Validity of the Teacher's Scales for Gifted Preschool Children (교사용 유아 영재성 평가척도 개발 및 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the validity of the Teacher's Scale for Gifted Preschool Children(TSGPC). Participation of this study were 357 preschool children and their parents and teachers from Seoul, Ulsan, Daegy, Gwangiu & Daejeon. Data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis, Pearson's r, t-test and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Results are as follows. (1) exploratory factor analysis of TSGPC revealed that a 5-factor solution (academic ability, creativity, task commitment, artistic talent, and leadership) was the best fit. (2) Correlations between TSGPC and parental rating scale for young children's giftedness were significant. (3) Scores of TSGPC between gifted children and general children were significantly different (4) Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ ranged from .82 and .91 for subscale of TSGPC and .93 for the total scale. These results show that the Teacher's Scale for Gifted Preschool Children is quite reliable and valid measure.

Testing Reliability and Validity of Reduced Substitutes for Leadership Scales(rd-SLS) (단축형 리더십 대체요인 척도의 신뢰도 및 타당도 검정)

  • Purpose: This paper was conducted to test the reliability and validity of rd-SLS, developed by Podsakoff, et al. (1993) which measured 'substitutes for leadership'. Method: The subjects were 345 nurses in 5 general hospitals. Cronbach's and the Guttman split-half coefficient were used to test the reliability of rd-SLS. Factor analysis, and the correlations of the rv-SLS and SLS with rd-SLS were used for convergent and discriminant validity. Result: Cronbach's data was 0.76 and the Guttman split-half coefficient was 0.52. Twelve factors evolved by factor analysis, which explained $70.4\%$ of the total variance. This result was similar to previous study results. However, 'Indifference toward organizational rewards'-related items were classified two factors. It was not clear t hat the rd-SLS consisted of 13 concepts(factors). The correlations of the rv-SLS and SLS with the rd-SLS were 0.93 and 0.87 respectively. Conclusion: The rd-SLS showed a moderate degree of validity and reliability. Thus, it is recommended to use the rd-SLS in general nursing organizations for screening for leadership substitutes. In addition, it is necessary to clarify the concept of organizational rewards. In a further study, the factor structure of the rd-SLS may be considered.

A Development and Validation of the KEDI Leadership Inventory (Simplified) (KEDI 리더십특성검사(간편형) 개발 및 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the validity of KEDI Leadership Inventory (Simplified) for elementary and secondary school student. The existing Leadership Inventory is outdated by excessive or insufficient items. To verify reliability and validity of this KEDI Leadership Inventory (Simplified), we analyze internal consistency of scale for reliability and construct validity, convergent and discriminative validity. criterion-related validity. The internal consistency of the scale is relatively high from .610 to .838 for elementary school student, and from .734 to .936 for secondary school student To verify construct validity, we analyze a confirmatory factor analysis using AMOS whether revealed that the structural equation model including 5 construct validity in KEDI Leadership Inventory(Simplified) showed fit index at a satisfactory level as follows. The major fit indexes are showed as follows; CFI (.954), TLI (.943), RMSEA (.068) in the scale for elementary school student, CFI (.935), TLI (.915), RMSEA (.070) in the scale for secondary school student. Futhermore, to secure criterion-related validity, this KEDI Leadership Inventory(Simplified) showed significant correlations with student's leader position in their classroom for r=.358 (p<.01), and gifted education students are significantly higher .50 than no gifted student. This KEDI Leadership Inventory (Sim'plified) is made up of parsimonious 20 items, so that teachers can be convenient to identify intra-inter personal leadership characteristics of a student and recommend the student for gifted education institution.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the factors which influence the attitude of employees in security firms in Korea that ultimately lead to their turnover. Several variables which are seen as influential in formation of employees' attitudes about their organizations are leadership and job characteristics. In commitment and job stress were seen as two major variables which lead to the formation of their turnover, commitment was seen as positive influential variable and job stress a negatively influencing variable in employees' attitudes about their respective organizations. Survey method using questionnaires were utilized on employees of medium to large security firms in Seoul and Kyonggi province of Korea where 30 or more were employed. Sample for this research were field operators and, for leadership determination, their division chiefs were chosen. For the purpose of this research, several key hypotheses derived and developed from existing works related to this research topic were tested using multiple regression analysis utilizing SPSS 11.0. and Lisrel 8W The research findings are an follows: 1. leadership behavior of the superiors greatly influence, in most positive way, the employees' commitment. 2. Those employees who view their high organization commitment. shown to possess lower turnover. 3. Autonomy in their job characteristics to positively influence one's job stress 4. Higher the job stress the higher and positively influence one's turnover.

  • 급격한 시대적 변화속에 각국은 전자정부 프로젝트를 적극 추진하고 있다. 전자정부의 리더십은 민간부문의 전자상거래나 e-Business 활성화를 위해서도 중요한 기반이 된다 (Jutra et al., 2002). 한국은 2002 년에 전자정부 핵심과제를 완료하여 기술기반 구축에 성공했다고 하나 전자정부 활용도는 23%로 31 개국 중 20 위이다 (TNS, 2002). 이러한 전자정부의 활용도를 높이기 위해 기술기반 확충, 고객 만족 측정, 맞춤식 설계, 리엔지니어링 등의 노력이 병행되고 있으나, 서진완(2000)에 의하면 네트워크 이용능력이 0점인 응답자가 26.9%, 정보탐색능력은 5점 척도로 3점 미만이다. 시민의 정보 리터러시(information literacy) 수준이 낮다면 의견수령에 의한 시스템 설계방식은 한계가 있을 것이다. 요컨대 의견수령 방식도 중요하지만, e-Business 의 경우와 마찬가지로 e-Government 에서도 모델에 의한 전략적 접근이 필요하다.(중략)

