A Case of Sebaceous Adenoma in Medial Caruncle of the Eye (내안누구에 발생한 피지선종 1예)

  • 피지선종(sebaceous adenoma)은 피지선 분화를 보이는 신생물 중 가장 흔한 종양으로 피지선이 정상적으로 많이 분포하는 안면부, 두피부, 안검부 등에 주로 발생하나 안검에서는 비교적 드물게 발생한다. 피지선종은 피부부속기 종양 중 발생빈도가 아주 낮으며 안면부 중에도 피지선이 많이 분포하는 비부와 협부에 주로 발생하며 종괴 형성으로 인한 이물감이나 소양감, 출혈, 궤양형성등의 증상을 동반한다. Shields 등의 보고에 의하면 내안누구에 발생한 신생물 57예중에서 피지선종은 2예만이 존재할 정도로 극히 드물다고 하였다. Font와 Rishi도 피지선종의 안검 발생에 대하여 상안검과 하안검은 각각 같은 빈도로 발생한다고 하였으며 내안각 피지선종은 단 1예만을 보고하였다. 이에 저자들은 내안누구의 피지선에서 발생한 피지선종을 경험하고 문헌고찰과 함께 그 1예를 보고하고자 한다.

An Analysis on Competitive Advantage by Types of Vessel between Korea and China in the EU Market (한중 간 조선산업 선종별 경합도 분석)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze competition status of Korean and Chinese vessels in the EU market. To achieve this purpose, this study uses Market Share Index, Export Bias Index, Trade Specialization Index, Export Similarity Index, and Market Share Expansion Ratio-Export Similarity Deepening Ratio as analyzing method. The statistical data used in this study are obtained from the trade statistics for 5 years(2005-2009) produced by Korean International Trade Association. The results of this study show that Korean ships are less competitive than Chinese ones in the EU export market in that Korea does not export various kinds of ships but export some restricted kinds of vessels even in the competitive ship, implying that Korea has been gradually losing its competitiveness. These results suggest that Korea should improve the competitiveness of shipbuilding industry by pursuing such differentiated strategies as exporting high value-added vessels while keeping on maintaining Korea's dominance over its competitive ships to overcome China's competitive advantage in the EU region.

해상교통관제사의 효율적인 의사결정을 위한 모든 선종 교육의 필요성

  • 전국 항만에 VTS 시스템이 설치되고, 또한 최근 승선경험이 있는 항해사들이 해상교통관제사로 근무하면서 관제구역 내의 해양사고는 꾸준히 감소하는 추세이다. 그러나 관제사별로 승선경험을 살펴보면 1종 내지 3종 내외의 한정된 선종 승선경력을 보유하고 있으며, 이는 현장에서 다양한 선종에 대한 관제를 시행함에 있어 관제사별로 관제기법과 관제역량의 차이를 가져오는 원인중의 하나라고 생각된다. 또한 관제의사 결정과정에 있어서도 최적의 관제의사 도출을 어렵게 만드는 요인이 아닐까 한다. 여기에서는 관제사의 자질 및 역량강화를 위해 개인별로 한정된 승선경력을 보완할 수 있는 방법의 하나로서 모든 선종 교육의 필요성과 함께 교육의 방법 및 기대효과에 대하여서도 고찰해 보고자 한다.

  • Clear cell hidradenoma is a tumor that originates from a sweat gland and typically involves the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. Malignant clear cell hidradenoma is very rare, and surgical excision is usually performed without imaging. There are few reports of the ultrasonographic findings of malignant clear cell hidradenomas. Herein, we present the ultrasonographic characteristics of a malignant clear cell hidradenoma.

  • Hibernoma is a rare, benign soft tissue tumor that is derived from the remnants of fetal brown tissue. The term hibernoma was proposed in 1914 by Cery because of its morphologic similarity to the cel s of the so-called hibernating gland of animals. The most common site of hibernomas is the subcutaneous tissue of the back, especially the interscapular area. These tumors are considered benign and malignant transformation has not been reported. We experienced a case of hibernoma, 60-year-old woman had suffered from the palpable mass without pain or tenderness on posterolateral lower chest wall, left. The tumor was extirpated under the impression of angiolipoma, but was confirmed hibernoma. She was discharged without complication.

Ductal carcinoma in situ arising within a fibroadenoma of breast (유방의 섬유선종에서 발생한 관상피내암)

  • Fibroadenoma are one of the most common benign tumors of the breast in young women. Fibroadenoma may be associated with fibrocystic change, proliferative epithelial changes, and extremely rarely with carcinoma. We report here two cases of malignancy arising from a breast fibroadenoma. The patients were 19 and 51 years old and presented with a lump of recent onset. A 19-year-old female patient was diagnosed with mass excision at another hospital, and re-excision was performed at the hospital. Ultrasonography and cytologic examination revealed fibroadenoma and malignancy in a 51-year-old female patient, who was treated with wide excision. The pathological report of the two cases was revealed as DCIS in a fibroadenoma. Because carcinoma arising within a fibroadenoma is so rare, there are few reports of its characteristics or guidelines for treatment. Careful analysis of the unusual carcinoma arising within a fibroadenoma of the breast led to appropriate diagnosis and treatment of various types of lesions. Herein, we report two cases of DCIS arising within a fibroadenoma of the breast and provide a review of the literature.

  • The electronic inclinometer can measure and print various output data related to the ship's heel, rolling cycle, and amplitude. The electronic inclinometer that can support ship stability judgment is equipped with a platform that supports stability for recovery performance, so it is possible to provide data even for small ships that lack ship stability judgment information. GM is an important factor in determining stability, and each type of ship has different GM scope. The purpose of this paper is to analyze GM according to the type of target ship and to review for a stable GM proposal. In addition, it is expected that GM data for each ship type will be embedded in the electronic inclinometer for ship that meets international standards, and will be used as data for securing and reviewing GM for strengthening ship safety

  • Total scalp irradiation is a challenging treatment because of unique concave target volume and difficulty with bolus applying. There are few reports about bolus applying methods to the entire scalp in detail. Application of conventional bolus (wax or superflab) is widely used, and it is considered effective. However, the curvature and irregularity of the scalp can produce significant air gap, resulting in inadequate radiation dose distribution. We describe a new method to applying the bolus to the entire scalp. We sutured 1 cm thickness superflab bolus on the thermoplastic mask using cotton string. This method can reduce the air gap between the bolus and scalp and be reproducible.

Ship Type Prediction using Random Forest with Limited Ship Information (제한적 선박 정보와 무작위의 숲 분류기를 이용한 선종 예측)

  • The ship type identification of the surrounding ship is important information for navigators and VTS officers since they can estimate the maneuverability and near-future route of the ships. However, it is more than frequent that the information is not provided due to transmission trouble and seafarers' unfamiliarity with AIS. Thus, this study suggests predicting ship types through the Random Forest classifier after preparing a training and test dataset that contains ship features and types. The AIS data for Ulsan coast in 2018 was used for this study. The method may provide the effect that many navigators and VTS officers discuss and share the experience of predicting ship types.
