This paper analyzes the concept of Lacanian subject and the structural definition of sexual difference between man and woman, and criticizes some problems of those definitions. It seems to me, to do so, that it is important to know precisely the core terms of psychoanalysis quoted by Lacan. We should analyze the basic meanings and the relation of the Imaginary, Symbolic and the Real, of ideal ego and ego ideal, of phallus and signifier, of desire and the other, of consciousness and unconsciousness, of alienation and separation, etc. I'm going to discuss the relation between the Imaginary and the ideal ego in chapter 2, and then, deal with the relation between the Symbolic and the ego ideal in chapter 3. I'll explain both similarity and difference between the ideal ego and ego ideal through those discussions. In chapter 4, I'm planning to explain the relation among the other, desire and the subject of unconsciousness. In chapter 5, I'll analyze the meaning of phallus and signifier. I'll criticize the Lacanian structural definition of sexual difference on the basis of the work made in former chapters. These discussions will lead to my final conclusion that the concept of Lacanian subject and the structural definition of sexual difference are only dependent on reductionism regarding everything as symbolic, which has in itself a lot of contradiction. In order that All discussions about sexual difference have at least a objective meaning, they have to rely on anatomical differences between man and woman.

As a way of enhancing the intercultural ability needed for diverse cultural eras, this study focuses on the "narration" of the Italian education scholar Maddalena De Carlo in order to determine the "diverse values" created by the "symbolic representation" based on the folktales narrated by immigrants living in Korea. Through this, it specifically presents educational elements and contents that can raise relative sensitivity. The authors of this paper have connected, empathized, and communicated with people of various cultures in order to go beyond Carlo's discussion. The paper discusses the expansion of cultural sensitivity as an element of education through narrative topics using the folktales of immigrant narrators in Korea. It also recognizes the limitations of a desire for a homogeneous union within an intercultural society and thus formulates educational contents for creating a relationship with heterogeneous ideas through the elimination of communication barriers through heterogeneity and a consideration of the surface and the back. This is systemized in six steps. Step 1: Listening to oral folktales of immigrants, Step 2: Finding heterogeneous motifs imprinted in the immigrants' memories, Step 3: Understanding the meaning of the opposing qualities symbolized by heterogeneous motifs, Step 4: Creating narrative topics containing the key motifs, Step 5: Generating the value of symbolic representation as a narrative topic, and Step 6: Expanding the value of life into a cultural symbol. In Chapter 3, this study focuses on educational contents using immigrants' folktales by applying these six steps. The class contents include the recognition of the limitations of desire for a homogeneous union within an intercultural society and the consideration of how to create a relationship with heterogeneous ideas through the elimination of communication barriers through heterogeneity and consideration of the surface and the back. This paper then compares the Indonesian folktale, The Inverted Ship Mountain and the Mom's Mountain, with the world-famous Oedipus myth, to determine what the symbolic representation of these heterogeneous motifs is. In Step 6, when the symbolic system is culturally extended, the incestuous desire that appears in the "inverted ship" is interpreted as a fixation that was created when the character sought to unite with homogenous idea. The Cambodian folktale, The Girl and the Tiger, is a story that is reminiscent of the Korean folktale, The Old Man with a Lump. Through the motif in "Tiger," this paper generates a narrative topic that will enhance the students' intercultural abilities by culturally expanding their skills in how to relate with a heterogeneous being that is usually represented as an animal. The Vietnamese folktale, The Coconut Bowl, similar to the Korean folktale, GureongDeongDeong SinSeonBi, is a story that draws a variety of considerations about the surface and theback, and it shows readers how to build a relationship with a heterogeneous idea and how to develop and grow with such a relationship. Thus, if a narrative topic is generated and readers are able to empathize using an opposing feature formed by the core motif of the folktale, it becomes possible, through immigrant folklore, to construct a possibility of a new life through the formation of a relationship with an unfamiliar and heterogeneous culture.

This study is based on semiotic analysis with a focus on film 'Veteran'. The film is to the reproduced movie in the sign for social problems facing our society. The purpose of this study is to interpreted the implication is that referents and presents of the film to be directed by semiotic. The methodology is the study that the Saussure's semiology as a signifier and signified, and Peirce's semiotic as iconic, index, symbols in contemporary scholars. The Semiotics is analyzed on the basis myth and ideology of Barth. The film director thinks the 'veteran' was replaced by the implications of the role of the actor as a signifier that is the out referent of our society. Thus, the film was sublimated into more than the real as myth in our society desires. So, our society is to implement the right ideas as ideologies process. that is, rewarding the good and punishing the evil, and eventually implement justice society. The implications of this study is going to create a society that is not for specific groups tycoon, is for mutual dependence like the interpretation of the song of the film veteran.

Can law be combined with television entertainment programs? This paper explores the ways in which law systems and law culture are reflected in and reflect the television legal series. TV legal series, such as legal dramas and infotainment shows, provide platforms for the audiences, who otherwise have few opportunity in real life, to engage with legal systems in societies. Adopting loosely dramatized reality programs, these legal series not only entertain and inform audiences but also educate citizens. This paper combines analyses of theoretical debates on law and television with analysis of TV text. The result shows that , dramatized enactment based on true stories and criminal cases, may have an important ideological role in which fictionalized dramas mask the hard realities and authoritative legal systems. By doing so, TV legal shows play their roles not as mere symbolic representation but as powerful institutions that construct the image of law and reality.

