This study was conducted to evaluate an early-maturing rice cultivars adaptable to early transplanting cultivation in Yeongnam plain area. High temperature during the ripening stage of paddy rice under the early-transplanting cultivation in Yeongnam plain was to influence in several agronomic traits such as number of spikelet, ripening ratio, grain appearance of milled rice, and yield. 'Gounbyeo' and 'Junghwabyeo' were better than the others in grain appearance of milled rice and ripening ratio, but their yield potential were lower than that of the other varieties. Moreover, 'Gounbyeo' and 'Junghwabyeo' showed high ratio of broken rice. 'Unkwangbyeo' was the highest in yield and eating quality among the tested varieties, but also high percentage of white core and belly in milled rice. Therefore, in order to recommend those cultivars to farmers, it should be needed to establish an optimal cultivation method, such as transplanting density, fertilizer application, and harvesting time, etc. consequently, it should also be required to develop a new varieties with high ripening capability under high temperature condition.
The effects of annealing in rotating magnetic field after deposition on electromagnetic properties of $Co_{82}Zr_6Mo_{12}$ thin (200~1200 $\AA$) films prepared by RF-magnetron sputtering were investigated in terms of microstructure and surface morphology. The coercivity decreases, but $4{\pi}M_5$ does not change with increasing the film thickness. The coercivity of the films was decreased below 300 $^{\circ}C$ due to stress relief and decreasing the surface roughness, while increased at 400 $^{\circ}C$ due to partial grain growth. And then, $4{\rho}M_5$ was almost independent of annealing temperatures below 200 $^{\circ}C$, but increased from 7.4 kG to 8.0 kG at 300 $^{\circ}C$ and at 400 $^{\circ}C$, which was caused by precipitation and growth of fine Co particles in the films. The electrical resistivity of films was decreased with increasing annealing temperatures and the magnetoresistance was a negative value of nearly 0 $\mu$$\Omega$cm. After annealing at 300 $^{\circ}C$, maximum effective permeability was 1200 to the hard axis of the thin films according to high frequency change. Considering the practical application of biasing layers of the films for magnetoresistive heads, optimal annealing conditions was obtained after one hour annealing at 300 $^{\circ}C$ in 400 Oe rotating magnetic field.

The optimum seeding date and the suitable seeding period for puddled drill seeding of rice at southern plain area were determined by using Sinunbongbyeo (early maturing variety), Hwaseongbyeo(medium maturing var.) and Dongjinbyeo (late medium maturing var.) at National Honam Agricultural Experiment Station from 1993 to 1994, Seedling stand was decreased significantly at seeding on April 25 in all varieties, Threshold seed-ing dates for stable ripening was estimated as June 10 in Sinunbongbyeo, May 31 in Hwaseongbyeo and May 25 in Dongjinbyeo, The 1,000 grain weight and the ripened grain rate were highest at seed-ing on May 10 or May 25 in all varieties, and decreased significantly at seeding on June 25 in Sinunbongbyeo and seeding after June 10 in Hwaseongbyeo and Dongjinbyeo, The optimum average air temperature for 40 days after heading was 22.6$^{\circ}C$ for highest ripening rate and 22.0$^{\circ}C$ for heaviest 1,000 grain weight. The optimum seeding date for highest yield was May 9 in Dongjinbyeo, May 13 in Hwaseongbyo and May 15 in Sinunbongbyeo.
In this study, we investigated the reinforcing effects of waveform micropiles in a stratigraphic setting comprising buried soil, weathered soil, and weathered rock. We conducted a series of field load tests and determined that waveform micropiles exhibited sufficient bearing capacity through frictional resistance in the soil layer and demonstrated favorable constructability in conditions with deep bedrock layers. Moreover, the vertical stiffness of waveform micropiles was approximately 2.2 times higher than that of conventional micropiles when subjected to the same design load. Pile group load tests comprising conventional and waveform micropiles showed that micropiles with higher stiffness carried a greater proportion of the load. Although there was no significant difference in the bearing capacity between conventional and waveform micropiles under the same design load, waveform micropiles with higher stiffness showed a load-carrying capacity 1.7 to 3.2 times greater than that of conventional micropiles. These findings suggest that waveform micropiles can be effectively used for foundation reinforcement and reduce the risk of foundation failure when increased loads due to modifications such as expansion remodeling are expected.

