The self-checklist has a total of 66 questions and is composed of 7 domains; Child development, Health and Safety, Family relation, Physical and material environment, Play, Guidance in life, and Community engagement. The results from the survey are as follows. The domains of Development of children as well as Health & Safety are reported as the highest value at 4.1 point; on the contrary, those of Guidance in life and Community engagement are reported as the lowest value at 3.8 point. In terms of age, it was reported that the capacity of parents under 35 years-old was better than that of parents over 35 years of age. As for family income, it was revealed that the order of parents' capacity generally depends on the family income.

This study was designed to classify the parents' and their children's perception of contact frequency and to examine differences between career development competency and academic outcomes according to perceptional differences. Data of elementary school to high school students from the School Career Education Survey (2018) were used, and latent profile analysis (LPA) was utilized to explore the parents' and their children's perception of contact frequency. The perception of parents' and their children's contact frequency was classified into six groups in elementary and middle school and seven groups in high school. Career development competency (self-understanding and social competence, job understanding, career exploration, and career design and reparation) and academic outcomes (autonomous learning, motivation, and self-directed learning) of classified groups related to contact frequency significantly differed. In general, groups who reported a higher perception of contact frequency by children than parents showed higher vocational identity and better academic outcomes. This result implies that perceived contact frequency between parents and children can differ by school level, and its differences can be related to career development competency and academic outcomes of adolescents.

The purpose of this study was to identify the latent profiles according to the core competencies of middle school students and to examine whether the parent-child relationship predicts the latent profiles based on the core competencies for students defined by the Korean Ministry of Education. To achieve the purpose of the study, a total of 6,065 second-year middle school students were analyzed from the fourth year of the Korean Educational Longitudinal Study (KELS 2013), which was conducted by the Korean Educational Development Institute in 2016. The results of latent profile analysis and multinomial logistic regression are as follows. First, three latent profiles (higher competency group (19.54%), middle competency group (49.03%), and lower competency group (31.43%)) were derived according to the core competencies. For all groups, the highest competency was communication ability, and the lowest was creative ability. Second, the variables of the parent-child relationship (i.e., parental academic support, emotional support, and attachment level) were significant in predicting differences among the core competency latent profiles. In particular, the emotional support of parents was found to have the greatest influence on the core competencies of middle school students. This study identified the influence of the parent-child relationship on the development of core competencies. Further, it showed that a good family relationship is important for the holistic development of adolescents.

The subjects of the study were 146 parents with developmental disabilities, and data analysis using the SPSS 22.0 program was conducted. The mediating effect was Baron and Kenny Hierarchical regression analysis and sobel-test were conducted. As a result of the study, the positive effect of parents' parenting efficacy on the level of self-reliance and strengthening family competency of children with developmental disabilities was verified. In addition, the positive mediating effect of strengthening family competency was verified between the parenting efficacy of parents and the level of independence of children with developmental disabilities. As a result of the study, it is important to support parents' parenting and family capacity enhancement to support the independence of children with developmental disabilities.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and verify the effect of multicultural adolescents parental support and parenting attitudes on school life and social competency by using the primary data of the second period of the MAPS(Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study). The subject of this study in 2019 was 2,246 multicultural adolescents who were in the fourth grade of elementary school at the time. As a result of the study, it was found that the more positive and positive parental support and parenting attitude were, the higher the degree of school life and social competence of multicultural adolescents. On the other hand, the degree of school life and social competence varies according to gender, and it was found that female students were higher than male students. There was a significant difference in the degree of school life according to the mother's educational background, but there was no significant difference in the degree of social competence. These results suggest that parental support and parenting attitudes are major environmental variables in the educational ecosystem that affect the school life and social competence of multicultural adolescents.
