that segmenting each stage of the project were composed. Repeated learning was induced through weekly quizzes, and feedback was given by giving time in advance until the project deadline. 23 students (40 students in total) completed the project. The remaining 17 students took the exam but did not complete the project. The purpose of this study is significant in that it investigated whether a project can be carried out through instructional design, execution, and interaction while operating a programming subject through PBL in the COVID-19 environment.

  • This study investigated the English learners who are over 40 on their attitudes and perception for lifelong education by dividing them into age groups of middle aged and elderly learners. To this end, from May 20, 2020 to June 30, 2021, 80 participants attending lifelong education centers in North Gyeongsang province were surveyed on the demographic characteristics and interest, necessity, passion, advantage, hindrance, learning motivation, preferred subjects, and learning methods. As a result, it was found that elderly learners showed a more positive English learning attitude than middle-aged learners, and both groups considered the communication area important in their learning motivation and preferred subjects. In regard to hindrance toward English learning, different factors were shown according to the age groups along with lack of confidence in English. Differences were also shown in preferred learning methods. This study suggested the possibility of learning outcomes according to the positive learning attitude of elderly learners along with the need for detailed English program design according to learners' age.
