Websites support various user activities in a wide range of contents domain and so they require different approach to extract principal design problems. In the point of media perspective on websites, this paper figures out the relationship between designer, user and website and discusses design factors of usability. It aims for the basic framework for interface design. In the media perspective website is an information entity mediating user and designer. Information entity is composed of various design factors relating to user, designer, website and others. It intends that user and information entity are accommodative to each other and have common conceptual model. To do so it is necessary for achieving usability objectives such as effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction based on the understanding user goal, cognitive and affective characteristics. In the point of usability we examine design factors and features that are appropriate for users cognitive and affective function according to information entity model that constitutes contents, organization and representation level.

A 51-year-old male with chronic renal failure had marked swelling and tenderness of the right arm. Venography revealed central vein occlusion involving stenosis of right proximal subclavian vein, right internal jugular vein, and left distal innominate vein, and obstruction of right brachiocephalic vein. Multiple obstruction of these veins was thought to have resulted from repeated subclavian catheterization. Right subclavian-superior vena cava was bypassed with 10 mm Gore-tex vascular graft and then left subclavian vein with 8 mm Gore-tex vascular graft was bypassed to the 10 mm Gore-tex vascular graft. The results were excellent.

The mobile phone is the most private device for mobile communication. The goal of this paper is to present function relation model of the individualization and to analyze the task in the model by function pattern and function relation model in mobile phone. Function, activity, activity flow, intent of the activity, function group and influence between function and function group are used to present the function relation model which illustrates the relationship of the function in product. And this model drew up the function relation model for mobile phone. The function relation model for mobile phone based on the function pattern by the newest 3 phone's over 320 functions and 21 function groups. Last, to rearrange the function relation model to center on the individualization, the internal/ external memory to save and use the information for individualization function is placed to middle of the model. The main tasks of the model are storing, inquiry and interlock. The important methods to reinforce the individualization function are to develop the tasks which are the relations between the functions.

The purpose of this study is to look through consumer perception and image positioning, present the thoughts over the competitive strength and make better the efficiency of long-term communication strategy. It is analyzed that consumers realized differentiated value choice on seasonal destination for honeymoon. MDS is applied to provide the marketers with the framework to develop marketing strategy for destination positioned in the mind of consumer and make products efficient to create and keep the desirable position. The data was collected from the honeymooner who have planned to travel or have experienced traveled 7 different types of honeymoon destinations(Guam/Saipan, Australia/New Zealand, China, Japan, Hawaii, Thailand and Europe). It is hoped that these results will be useful for tourism and organizer to develop marketing strategy for products.

In this study, a 3-axis camera system design is proposed for application to an existing 2-axis surveillance robot. A camera-image-based target-tracking algorithm for this robot has also been proposed. The algorithm has been validated using a virtual simulation. In the algorithm, the heading direction vector of the camera system in the mobile surveillance robot is obtained by the position error between the center of the view finder and the center of the object in the camera image. By using the heading direction vector of the camera system, the desired pan and tilt angles for target-tracking and the desired roll angle for the stabilization of the camera image are obtained through inverse kinematics. The algorithm has been validated using a virtual simulation model based on MATLAB and ADAMS by checking the corresponding movement of the robot to the target motion and the virtual image error of the view finder.

This study aimed to investigate the life and works of Robert Hooke, an ingenious scientist in the era of scientific revolution, and to give some implications of invention education for science education. The publications and critics of Robert Hooke were analyzed to find out the personal setbacks how he showed excellent performances across the fields of science. The research finding showed that he tried to make geometric and visualized reasoning based on the empirical phenomenon, had much interest in the devices and methods for measurement and observation in the experiment, and made technical devices by himself. The ingenuity of Robert Hooke could be revealed by the rich resources in his childhood, his talent of drawing for depiction, and his colleagues and teachers with favors of diverse fields of disciplines and empirical tradition. As well, it was likely that his monistic viewpoint between the reality and scientific theories, led himself to develop interesting instruments for scientific experiments. Thus, this study suggested some implications to combine invention education with science education.

Since the use of the Internet has proliferated, the availability of illegal and harmful content has been a great concern to both governments and Internet users. Among various solutions for issues related to such content, Internet content filtering technologies have been developed for enabling users to deal with harmful content. In recent years, commercial filtering has become massively popular. Many parents, teachers and even governments have chosen commercial filtering software as a feasible technical solution for protecting minors from harmful information on the Internet. The Internet content filtering software market has grown significantly. However, Internet content filtering software has led to intense debate among civil liberties groups, They deem this to be censorship and argue that Internet filtering technologies are simply unworkable because they have inherent weaknesses. They are critical of the fact that most filtering has violated free speech rights and will eventually wipe out honor and controversial, yet innocent incidences of free speech on the Internet. In this article Internet content filtering, in particular PICS/RDF-based label filtering, so-called Internet content rating system, will be explored and its advantages and drawbacks relating to end-users' autonomy and freedom of expression will be discussed.

This study is on Hollywood's latest romantic comedy movie , attempted to identify whether nationality or gender difference of the movie audience is affecting on their acceptance to the genre characteristics of Hollywood's romantic comedy. Most of Hollywood's romantic comedy movies are centered on attraction of female and male actors and its' formulated plot (boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-gets-girl structure). Although the movie is following the formulated romantic comedy plot, it shows a variation from the typical romantic comedy genre. In this thesis, based on audience research data, statistics and interrelationship analysis on audience value orientation, we elucidate how Korean and American, Female and Male movie audience have different preference to actors and characters in the movie and representation of archetypal Hollywood romantic comedy happy ending such as propose and wedding scenes.

This paper researches the algorithm, whose materiality and expressiveness can be obtained through live coding. Live coding is an improvised genre of music that generates sounds while writing code in real time and projecting it onto a screen. Previous studies of live coding have focused on the development environment to support live coding performance effectively. However, this study examines the aesthetic attitude immanent in the realization of the algorithm through analyzing mostly used languages such as ChucK, Impromtu, and the visualization of live code and cases of "aa-cell" and "slub" performance. The aesthetic attitudes of live coding performance can be divided into algebraic and geometric attitudes. Algebraic attitudes underline the temporal development of concepts; geometric attitudes highlight the materialization of the spatial structure of concepts through image schemas. Such a difference echoes the tension between conception and materiality, which appears in both conceptual and concrete poetry. The linguistic question of whether conception or materiality is more greatly emphasized defines the expressiveness of the algorithm.

This study examined perceptions of 109 professors at doctorate-granting universities in the U.S. who have self-archived in Institutional Repositories(IRs), predicated on the Diffusion of Innovations Theory. The majority of the faculty learned about IRs through the contact from IR staff or their presentations. Relating to five characteristics of an innovation, digital preservation and usage statistics of an IR were considered to be its relative advantage. The principle of Open Access(OA) was found to have compatibility with the values that professors ultimately pursued. The trialability of an IR was determined by the fact that IRs were adopted by faculty through the participation of pilot projects. Professors who gained positive and visible results from IR adoption seemed more strongly support the repository. In addition, it is necessary for IRs to provide stable and effective services that support the continued adoption of IRs.
