In order to examine cause-specific mortality in Korea by comparing mortality of Japan, various mortality indicators are calculated using 1995 of ficial statistics of twonations. The mortality measures are cause-specific mortality rate by sex, age, andmarital status, cause-specific age-standardized death rate and potential years of lifelost, and their ratios by sex and nation. Items of major causes of death include allcauses (total deaths),tuberculosis, malignant neoplasm, diabetes mellitushypertensive diseases, heart diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, liver diseasestransport accidents, and suicide. Major characteristics of mortality in Korea are asfollows . (1) Death rates from most causes except suicide are higher in Korea thanJapan and especially death rates from tuberculosis, hypertensive diseases, liverdiseases, and transport accidents are higher for economically active Koreans : (2)Death rates from tuberculosis, liver diseases, transport accidents, and malignantneoplasm are salient for Korean children (3) Sex-differentials in mortality fromliver diseases, tuberculosis , and transport accidents are large for economically activeKoreans, because male mortality is higher than female mortality : (4) Suicide ratesare lower for economically active males, and higher for females aged 10s and 20s inKorea than Japan : (5) Death rates are highest f3r divorced or widowed under 45years of age depending on causes, but death rates from all causes are highest fornever-married of the age 45 and over in Korea : and (6) Sex-differentials inmortality are greatest for widowed in Korea and for divorced in Japan.
This study attempted to identify factors work environment that affect job satisfaction in dental hygienists. This study was conducted between August 29 and September 28, 2017, as part of an in-depth study of the 'Survey on the Working Environment of Clinical Dental Hygienists' of the Korean Dental Hygienists Association. To get the responses, the questionnaire was posted on the website of the Korean Dental Hygienists Association, and of the respondents, 4,663 were selected and analyzed. An independent t-test and one way ANOVA analysis were used to make a comparison of job satisfaction according to the general characteristics, salary, and tasks. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify factors affecting job satisfaction. The significance level was 0.05. In regard to salary information, the job satisfaction was found to be high (p<0.001) in cases where the salary was considered appropriate, when incentives were provided, when rewards or vacation expenses were supported, and when overtime and nightly work allowances were paid. In regard to job information, the job satisfaction was found to be high (p<0.001) when the volume of work was considered appropriate, when there were sufficient numbers in the workforce, and when the division of labor among the other personnel was clear. As a factor affecting job satisfaction of dental hygienists, the case of thinking that 'workload is appropriate' was found to be 2.052 times, showing the highest score. Job satisfaction in dental hygienists affects the turnover and has a significant effect on the performance of the organization. Therefore, it is believed, that it is urgent to improve the working environment such as salary and clear division of duties affecting job satisfaction of dental hygienists.

This study is a phenomenological study attempted to examine adaptation of North Korean defectors to life in the South Korean society in a comprehensive and in-depth way. Data were collected from July 2016 to June 2017 by conducting interviews with 10 North Korean defectors about their experience in adaptation to life in the South Korean society. The collected data were analyzed by the Colaizzi method. The original data obtained from the participants were structured into 19 themes, 6 theme clusters and 4 category. The 4 category included 'to face the different world', 'lives as a stranger', 'to adapt something', 'to reach self-realization'. The 6 theme clusters included 'encounter with new world', 'psychological pain', 'obstacles of the reality', 'drifting in the South Korean society', 'becoming a member of South Korea' and 'an independent life'. Based on the results of this study, it would be necessary to conduct a repetitive study on the process of adaptation of North Korean defectors to life in the South Korean society, to develop an intervention program to help them adapt to the South Korean society, and to verify the effects of the developed program.
The purpose of this study was to investigate job satisfaction of dental hygienist. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 224 dental hygienist. The 224 data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANONA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) Ver.19.0. The average score of the communication skill was $3.32{\pm}0.49$, interpersonal relationship ability was $3.45{\pm}0.48$, job satisfaction was $3.19{\pm}0.44$. The average score of the communication skill according to the general characteristics was the married was higher than the singles, the higher the career. The average score of the interpersonal relationship ability according to the general characteristics was the higher he education, the higher the income and the business management. The average score of the job satisfaction according to the general characteristics was the higher the business management. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the effects of communication skill and interpersonal relationship ability on job satisfaction, which had the lower career(t=-2.846, p=0.005), high communication skill (t=2.099, p=0.037), high interpersonal relationship ability(t=4.142, p=0.000). In order to improve the job satisfaction of the dental hygienist, provide proper compensation and the effort to improve the communication skill and interpersonal relationship ability.

