Performance Analysis of Adaptive Modulation Based Incremental Hop Selection Scheme for Multi-Hop Networks (다중 홉 네트워크를 위한 적응 변조 기반 증분형 홉 선택 기법의 성능 분석)

  • This paper proposes an adaptive modulation based incremental hop selection scheme which improves network coverage in half-duplex multi-hop networks. The proposed scheme guarantees wide coverage through the operation of multi-hop network while preventing spectral efficiency loss due to the usage of multiple time phases in the half-duplex protocol. Also, we evaluate the average spectral efficiency performance over Nakagami-m fading channel. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes and the derived evaluation is valid.

  • In this paper, we propose an allocation scheme for variable message packings to increase efficiency of military operation using Link-16 which is well-known for tactical data link by delivering imagery information rapidly. We propose a variable message packing scheme using COC waveform to support variable data rate under some coverage limitation. Variety of message packing makes Link-16 vary transmission rate appropriately for tactical environment. We also propose a allocation scheme to assign message packing to time slot properly. Finally we verify the performance and superiority of proposed ideas by simulations.

  • Routing protocol using in the existing wire network cannot be used as it is for efficient data transmission in MANET. Because it consists of only mobile nodes, network topology is changing dynamically. Therefore, each mobile node must perform router functions. Variety of routing attack like DoS in MANET is present owing to these characteristic. In this paper, we proposed cooperative-based detection method to improve detection performance of flooding attack which paralyzes network by consuming resource. Accurate attack detection is done as per calculated adaptively threshold value considered the amount of all network traffic and the number of nodes. All the mobile nodes used a table called NHT to perform collaborative detection and apply cluster structure to the center surveillance of traffic.

  • The weather hazard by worldwide global warming rapidly increases year by year, and the damage becomes also enormous. especially, the damage by the random local severe rain in Korea is conspicuous. The forecast is difficult, because the random local severe rain arises by the complicated mechanism. However, local weather field in the Honam district where the weather hazard arises well is accurately grasped, and the systems that predict the local severe rain early are necessary. The purpose of this research is development of radar data assimilation observed at Jindo S-band radar. The accurate observational data assimilation system is required for meteorological numerical prediction of the region scale. Diagnostic analysis system LAPS(Local Analysis and Prediction System) developed by US FSL(Forecast Systems Laboratory) is adopted assimilation system of the Honam district forecasting system.

Multihop Range-Free Localization with Virtual Hole Construction in Anisotropic Sensor Networks (비등방성 센서 네트워크에서 가상 홀을 이용한 다중 홉 Range-Free 측위 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents a multihop range-free localization algorithm to estimate the physical location of a normal node with local connectivity information in anisotropic sensor networks. In the proposed algorithm, a normal node captures the detour degree of the shortest path connecting an anchor pair and itself by comparing the measured hop count and the expected hop count, and the node estimates the distances to the anchors based on the detour degree. The normal node repeats this procedure with all anchor combinations and pinpoints its location using the obtained distance estimates. The proposed algorithm requires fewer anchors and less communication overhead compared to existing range-free algorithms. We showed the superiority of the proposed algorithm over existing range-free algorithms through MATLA simulations.

