This article focused on heterotopian spaces of modern Korea in the colonial era. This paper attempted to understand the features of heterotopia in the era. Heterotopia was slightly grotesque in modernity, but in the colonial era, people expected to realize the hope of contemporary society. Also, while analyzing discourses on heterotopia, this study identified another point of view on modernity in the era,. Pagoda Park, where March First Independence Movement was conducted and the psychiatric hospital East Ward Eighth, were heterotopian spaces at the times. Those spaces are represented as failure of modernity. Nevertheless, those spaces functioned as utopia, where people could speak freely on 'the independence'. But the governing system considered such speech as deceptive strange stories. Strange stories that inexplicably, revealed imperfection of the governing system and caused anxiety about the foundation of daily life. In conclusion, this article could provide understanding of another side of acceptance of modernity in the colonial era i.e., anxiety. It was revealed through the finding of heterotopia and analyzing discourses on heterotopia in the colonial Korea.

"사실 국가건축정책위원장 책임을 떠안는 것에 고민을 많이 했습니다. 작금 건축의 본질에 관해 꽤 진지하게 논하는 결정권자들이 많아진 상황에서 직을 맡은 이상 그냥 시간만 보내진 않을 겁니다. 평소 생각한 건축계의 부족한, 불합리한, 불비한 부분을 임기 중 완전히 고치진 못한다 하더라도 시작은 해놓고 끝내려 합니다." 작년 4월 취임한 승효상 대통령소속 국가건축정책위원장이 국내 건축계 현안에 대한 생각과 앞으로의 계획을 설명했다. 그가 걸어온 삶의 궤적에는 건축의 공공성 문화적 가치라는 단어들이 새겨져 있으며, 이는 그가 활동해 온 건축계 여러 운동 모임에서도 살펴볼 수 있다. 지식인으로서 마땅히 지녀야 할 건축사(Architect)의 책무에 관해서는 쓴소리도 서슴지 않았던 그다. 2014년 서울시 '초대 총괄건축가'로 선임돼 서울시의 도시정책과 건축문화, 공공 공간조성 등 도시계획 전반에 대해 역할을 했다면, 이젠 국가 건축정책의 목표와 관계 부처간 건축정책의 심의.조정까지 그 역할범위가 커졌다. 필드의 건축사라면 승효상 국가건축정책위원장에게 기대하는 바가 큰 게 사실이다. 실제 그의 취임 후 정부 내 국건위의 위상은 과거와 달라졌으며, 작년 9월 4일에는 문재인 대통령이 서울 은평구 구산동 도서관마을에서 열린 '대한민국 국민생활 SOC현장 방문, 동네 건축현장을 가다' 행사에 참석해 도서관, 체육관, 경로당 등 '생활 SOC 혁신의지'를 강조해 눈길을 끌었다. 최근 정부세종신청사 설계공모 관련 논란에는 "국토부에 소관 설계공모 규정을 고쳐야 함을 권고했다. 고칠 거다! 안 고치면 안 되게 돼 있다!"며 목소리에 힘을 주어 재차 강조했다. 제5기 대통령소속 국가건축정책위원장으로 선임돼 지난해 4월부터 역할을 해온 승효상 건축사를 종로구 동숭동 (주)종합건축사사무소 이로재(履露齋)에서 만났다.

Human beings have made remarkable advances in medical technology as well as technological advances. However, as was the case in the past, incurable diseases still exist: temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ). The diagnosis of the Korean medical staff, currently called a "medical advance," is adhering to the outdated patient's comments, diagnosis using a doctor's auditory diagnosis and a ruler, and diagnosis of X-ray imaging. Therefore, it is important to have accurate patient symptoms, to have a doctor's own diagnosis and experience, to increase the number of diagnoses due to the severity of the symptoms, and to cover the costs of medical care. To solve this problem, the core conductive signal generated from the bridge was quantified through %MVC. Quantified EMG will be assessed and compared with Cortex to establish a jaw joint condition evaluation criterion.

