Study on the Rate-of-Loading by the Differential Pressure of Motor Operated Gate Valves in Opening Stroke (모터구동 게이트밸브의 열림행정시 차압 작용에 의한 부하율 연구)

  • The rate of loading in motor operated valve(MOV) can be defined as a variation of correlation between the actuator torque and the thrust upon the variation of operating load. This paper contains the analysis of characteristic and the validity of loading rate in the opening stroke of gate type motor operated valve. Also, this paper describes the evaluation result of loading rate for 40 MOVs' opening stroke using newly derived methodology in this study. Author has found a result that loading rate of opening stroke gets a negative value when the differential pressure is higher than 150 psi and this value goes up depending on the amount of the differential pressure.

  • In this paper, a linear motor piston amplitude estimator using phase lag filter has been implemented. In order to control the cooling capability of a refrigerator or an air conditioner in which liner compressors are applied, the piston speed should be controlled. The piston speed control can be obtained by adjusting the frequency or the stroke of linear motors. The dynamic performance of linear compressors depends on how accurately the stroke or the piston amplitude is estimated. A linear motor piston amplitude estimator using phase lag filter is proposed and the superior performance of our estimator is verified via some simulation studies.

  • This paper is studied the noise and vibration characteristics analysis of the three-phase induction AC motor of the electrical forklift. And we suggest the method which the reduction orders the noise and vibration to be the mechanical. In other to investigate these characteristics, we considered the mechanical characteristics, the electromagnetic effects, and these interactions. In mechanical, we studied the characteristic of the stator, the bearing supported condition of the rotor, and the sound radiation. In electronically, this paper is considered the harmonic effect which is related the magnetic motive force (mmf) with respect to the characteristic of the slot number of the rotor and the stator and the pole number of the motor. Finally we investigated the overall noise and vibration of the induction motor by relations between the electronically harmonic and the mechanical resonance of the stator. By the analysis of the generally three-phase induction motor, we suggest the design methodology to low noise and vibration.

  • 본 논문은 눈의 무게에 따른 압력센서의 전압변화를 이용하여 모터 구동 제어 및 제설이 가능한 방법을 제안하였다. 자동 제설 장치는 눈의 무게에 따른 압력 센서의 전압변화를 MCU의 내부 ADC를 이용하여 센서의 아날로그 값을 디지털 값으로 변환 한다. 변환한 디지털 값을 이용하여 MCU에서 무게를 판단하고, 그에 따라 모터의 구동을 제어 하게 된다. MCU의 무게 판단은 압력 센서에 가해지는 무게에 따라 변하는 압력센서의 가변저항 특성을 이용하게 되며, 직렬 저항 회로를 구성하여 압력센서의 전압 변화의 값을 ADC의 입력으로 주게 된다. 입력된 아날로그 값을 ADC로 디지털 값으로 변환하게 된다. 변환된 디지털 값을 MCU에서 판단하게 되며, 판단의 결과로 모터의 구동을 제어하게 된다. 즉, 이러한 시스템을 통하여 비닐하우스의 지붕의 눈을 실시간으로 자동 제설하게 된다.

  • Slotless BLDC motor는 Slot과 Teeth가 없으므로 이에 따른 Cogging Torque 및 Torque Ripple이 거의 존재 하지 않으며, 전동기의 무게 또한 감소하게 된다. 또한 권선의 장주(Span)가 짧아 Inductance가 낮기 때문에 고속화가 용이해지며, Slot의 부재는 좀 더 많은 Coil권선을 이용 할 수 있다. 하지만 모터의 구조상 전기장하가 높아짐에 따라 권선의 온도 상승에 대한 보완 등이 필요로 되어 지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 온도 상승 문제를 해결하기 위해 열 발생과 모터사이의 관계 규명을 전류 밀도 함수로 표시 하였고, 전류 밀도 최소화 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 퍼미언스법에 의한 간략 설계에 의해서 기본 설계를 실시 한 후 FEM을 통한 정밀 해석을 통해서 각각의 민감도를 분석하여 최적의 파라메타를 선정하는 방식을 취하였다. 또한 고속 회전시 발생되는 진동을 저감하기 위해 모터의 길이방향 즉 적층과의 관계를 통하여 진동 저감 설계를 제안하였다.

A Theoretical Study on the Estimation of Distorted Thrust of Solid Rocket Motor (왜곡된 로켓 모터 추력 추정에 관한 이론적 연구)

  • In general, static firing test is conducted before flight in order to obtain data such as thrust. pressure, temperature and strain, which show the characteristics of rocket motors. But the measured thrust of the obtained data is especially distorted by the effects of dynamic characteristics of thrust stand so that it is difficult for us to determine the exact value of peak thrust and rising time etc., which represent the performance of rocket motor. This paper, therefore. verified the causes of distortion of measured thrust, and proposed the theoretical method to estimate the true thrust from the distorted thrust. And also the proposed method was applied to virtual thrust stand using computer simulation, and showed good result. As a result of that, the proposed method was proven to be valid and applicable to estimate distorted thrust.

  • Recently, we have reconstructed LX-200 12inch telescope system for tracking and observing man-made space object. Motor, motor driver and motion controller were up-graded for getting faster respond characteristic and active control available. Also, command signal was offered to the PID controller into motor driver as computed real orbiting information of objects using PC, and it's control period of command signal was reduced to the 20ms. As the result, slew speed of the mount system was in proved up to $18^{\circ}/sec$ and respond speed of the system was faster than that of commercial system. Also, flipping state of image observed could be minimized by the up-graded system.

Burst Performance Test of Filament Wound Kick Motor Case (필라멘트 와인딩으로 제작된 킥모터 연소관의 파열 성능 시험)

  • Both structural analysis and hydraulic test have been conducted to confirm the burst characteristics of filament wound solid motor case. Failure criteria have been defined with bursting above 150% of MEOP and failure in the cylinder. The results of analysis showed that filament fiber in the cylinder should be broken at about 2088psig. From a hydraulic test the same failure mode and the level of 2200psig of burst pressure have been proved. With these results, it is verified that a filament wound case meets burst requirements.

  • This paper presents the reduction of acoustic noise generated by electromagnetic force in an induction motor of the electrical forklift. After summarizing the electromagnetic excitation forces due to the interaction between the stator/rotor slot permeance and the stator winding magnetomotive force, the effects of the electromagnetic force on the noise and vibration of an induction motor are analyzed. In order to experimentally identify the noise sources of the motor, the signal analyses for noise and vibration are performed by using waterfall plots of noise and vibration spectrums. It is found that severe noise and vibration are caused by the electromagnetic force when the mode number of the excitation shape for a stator is low. Furthermore, it is verified that the motor noise is amplified if the excitation frequency of the electromagnetic force coincides with one of the natural frequencies of the stator. It is experimentally demonstrated that this severe noise can be considerably reduced by structure modifications. Finally, some design guidelines are suggested to develop an induction motor with a low level of noise.

Evaluation of Structural Stiffness Degradation and Burst Pressure Measurement of the FM Kick-Motor Combustion Case (킥모터 FM 규격 연소관에 대한 강성저하 평가 및 파열압력 측정)

  • A hydraulic test on a filament wound case of Kick-Motor was conducted to evaluate the structural stiffness degradation and to confirm the burst performance. Failure criteria have been defined with bursting above 150% of MEOP(Maximum Expected Operation Pressure) and failure in the cylinder. The analysis result showed that filament fiber in the cylinder should be broken at about 2088psig. From a hydraulic test it has been verified that composite case meets the failure requirements, and that the stiffness does not decrease even after a year since the manufacturing.