  • Indoor wireless positioning system uses ranging information of beacons in order to precisely estimate a tag location. To estimate distance between each beacons and tag, the system calculates arrival time of a tag pulse with clock of each beacon including independent clock offset. This clock offset seriously affects the performance of ranging and positioning. We propose in this paper a clock offset compensation method to solve this problem. To verify the performance of the proposed method, we simulated location estimation with random clock offset between -1,000ppm and 1,000ppm, and the result shows that the proposed scheme effectively solves the clock offset problem.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 밀도 기반 전지 클러스터링 알고리즘의 성능을 개선한 밀도 기반 클러스터링의 근사적 접근법을 제안한다. 기존의 밀도 기반 전지 알고리즘은 다차원 색인의 많은 검색 공간을 빠르게 전지하면서도 원하는 클러스터를 정확히 찾아내는 특징을 가지고 있다. 그러나 기존 알고리즘은 전지를 위한 한계 값 설정을 위하여 단말 영역들의 밀도 값을 사용함으로써, 내부 영역에 속한 단말 영역들 간의 밀도 편차가 큰 경우 전지 여부에 대한 판별이 빨리 이루어지지 않는다. 또한, 최악의 경우에는 모든 단말 페이지를 검색하여야 하고, 이에 따라 성능이 저하될 수 있다. 반면에 제안하는 근사적 접근법에서는 한계 값 설정을 위해 단말 영역이 아닌 내부 영역의 밀도 값을 사용한다. 일반적으로, 내부 영역들 간의 밀도 편차는 단말 영역들 간의 밀도 편차보다 크지 않으므로, 근사 밀도 기반 전지 알고리즘에서는 더욱 많은 검색 공간의 전지 여부의 빨리 판별할 수 있게 된다. 성능 평가 실험을 수행한 결과, 제안한 알고리즘은 기존의 알고리즘과 비교하여 정확성 측면에서는 큰 차이가 없는 반면 수행 시간 측면에서는 최대 $17\%$의 성능 향상 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Most systems that retrieve distributed information on the Internet have difficulties in retrieving relevant information for they are not able to reflect exact semantics on retrieval queries that usersrequest. In this paepr, we propose an automatic query expansion based on ter distribution which reflects semantics of retrieval term to emhance the performance of information retrieval. We computed weight, indicating its overal imoritance in the collection documents and user's query and we use LSI's SVD technique to measure the term distribution which appears similar to query. And also, we measure the similarity to compared numerical value with query terms. Also we researched the method to reduce additional terms automatically and evaluated the performance of the proposed method.

  • We have studied an efficient threshold level for desired target detection in radar system in the paper. A desired target searching detection method detects desired target according to changing for false alarm probability. This time, false alarm probability is close relation to threshold level. Low threshold level can improve detection for desired target, but detect noise signal. Therefor, This method is not good one. In this paper, we propose efficient threshold level method in order to estimation for desired target. Through simulation, we are analysis and performance to compare general method with proposal method. We show that proposed method is more good proof than general method.

  • 영농기간 동안 논에서의 유출량을 정량적으로 파악하기 위해서는 강우와 관개를 고려하여 논에서의 물수지를 파악하여야 한다. 효율적인 물수지를 분석하기 위해서는 관개량과 지표 유출량의 기작을 모니터링하는 것이 중요하지만, 지표 유출량의 경우 현장 관리나 영농 조건 변화 등에 따라 정확한 현장 자료 수집에 어려움이 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 서울대학교 지역시스템공학과에서 운영하고 있는 평택의 논 포장을 연구 대상지로 선정하여 영농기간 동안 모니터링을 실시한 뒤 논에서의 물수지에 요구되는 현장자료를 수집하였다. 모니터링을 통해 수집된 기초 수문 자료를 활용하여 물수지식에 적용한 뒤 논 포장에서의 지표 유출량을 산정하였다. 본 연구에서는 현장 모니터링을 통하여 수집된 담수심, 강우량, 관개량 자료와 증발산량 산정에 있어 보다 큰 영향을 미치는 기상자료를 활용하여 입력자료를 구축한 뒤, 인공신경망 모형을 이용한 지표 유출량 추정 모형을 구성하였다. 모형의 적용성을 평가하기 위하여, 구축된 학습 자료를 이용하여 학습을 수행하여 매개변수를 결정하였고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 유출량의 모의치와 물수지식을 통하여 산정된 유출량 값을 비교하여 모형을 검증하고, 그 결과를 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 모형은 지속적인 현장 모니터링과 이를 통하여 축적된 장기간의 수문자료를 활용하여 그 성능을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
