The Rationalization of Contract Sum Adjustment through Case Study of Price Fluctuation Adjustment based on Index Adjustment Method (물가변동조정 사례분석을 통한 지수조정방법기반 계약금액조정 합리화방안)

  • In case of long time progressive construction work, we need contract sum adjustment due to escalation for a period of works and the process of applying, consistent and obvious criterion is required. In this study, it were attempted to figure out problem and study this rational improvement by giving examples based on core activities of escalation adjustment. Based on literature study and legal system analysis, we classified processes of contract sum adjustment for escalation and defined 20 core activities for each process. From this measured variable, we carried out case study by giving 37 examples of escalation. As a result of case study, problems of each process was found and we suggested rational improvement. As this study, providers will be able to waste budget and the other will be given smooth escalation adjustment.

  • Regional comparative analysis for the variability of young man's employment indexes is important to unemployment or employment policy data of central and local government. Through the result of comparative analysis, central and local government can use differentiated policies for the regions and keep the efficiency for the application of detailed policy. In this study, based on economically active population survey data which consider economically active population rate, employment population rate and unemployment rate as typical employment indexes of young man, we analyzed the variability of these indexes by metropolitan cities and province regions using coefficient of variation. Also we proposed the largest index in variability of three employment indexes, and proposed the city and province region with the largest variability for each employment index.

Prediction of River-bed Change Using River Channel Characteristics and A Numerical Model (하도특성량과 수치모형에 의한 하상변동 예측)

  • In natural river, river-bed change is greatly influenced by the various factors such as river improvement, change of watershed land use, construction of dam and reservoir, gravel mining, and so on. The knowledge about river-bed change in the river is essential in the river modification, wetlands plan, and maintaining stable alluvial rivers. In this study, river-bed change in the future was predicted by investigating river channel characteristics which play dominant role in the formation of channel and based on the numerical model through river survey and the grain size analysis. The Proposed investigation and model was applied to the Geum river and the Miho stream which have been experienced river degradation due to river aggregate dredging and now seams to be stable. The result of potential river-bed change which was estimated by investigating channel characteristic including slope of channel, friction velocity, and so on is similar to that which was estimated based on the numerical model. It was found that the Geum river and the Miho stream will be stable. In the future, if considering the characteristics of river channel which is estimated by the river-bed scour, sediment, and so on, it is possible that river improvement and wetland restoration plan are established stably and naturally.

Analysis of Korea's Crustal Movement Velocity After the Great Tohoku-Oki Earthquake by Using GPS (GPS를 이용한 토호쿠 대지진 이후 한반도 지각변동 속도 분석)

  • The great Tohoku-oki earthquake which occurred on March 11, 2011, caused crustal movements in both Korea and Japan. This study attempts to analyze velocity changes of crustal movement of Korea Peninsula due to the Tohoku-oki earthquake and to compare the calculation with precious crustal movenents of Korea Peninsula. We found that the crustal movement velocity of South Korea increased 3.9 mm/yr northward and 7.5 mm/yr eastward on average as a result of the Tohoku-oki earthquake; when this figure is compared with the past crustal movement velocities of the Korea Peninsula.

  • 자본시장에서 자산가격결정이론의 대부분은 투자자산의 기대수익률과 변동성이 시간의 흐름에 따라 일정한 것으로 가정하여 왔다. 그러나 최근의 연구 성과에 의하면 주식수익률의 변동성이 동분산이라기 보다는 이분산일 가능성이 높다는 것이다. 1982년 Engle에 의하여 개발된 자기회귀 조건부 이분산모형(ARCH)이 제시된 이래 ARCH형태의 모형개발이 계속 이루어져 왔다. 본 논문은 ARCH형태의 이분산모형 가운데서 EGARCH모형을 이용하여 위험프레미엄과 조건부 이분산과의 관계와 더불어 기대하지 않은 수익률변화와 변동성과의 관계를 규명하고자 노력하였다. 1980년에서 1994년까지의 주가자료를 전체기간과 세부기간(4기간)으로 분류하여 기술 통계량 분석을 행하고, 종합주가지수초과수익률, 동일 가치 가중지수초과수익률, 대형주 주가지수초과수익률, 소형주 주가지수초과수익률에 대하여 EGARCH모형 을 적용하여 실증분석 하였다. 그 결과 위험프레미엄과 조건부 이분산은 시간이 지남에 따라 일정한 관계를 보여주지 못하고 있어 투자자의 위험회피도(危險回避度)가 변화함을 보여주었다. 기대하지 않은 수익률변화와 변동성 관계에서는 기대하지 않은 음(陰)(-)의 주식수익률이 기대하지 않은 양(陽)(+)의 주식수익률보다 상대적으로 더 큰 변동성을 가져오는 것으로 보여 우리나라 주식시장에서 주식수익률의 변동성 정보의 비대칭 반응효과가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Power line for digital home appliances has own property that transmitting power connected to loads. Especially, power line communication(PLC) for the home network which has characteristics of load fluctuation makes variable noise characteristics. It becomes serious problems to maintain efficient communication performance. Thus, in this paper, we present an optimal modulation and demodulation method through mathematical analysis of each measured load fluctuation based on PLC for home appliances. To analyze and compare various modem methods presented in this paper, we analyzed them normally via computer simulation under various noise channel environments according to various load fluctuations. In addition, we certified its availability through hardware implementation.