Growth, milled rice yield and edible quality of rice in naturally reseeded Chinese milk vetch(CMV)-rice cropping system was compared with those in rice mono cropping on silty loam soil in Milyang from 2006-2008. Practicing natural reseeding technology recorded high CMV reseeding stand ranging from 565-805 plants $m^{-2}$ and resulting in the production of 13.0-17.0 kg N/10a from the CMV plant biomass which is greater than the recommendation rate of 9 kgN/10a. The plant height of rice plant grown in natural reseeding field is shorter at tillering stage but it was similar to the rice mono cropping at later stage. Dry matter production had similar trend to plant height. On the other hand, the leaf color in naturally reseeded CMV-rice cropping system was similar to the rice mono cropping up to panicle heading stage but it was high at mature stage, indicating that the nitrogen was provided by the CMV decomposition until later stage of rice. The yield components such as culm number $m^{-2}$ was greater and 1,000-brown rice weight was heavier than those of rice mono cropping but the ripened grain ratio was lower in naturally reseeded CMV-rice cropping system. Milled rice yield of naturally reseeded CMV-rice cropping system was similar to that of rice mono cropping. However, head rice percentage of milled rice was lower due to low ripened grain ratio. This result indicates that natural CMV reseeding technology can completely replace chemical fertilizer in CMV-rice cropping system.

This experiment was carried out to determine the effects of topping time and fertilizer split application on the growth and root yield of Scutellaria baicalensis G. In case of stem cutting at 25cm above the soil surface early in July and middle in August, plant height was reduced by 37cm compared with nontreatment, but stem diameter, the number of branch per plant and the growth of root increased. Topping treatment twice produced the highest dry root yield (182kg/10a) of all, 15% higher than nontreatment. When nitrogen and potassium were applied by the basal dressing with 60% and by the top dressing early in July and middle in August with 20% in each time, the growth of plant (both top and root) increased. The dry root yield per 10a in top dressing twice was 12% higher than once.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the ear and kernel characteristics of colored waxy corn hybrids during ripening according to different sowing dates. Heukjinjuchal and Eolrukchal 1 were sown at April 20 (first cropping) and July 20 (second cropping) in 2011~2012. The accumulated temperature from silking to harvesting was about $590{\sim}610^{\circ}C$. It takes 23~24 days when Heukjinjuchal and Eolrukchal 1 were sown in April 20, but July 20 sowing takes 32~35 days. Ear weight, ear diameter, 100-kernel weight and starch content of colored waxy corn were increased as ears matured (p<0.05). Growth temperature was getting decreased during the ripening stage of second cropping, the rate of ear and kernel development had slowed. Starch granules started to accumulate in the cells around the pericarp, then developed in the cells around the embryo. In the second cropping, starch granules in the kernel of colored waxy corn were less compact than the first cropping. The contents of total anthocyanins, cyanidin-3-glucoside and pelargonidin-3-glucoside were increased according to ripening (p<0.05). These results will be helpful to farmers for double cropping of colored waxy corn cultivation and management.