This study aimed to assess the level of awareness on safe abortion among adolescent girls in rural area of Mahottari district of Nepal. A community based cross-sectional study was conducted in rural areas of Mahottari district of Southern Nepal between January and March 2019.A sample of 412 adolescent girls was selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. Multivariable logistic regression model was adapted to explore level of awareness among adolescent girls. This study found that 45.6% of adolescent girls had high awareness regarding safe abortion. The odds of awareness among the married adolescents was higher (AOR=2.16; 95% CI: 1.01-4.87) than unmarried adolescent whereas the odds of awareness among the adolescents who had education of secondary level and more had higher (AOR=2.21; 95%CI: 1.13-3.04) than those who had primary or lower secondary level of education. Similarly, the adolescents who had monthly family income of Nepalese Rupees (NRs.), 10,000-20,000 and more than NRs. 20,000 were respectively, 2.33 times (AOR = 2.33; 95% CI: 1.07-3.55) and 3.17 times (AOR = 3.17; 95% CI: 2.19-8.94) more likelihood to have high awareness regarding safe abortion than those their counterparts. The study showed that overall level of knowledge towards safe abortion was found low. Socio-demographic factors like marital status, level of education, and family income were the factors independently associated with level of awareness on safe abortion. Therefore, efforts should be exerted towards arising and improving the awareness of abortion care which may reduce unwanted pregnancy, abortion and other complications related to abortion.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of University hospital nurses' self-efficacy and job performance on job satisfaction. The subjects of this study were 130 nurses working at a university hospital in C city and collected data using structured questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis using spss 25.0. The results showed that the self-efficacy was 3.24 points for the average score, 2.74 points for the job performance, and 3.10 points for the job satisfaction. Self-efficacy, job performance, and job satisfaction were statistically correlated. The factors affecting job satisfaction were self-efficacy (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001), age at 30~34 years (${\beta}=-.27$, p=.001), Operating Room(${\beta}=-.17$, p=.029), Medical ward (${\beta}=-.17$, p=.025) and unmarried (${\beta}=-.20$, p=.012) and the explanatory power of the model was 30.4%. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a program to improve the job satisfaction considering the self-efficacy, age, working department of hospital nurse.

The purpose of this study was to examine job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention of the nurses who work at the comprehensive nursing service units in two academic medical institutions that provide healthcare service at the tertiary care level in Korea. A descriptive study was conducted with the nurses by using self-reported questionnaires. We used descriptive statistics to summarize the data and Mann-Whitney U test for group comparison. The mean scores of job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention were $89.17{\pm}12.56$, $107.25{\pm}6.85$, $37.19{\pm}4.86$, respectively. Nurses with religion showed more job stress than those without. Nurses with their age below 30 years old had significantly less job satisfaction than those older than 30 years old. Monthly income was significantly associated with turnover intention in our data. The top three sub-category of the job stress were conflict with physicians, patients and their caregivers, and conflicts with others; and those of the job satisfaction were pay and promotion and task requirement. Job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention were significantly correlated. In order to reduce turnover intention of nursing professionals in the comprehensive nursing service, job stress related to issues on relationships with patients, their family, health care providers need to be taken into consideration. Policy and administrative support are needed to improve their work environment.

This descriptive research investigates the knowledge of and attitude toward HIV/AIDS among individuals in their 20s to 40s. This study also analyzes the results of the 2011 and 2013 community health surveys to identify the factors influencing their knowledge and attitude. The study subjects were 20 to 49 years old, and the final analysis included 182,315 subjects. The collected data were analyzed through t-tests, ANOVA, correlational analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The survey results showed a high level of knowledge of HIV/AIDS, with 69.4% correct answers. Most individuals lacked knowledge regarding routes of infection, and those in their 20s had the lowest percentage of correct answers. As for attitude toward HIV/AIDS, 44.3% showed a negative attitude. The scores for knowledge and attitude toward HIV/AIDS were higher among males, unmarried individuals, individuals with a higher income, individuals with a higher level of education, individuals working in agriculture, forestry, or fishery, managers, professions that were not homemakers/unemployed, and professional soldiers. A positive correlation (r=0.27, p<0.001) was observed between knowledge and attitude. The factors influencing AIDS knowledge and attitude were gender, marital status, income level, occupation, and education level. This study confirmed that there is a difference by age group. As such, educational programs customized by age and other characteristics are expected to be more effective in enhancing knowledge and in developing a more positive attitude towards HIV/AIDS.
This study was developing group counseling program for sexual education for Christian young adults. and its effects were proven. For this purpose, this study of unmarried Christian young adults ranging 30 from the age 20~35 years old who are attending church C and S located in city of C at Kyungnam province. The subject and control group each had 15 people who separately participated in this program once a week for 120 minutes, 12 times in total. The control group did not receive any feedback after the sessions. group counseling program for sexual education was based on Crabb's biblical counseling model and McMinn's cognitive therapy. Using 12 kinds of cognitive therapy techniques. for its effects were verified. used The sexual knowledge scale standardized model of a college student set by Jeon Gyungsook, Lee Hyoyoung, Lee Seonja, The sexual attitude scale standardized model for a college student set by Ho Seonmin, The sexual decision making scale developed by Sun Mikyung. The data analysis consisted of Cronbach's α test, χ2-test, Mann-Whitney U test, Friedman test, a χ nd Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The result of this study is improve the sexual knowledge, show the conservative tendency of sexual attitudes, and prove the increase in the ability to make responsible sexual decisions of Christian young adults. Following up, this study spreads awareness of the true meaning of sexual being as illustrated from the bible and implies a beneficial program within the church that promotes a healthy life and reconciliation between self, neighbors, and God in a life according to the purpose of creation and order.
This study is focused on the historical route in which reconciliation between work and family has been operating in the United States whose welfare standards are low, by using analytic narratives, from late 19th century to early 20th century. The first step saw an increase in the social advancement of unmarried women due to the increase in employment in the occupation of white-collar, as well as the increase of women in the Academy and in educational institutions. In the second step, the social advancement of married women was increased by the enforcement of the New Deal, consumption capitalism, and World War II. In the third step, the sphere of highly-educated women was expanded to a professional one through active measures aimed at gender equality, and the women's liberation movement of the 1960s took place. The United States' path model was completed in the fourth step. This study show that the most important factors have a significant influence to complete route of the American's Route were individual efforts of women (capacity building through the academic and the powerful women's movement) and the individual employment relationship in labor market. This study shows that individual efforts of women, especially in building capacity through the academic and the powerful women's movement, and the labor market, whose individual employment relationship is well-developed, have a significant influence on completing the route of the highly educated middle-class women in America.