This stuffy is to understand the symbolic meaning of Korean traditional animal Patterns, to analyze their figurative characteristics focusing on fabric relics of Chosun Dynasty, and to search their internal beauty as well as their external beauty. Animal patterns can be classified as Individual type, the type that only animal patterns are used, and Compound type, the type that animal patterns are used with other patterns. The Individual type was not found at all. Only the Compound type, compounded with two or three other patterns, were found. Among the other patterns used in the Compound type, botanical patterns and heaven-and-earth-shaped patterns were the majority while letters patterns were rarely used. Bird patterns take enormously large part of the animal patterns. In terms of the arrangement, animal patterns are classified as Dense type, Sparse type, and Picturesque type.'rho three types are almost equal in their quantity. Picturesque type is found comparatively a lot. Animal patterns are much more frequently used in female clothes than in male clothes. For female clothes, they are mostly used in some parts of the clothes with ornamental effect. But, for male clothes, they are mainly used all over the fabric by weaving animal patterns on it. Not just their external beauty, animal patterns have also internally beautiful characteristics, such as keeping away from wicked ghosts, hoping for good luck, emblematic features, having ideological meanings, and so on.

Over the last ten years, media convergence and multiple platform expansion have affected the ways that people watch conventional television. In the post-TV era, the growing use of the Internet and mobile multi-media devices, such as smart phones, as well as the availability of abundant television content, allows television consumption to be more personalized, diversified, and linked with various media activities, especially social media uses. This study attempts to examine how television viewing experiences have been transformed with the development of the trans-media uses. Based on Walter J. Ong's concept of relation-ism, which posits that new media transform the meanings and relevance of old media rather than making old media obsolete, this study will pay particular attention to how the cultural meanings of television viewing have been redefined in the post-TV era. For the examination, this study has looked at concrete cases of the television viewing experiences of 29 young people in their twenties. Based on in-depth interview data, this study discusses the newly emerging characteristics of television viewing, its temporal and spatial experiences, and the significance of television as a medium and as a social place.

Light is an essential element which make it possible for men to see things, and its important for painter cannot be too much emphasized. light has significant meanings in the history of painting as well as in human life. light playa an essential role in creating three- dimentional objects. Light has not only spiritural, psychological , and formative meanings but also in. itself in the field of drawing. In general, a study of light and colors should be understood not merely as visible effects but as something unconscious involving psychological experiences and spiritual symbols, thus, as a very subjective phenomena. The article analyzes new meanings and roles of light in modern area, examining ways in which studies of light has been performed. It also deals with the meaning and effects of light revealed in the history of oriental and western paintings, and their influence on modern illustrations through case studies in order to provide an opportunity to have a new understanding of light.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate about the various metamorphosis methodology, which is one of the specific skill being used widely in contemporary metal-craft. Even though this methodology is being investigated actively in the other genre, it is not easy to find the example and various experimentation for further expression than in metal craft. The metamorphosis had been dealed little by little before the metal-craft is being modernized. Recentely, the experimentation is more deeply and widely held; because the deconstruction methodology, which is the skill to express the differance in the meaning: material's archetype and dealing with the symbol and metaphorical meanings concealed, is being developed. The special skills of the metamorphosis are Mokumegane, reticulation, Fusing, and electro form Mixed Media metamorphosis; these investigation is being further developed with metal alloy methodology.

This study analyzes expression methodology and aesthetic meanings in modern hair ornaments that adopt maximalism. Maximalism has appeared in various hair ornaments throughout history. Hair dresses are used for many reasons related to class, social position, religious beliefs, and occupation throughout the Eastern and Western hemispheres. A higher class and social position was often denoted by a fancier and bigger hairdress. In modern society maximalism is expressed in literature, expressionism, maxi-marketing, exaggerative advertisements, and symbolic architecture. Formative expression methodologies in modern hair ornaments that adopt maximalism are transform, overlapping & exaggeration, and mixing & edition. The aesthetic meanings of maximalism in hair ornaments are the reinterpretation of retro ornaments, the exaggeration of internal self-expression, humorous symbolic objects, and the conveyance of a social critical message. The advantages of maximalism help people communicate and co-provide an abundant life. These are expected to create significant and numerous positive impacts in society. In addition, the continued efforts on the investment in hair ornaments that express Maximalism well as a fashion trend shows that further study on the persistence, practicality and recognized design inconvenience in the aesthetic value are needed.

The film is an audiovisual art and conveys stories using various audiovisual techniques. Among the auditory elements, music has a wide variety of expressive techniques, a wide range of applications, and is sometimes used as a proprietary tool to convey stories. This study examines the musical expression technique for expressing the psychology of the character in the film by using the movie "Punch Drunk Love" as a subject of study. We study the use of music used to reveal meaning that does not appear on the screen in the film story flow, which is a tool to create the hidden meaning of the person's inner psychology and situation. This provides an example and perspective of the contrast and symbolic expression of character psychology in film music.