Abstract This research is a comparative study on the geological natural monuments of South and North Koreas. The classification system on natural monuments between South Korea and North Korea is similar, but North Korea's designations are relatively well-balanced. The geology field of South Korea was composed of rocks, caves, fossils and general geology, whereas that of North Korea was subdivided into rocks, fossils, strata, mineral springs, hot springs, geography, waterfalls, lakes, caves and pools. Unlike South Korea, North Korea designates and preserves geological structures such as fold and fault, and representative outcrops of mine. It is suggested that South Korea has to establish natural monument management policies for preserving geological structures and outstanding outcrops of mine. The 47-year period of preserving natural monuments in South Korea was divided into the stages I (1962~1980), II (1981~1995) and III (1996~2008). The designated numbers of geological natural monuments in the stage I, II and III average 1.1, 0.1 and 2.6, respectively. The number of geological natural monuments in South Korea is highest in Jeju province, whereas that in North Korea is highest in Gangwon province. This implies that natural monuments have been well protected especially in the locality of slow urbanization.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of magnesium water on the cognitive function, concentration and performance of bowling players. The total number of subjects in this study was 42, and changes in blood magnesium concentration, cognitive ability, concentration and performance were identified during the four-week experiment period. Data distribution was analyzed using SPSS18.0 with Normality test and Repeated measure two way ANOVA. Studies show that the concentration of magnesium in the blood of bowling players has changed with the intake of magnesium drinks, and that the concentration of magnesium in the blood has a proportional relationship with the cognitive function, concentration and performance.

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, Jakarta's Ex-Governor, lost his re-election bid in 2017 and then was jailed on a charge of blasphemy. After his defeat, the rhetorics of Indonesian politics was divided into two opposing sides: anti-Communism and 'pribumi' of the radical Islamic movements and Pancasila of the Jokowi administration. Although Islamic political parties are now preoccupied with their own coalitional politics and survivals, rather than solidarity of Islamic forces, the rising Islamic sentiments confirmed by the Jakarta election indicate that religion will continue to be a key variable in Indonesian politics. Meanwhile, ex-military generals who declared themselves as candidates in the 2018 regional election and the 2019 presidential election, as well as a few measures used by the Jokowi administration against extra-parliamentary political opponents, remind us of Suharto's New Order. Steady growth continues in economy. The raise of minimum wage enlarged middle classes and led to a decline of the poverty rate. Jokowi's commitment to building infrastructure has made tangible achievements. Under these circumstances, enhanced cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea is laudable, though any such cooperation must fully incorporate local sociocultural contexts, such as the strengthened halal certification system.

Architectural cultural properties suffer a lot of damage due to various environmental factors. In order to preserve damaged cultural properties, preventive preservation and long-term preservation management are becoming more important. Therefore, research on a scientific non-destructive testing method applicable to regular inspection is required. For related research, DangGan with a high flag-pole shape was selected as the subject of study among various cultural properties. Among the preserved DangGans, a basic study was conducted on the analysis technique to evaluate the structural stability by selecting Treasure No. 49 Naju SeokDangGan. An idealized model was presented and a multi-degree of freedom equation of motion was derived. In addition, an equation for estimating the critical stiffness value for each joint position is presented.

The study looked at a cross section of inter-Korean sports through the lives of female north korean defector. The researcher was a north korean national team player in the early and mid-1990s and defected to the north and played for the national team in South Korea. After her retirement, she became a coach, but felt limited and left the sports world. After analyzing the informant's interviews, the prevailing idea was that she was always politically used, and there was a regret that he was spotlighted as a defector rather than an athletic skill. And she was not in a position to choose between South Korea and North Korea. It was also shown that inter-Korean sports exchanges could not be developed unless economic conditions were supported. As a stranger, the research participants felt alienated and adapted to South Korea. Her life is an example of experiencing inter-Korean sports at the same time, and it is believed that she can have personal, specific, and concrete characteristics while showing universality in the upcoming era of unification.

I began to produce a series of works based upon the plastic element as a visual transmission -such as points, lines, sides, volumes and cubics, movements with in time, and space- which appeared in the optical art, that emerged in the 1950s and the early 1960. My works, which portray the natural scenes such as mountains, trees, and flowers that are commonly seen around us, are completed by drawing, erasing, filling with many points and overlapping. My works also ignore the scenography. All artistic activities must be based upon humanistic values and ultimately need to work for human being. The work tried to express more diverse impression rather than the emotion from the familiar perspective. We hope, therefore, my works give pleasure and satisfaction to these who come to see them.

Since 4-bar linkage widely used in various industrial fields has a fixed link length, it is inconvenient to add an independent link structure or control device to change the movement of output link. Therefore, this paper proposes a new concept of variable 4-bar linkage mechanism to selectively adjust the movement of the output link to fit desired situations, and applied to the commercial table fans, which is a representative product using a 4-bar linkage system. The optimal rotation angle steps for efficiency are determined experimentally and the appropriate lengths of linkage to fit each step are calculated analytically. Changes in the linkage length are implemented by the rotational motion using a grooved cylindrical cam and the feasibility of the proposed variable linkage mechanism is verified through fabrication and measurement. The presented variable link mechanism is expected to improve the efficiency of industrial robots and fuel valve systems.