Reconceptualization of Brand Equity : Empirical Evidence (브랜드자산 형성과정의 재정립)

  • 본 연구는 기존 브랜드자산의 구성개념과 구성개념들 간의 관계 연구들을 비판적으로 검토하여 첫째, 브랜드자산의 구성개념을 재정립하여 브랜드자산을 구성하는 세부적 구성요소를 제시하고 둘째, 브랜드자산 형성과정에서 세부적 구성 요소들 간의 인과적 관계를 제시하고 셋째, 세부적 구성요소를 측정하기 위한 척도를 제시하며 넷째, 전략적 브랜드자산 구축 즉, 브랜드자산이 기업의 핵심전략으로 한 단계 더 성숙하기 위해서는 기업측면에서 어떠한 요인이 중요한가를 확인하고 이에 대한 이론적·실무적 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 브랜드자산이 기업성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 기존 연구들과 같은 견해를 가지나, 기업성과로 연결되기 위한 브랜드자산의 구성개념과 형성과정에 있어서 기존 연구의 의문점을 제기하고, 그에 따라 연구가설과 연구모형을 설정하였다. 연구모형과 연구가설을 검증하기 위하여 스포츠브랜드와 컴퓨터브랜드의 2가지 카테고리를 대상으로 설문을 배포하여 311부를 회수하였으나 불성실하게 응답한 3부를 제외하고 308부를 실증분석에 이용하였다. 연구결과 브랜드의 지각된 품질, 리더십, 인지와 연상과 브랜드자산의 관계에서 존중, 차별성, 만족, 전환장벽, 애호도가 중요한 매개적 역할을 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

A Study on the Analysis of Effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program (『4-H청소년 서울현장체험학습』 프로그램의 효과 분석 -청소년인증수련활동 효과성 측정도구를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program(4-H SFELP). The effectiveness scale of youth accredited activity was applied to analyze the effectiveness and satisfaction of the program. After screening the data, 155 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of global leadership, initiative in exchange, and understanding other cultures which are related with effectiveness of youth exchange activity. Second, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of confidence, challenge spirit, achievement motivation, and collective leadership which are related with effectiveness of youth adventure and challenge activity. Third, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of problem-solving skills, morality, other-respect, and self-respect which are related with effectiveness of youth self-improvement activity. Fourth, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of self-efficacy and autonomy but has not effects on the level of inquiring mind of participants. All these findings were discussed for youth workers and researchers.

Mediating Effect of Male Gender Role Conflict on the Relationship between Conformity to Masculine Norm and Psychological Distress (남성 규범 순응이 심리적 디스트레스에 미치는 영향: 남성 성역할 갈등을 매개로)

  • This study attempted to examine the role of gender roles in psychological distress of Korean adult men. Specifically, it was attempted to verify whether compliance with multidimensional male gender roles predicts psychological distress through gender role conflict. To this end, this study was conducted on 358 male participants aged 19 to 39 using the Korean Conformity to Masculine Norm Inventory, Korean Male Gender Role Conflict Scale, and General Health Questionnaire. As a result of the study, it was found that the influence on psychological distress through male gender role conflict was different depending on the sub-factors of the male gender norm. The sub-factors of masculine norms, 'power and control', 'job - independence', and 'emotion suppression', were statically predicted psychological distress through the medium of 'fear for femininity', which is a sub-factor of gender role conflict. Meanwhile, among the male norms, 'male leadership' and 'family support' had negative direct effects on psychological distress, and the indirect effects through gender role conflict were not significant. The results of this study suggest that the sub-factors of male norms have different functions for psychological distress, and in particular, the dysfunctional role of male norms can be caused by negative emotions about femininity during gender role conflict.

Study on consulting effect of Jahwal companies (자활기업의 컨설팅 효과에 관한 연구)

  • This study is about the effectiveness of Jahwal consulting. We analyzed 275 self-supporting participants of 58 self-supporting companies in eight wide-area self-supporting centers nationwide. After consulting by conducting a questionnaire before consulting, we conducted a questionnaire to analyze the differences. The measurement variables consisted of 3 variables and 6 subparameters. The top variables are interpersonal relationships, organizational systems, and self-help business will. The sub-elements are interaction, communication between members, horizontal leadership, organizational stability, personal suitability and developability. The questionnaire was analyzed using SPSS 21.0, frequency analysis, and t-test. The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of consulting conducted by Jahwal institutions. For this reason, we developed a measurement scale, and analyzed changes before and after consulting using that scale. As a result of the analysis, it was found that self-help consulting is effective. It was also analyzed that there was mode significance in the analysis by gender, age, region and educational background.

Students' Responses and Self-understanding in Liberal Arts and Personality Class (교양과 인성 수업에 나타난 학생들의 반응과 자기 이해)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the students' responses and self-understanding in the liberal arts and personality class, one of the compulsory liberal arts subjects at S University. The results of the study are as follows. First, the degree of influence on students' positive change in this class was higher than normal using a five-step Likert scale. In particular, as a result of the film discussion conducted by the researcher, satisfaction was very high. Second, as a result of picture test analysis, changes in coping ability through stress and resource scales were seen in the students, and it was an opportunity for students to understand themselves by looking into their minds. This study presented example of classes that can cultivate students' personality through literature, art, and video, and cultivate their qualities as global citizens, such as responsibility, leadership, cooperation, consideration, communication, and empathy, through discussion.
