  • This study analyzes the effects of the work-life balance of physical therapists on their job enthusiasm. Totally, 109 physical therapists at U city were enrolled in this study. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were the preferred methods of analysis, performed using the SPSS 22.0 program. Multiple regression analysis was performed to evaluate the causal relationship between variables. Our results confirmed that work-family conflict and family-work conflict, which are sub-factors of a work-life balance, did not significantly affect job enthusiasm. Moreover, both the work-family promotion and home-work promotion factors of work-life balance had a positively significant effect on job enthusiasm. This indicates that the work-life balance-conflict factor does not influence the job enthusiasm of a physical therapist. Moreover, a higher work-life balance-promotion of work-family promotion and home-work promotion factor, inculcates a higher job enthusiasm. We believe that results of this study will serve as basic data to formulate plans for physical therapists to maintain an appropriate work-life balance, thereby enhancing their job enthusiasm.

  • The purposes of this study were to develop work-life balance supportive organizational culture scale(WLB supportive organizational culture) and to verify it's validity. We reviewed comprehensive studies about work-life balance and organizational culture as well as scales related to them. We theoretically extracted some important factors of WLB organizational culture from reviews and then made 38 preliminary questions. 773 married workers in their 30s to 50s were responded to a questionnaire consisted of 38 preliminary questions and 9 variables(work-life balance, quality of life, job satisfaction, turnover etc) for criterion related validity verification. As the results of factor analysis such as EFA and CFA, we could confirm five factors including WLB organizational management, WLB supportive supervisors, empathetic communication with coworkers, coworkers' material support to WLB and accessibility to WLB programs. Second, correlation analyses were performed to investigate the validation of this scale. In result, it was revealed that the WLB supportive organizational culture scale was highly correlated with other family supportive organizational culture measures as well as dependent variables such as work-life balance, quality of life, job satisfaction, turnover. We expect this study contribute to improve the quality of studies about work-life balance and organizational culture.

  • This study aims to analyze the effects of work-life balance on organizational commitment and turnover intention, and the effects of organizational commitment on turnover intention, focusing on Generation MZ librarians in public libraries. A survey of 183 librarians born between 1980 and 2005, who work at public libraries in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, examined the subfactors of work-life balance such as work-family balance, work-leisure balance, work-growth balance, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Multiple regression analysis revealed that work-family and work-growth balances had a significant positive effect on organizational commitment and a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Moreover, organizational commitment had a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Accordingly, this study suggests the need to implement a reward policy for night and weekend work and to strengthen work-family balance and work-growth balance at public libraries. Moreover, it suggests horizontal communication and strengthening autonomy to promote organizational commitment.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to examine the validity and reliability of the Korean version of Life Balance Inventory (K-LBI) and to present the relationship between life balance and sensory processing. Methods : K-LBI was constructed through forward and backward translation. Convergent validity, internal consistency, and test-retest reliability were tested for college students. To verify convergent validity, correlation analyses between K-LBI and Korean version of Perceived Stress Scale, Korean version of Satisfaction With Life Scale, and Adult Self Report-Achenbach system of empirically based assessment were performed. Split-half reliability and test-retest reliability were also obtained for reliability verification. We performed the correlation analysis between K-LBI and Korean version of Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile. Results : A significant correlation was found between K-LBI and the scales for convergent validity. A favorable split-half reliability and test-retest reliability were calculated. The positive correlations were found between relationship life balance and sensory sensitivity/sensation avoiding quadrants. The negative correlation was found between challenges life balance and low registration. Conclusion : This study shows that K-LBI is a valid and reliable tool in Korea. It also provides an in-depth understanding of the relationship between life balance and sensory processing.

Participants included 155 nurses from four hospitals located in D city. Data was collected from July 29 to August 19, 2022 using a self-report questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Baron and Kenny's three-step hierarchical regression using the SPSS 22.0 program. In this study, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between the nurse's grit, job embeddedness, and work-life balance, and it was confirmed that work-life balance partially mediated the relationship between grit and job embeddedness.