The use of cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT) has been proposed for guiding the delivery of radiation therapy. A kilovoltage imaging system capable of radiography, fluoroscopy, and cone-beam computed tomography(CT) has been integrated with a medical linear accelerator. A standard clinical linear accelerator, operating in arc therapy mode, and an amorphous-silicon (a-Si) with an on-board electronic portal imager can be used to treat palliative patient and verify the patient's position prior to treatment. On-board CBCT images are used to generate patient geometric models to assist patient setup. The image data can also, potentially, be used for dose reconstruction in combination with the fluence maps from treatment plan. In this study, the accuracy of Hounsfield Units of CBCT images as well as the accuracy of dose calculations based on CBCT images of a phantom and compared the results with those of using CT simulator images. Phantom and patient studies were carried out to evaluate the achievable accuracy in using CBCT and CT stimulator for dose calculation. Relative electron density as a function of HU was obtained for both planning CT stimulator and CBCT using a Catphan-600 (The Phantom Laboratory, USA) calibration phantom. A clinical treatment planning system was employed for CT stimulator and CBCT based dose calculations and subsequent comparisons. The dosimetric consequence as the result of HU variation in CBCT was evaluated by comparing MU/cCy. The differences were about 2.7% (3-4MU/100cGy) in phantom and 2.5% (1-3MU/100cGy) in patients. The difference in HU values in Catphan was small. However, the magnitude of scatter and artifacts in CBCT images are affected by limitation of detector's FOV and patient's involuntary motions. CBCT images included scatters and artifacts due to In addition to guide the patient setup process, CBCT data acquired prior to the treatment be used to recalculate or verify the treatment plan based on the patient anatomy of the treatment area. And the CBCT has potential to become a very useful tool for on-line ART.)
Soybean, C.V. Daewonkong, was planted on 25 May and 25 June in 2011, and four temperature gradient, control (ambient temperature in field plot), control + $3^{\circ}C$, control + $4^{\circ}C$, and control + $5^{\circ}C$, were artificially created by controlling the green house system. The obtained results indicated that vegetative growth of soybean plant was beneficially facilitated by planting on May (PM) than planting on June (PJ). The 100-seed weight was significantly higher in PM, and positively affected by increasing temperature, whereas the weight was reduced in control + $5^{\circ}C$ plot. Isoflavone content and fatty acid composition were analyzed to determine the effects of plating date and growth temperature. Isoflavone content was higher in PJ plot ($1479.8{\mu}g/g$) than in PM plot ($1201.8{\mu}g/g$), however, the influence of growth temperature varied with planting date. The composition of oleic acid was positively affected by increasing temperature, whereas the proportions of linoleic and linolenic acid were reduced. The numbers of node was considered as a major variable in the regression equations estimated using forward stepwise regression analysis for isoflavone content and unsaturated fatty acid under different environmental conditions.
The author devided th period of 1876-1945 into three epochs ; the Opening of Ports in 1876 -before the Political Reform in 1894 , the Political Reform- the Japanese annexation of Korea in 1910 , and the Epoch of Japanese Colony during 1910-1945. As civilization through including educational reform rised. The modern school system began to be introduced nongovernmentally and governmentally to Korea in the 1880's without any school laws. Were chronologycally established school regulation by Korea Government in 1895-1893, school laws by Korean Government under the supervision of the Japanese Residency-General of Korea in 1906-1910, and the educational laws of Korea by the Japanese Government-General of Korea in 1911-1943. In these epochs, the numbers of elementary , secondary and higher educational institutions and the numbers of pupils and students had increased slowly. Japanese had developed sonwhat primary education and secondary technical education, but it had checked extremely the Korean peoples to receive secondary liberal education and higher education, On the epoch of Japanese colony, Japanese occupied nearly half of elementary school teachers, almost of public secondary school teachers educated in Japan, and nearly all of professor educated in Japan in public and national colleges which were technical, and in one imperial university . Forty or more Korean teachers taught natural history chief at private secondary schools for Koreans , more than half of them being graduates of colleges of agriculture and forestry in Korea and Japan. The author mentioned curricula , and subjects and textbooks connected with biology of elementary, secondary and higher educational institutions. The pup8ls and students received biological knowledge through learning sciences at primary schools ; natural history (plants, animals and minerals ) at secondary schools including normal schools ; botany, zoology, genetics and major subjects related with biology such as anatomy, physiology, bacteriology, pland breeding at medical colleges and colleges of agriculture and forestry. There were no departments of biology , botany or zoology in Korea. Only seven Koreas graduated from departments of biology, botany or zoology at imperial universities in Japan. Some of them played the leading parts to develop education and researches of biology in the universities after 1945 Liberation.