Functional Forecasting of Seasonality (계절변동의 함수적 예측)

  • It is important to improve the forecasting accuracy of one-year-ahead seasonal factors in order to produce seasonally adjusted series of the following year. In this paper, seasonal factors of 8 monthly Korean economic time series are examined and forecast based on the functional principal component regression. One-year-ahead forecasts of seasonal factors from the functional principal component regression are compared with other forecasting methods based on mean absolute error (MAE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). Forecasting seasonal factors via the functional principal component regression performs better than other comparable methods.

  • 하천의 지형을 조사하고 계측하는 것은 하천을 연구하는 전문가들에게 필수적인 일이다. 하지만 하천의 지형을 계측하는 것은 쉽지 않으며, 조사를 하여도 유사의 이송으로 인하여 하천의 지형은 시간이 지남에 따라 변하게 된다. 그러므로 실험이나 모델링을 통하여 하천의 지형을 예측하고 모의하는 것은 중요한 연구이다. 모델링을 이용하여 유사이송에 의한 하상변동을 잘 예측하기 위해서는 하천의 복잡한 흐름을 정확히 모의하는 것이 중요하며 유사를 발생시키는 힘인 하상전단응력을 정확히 산정하는 것 또한 중요하다. 하상의 전단응력을 산정하는 방법으로는 대표적으로 로그법칙에 의한 방법, 레이놀즈응력 분포를 이용한 방법, 난류운동에너지를 이용한 방법 등이 있다. 앞서 말한 방법으로 산정된 전단응력 값은 차이를 보이며, 이는 하상변동을 정확히 모의하는 것에 문제를 발생시킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 곡선좌표계를 이용하여 3차원 유동 및 하상변동을 모의할 수 있는 수치모형을 이용하여 전단응력 산정 방법에 따른 하상변동량을 분석하는 것이다. 하천의 복잡한 흐름을 정확히 모의하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes) 방정식을 3차원으로 해석하여 흐름 계산을 하였고 유사량 산정공식과 Exner 방정식을 이용하여 유사이송에 의한 하상변동을 계산하였다. 흐름 계산의 검증을 위하여 선행 연구의 실험을 대상으로 모의하였다. 그리고 곡선으로 된 실험 수로를 대상으로 전단응력 산

  • In recent decades, extreme events have been significantly increased over the Korean Peninsula due to climate variability and climate change. The potential changes in hydrologic cycle associated with the extreme events increase uncertainty in water resources planning and designing. For these reasons, a reliable changing point analysis is generally required to better understand regime changes in hydrologic time series at watershed scale. In this study, a hierarchical changing point analysis approach that can apply in a watershed scale is developed by combining the existing changing point analysis method and hierarchical Bayesian method. The proposed model was applied to the selected stations that have annual rainfall data longer than 40 years. The results showed that the proposed model can quantitatively detect the shift in precipitation in the middle of 1990s and identify the increase in annual precipitation compared to the several decades prior to the 1990s. Finally, we explored the changes in precipitation and sea level pressure in the context of large-scale climate anomalies using reanalysis data, for a given change point. It was concluded that the identified large-scale patterns were substantially different from each other.

A Study on Information Availability and Asymmetric Volatility in the Korea Stock Market (정보량과 비대칭적 변동성에 관한 연구)

  • The primary objective of this paper investigates whether asymmetric volatility phenomenon is caused by differences of opinion among investors and analyses information availability has an effect on asymmetric volatility. The empirical test period covers recent 6 years from January 4, 2000 to December 29, 2005. Five portfolios have been formed according to information availability(volume and market value). For the purpose of this study, We use TGARCH model, TGARCH-M model and adjusted model which include trading volume as a proxy differences of opinion among investors. The results are summarized as follows ; First, adjusted model analysis shows that asymmetric volatility phenomenon is disappeared or asymmetric coefficient and ratio is decreased than basis model. Second, portfolio analysis shows that the higher volume and market value, the more prominent asymmetric volatility phenomenon. And adjusted model analysis shows the higher volume and market value, the more decrease asymmetric ratio. Over all, assertion that differences of opinion among investors has caused asymmetric volatility phenomenon is regarded as reasonable. And, We see that information availability have great effect on asymmetric volatility phenomenon. We think that theses results can also occur opinion adjustment of optimistic investors. Namely, asymmetric volatility phenomenon can occur difference of information authenticity.
