Symptomatic and Clinical Profiles Across Motoric Subtypes in Delirium (섬망의 운동성 아형에 따른 증상과 임상적 특징)

  • Objectives : To investigate clinical and symptomatic differences among motoric subtypes of delirium. Methods : A total of 256 patients referred to psychiatric consultation services for delirium due to general medical condition were assessed retrospectively. Motoric subtypes were determined according to Lipowski's criteria for hyperactive, hypoactive and mixed subtypes. All patients were evaluated according to Delirium Rating Scale-Revised-98(DRS-98-R) by trained psychiatrists to obtain symptomatic profiles of delirium. Results : Hyperactive subtype were 50.8%(n=130), mixed 46.1%(n=118) and hypoactive 3.1%(n=8). Hyperactive patients were younger than mixed subtype($69.62{\pm}13.976$ vs. $73.97{\pm}11.569$, p=0.022) and received antipsychotics to manage symptoms of delirium more frequently(83.8% vs. 57.6%, p<0.001). Hyperactive patients had higher DRS-R-98 scores on both noncognitive($7.14{\pm}3.543$ for hyperactive, $5.62{\pm}3.279$ for mixed subtype) and cognitive subscales($10.00{\pm}3.574$ for hyperactive, $6.38{\pm}2.875$ for hypoactive, $7.43{\pm}3.771$ for mixed subtype, p<0.001). Conclusions : We demonstrated that clinical and symptomatic profiles were different across motoric subtypes in delirium. Diagnostic and therapeutic approach should be made differently according to motoric subtypes of delirium and special attention is needed not to underestimate or delay treatment in specific motoric subtype of delirium.

The Effect of Learning Behavior Styles on Academic Achievement and Learning Satisfaction in Tutoring Activities (튜터링 활동에서 학습행동양식이 학업성취도와 학습만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • This study aims to identify the learning behavior patterns recognized by students to find effective tutoring operational methods, and further analyze the impact of learning behavior patterns on academic performance and learning satisfaction. To this end, 105 participants in the tutoring program at D University based in Busan Metropolitan City collected data and conducted descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and regression analysis according to research problems. First, the study found that students who participated in tutoring had the most environment-dependent and self-taught learning behavioral styles and environment-independent and self-taught learning behavioral style. Second, the correlation between learning behavioral styles and academic achievement and learning satisfaction shows that there is a high correlation between positive and cooperative learning behavioral styles and environment-independent and self-taught learning behavioral styles. Third, regression analysis on academic achievement and learning satisfaction showed that positive and cooperative learning behavioral styles significantly affects learning satisfaction, but environment-independent and self-taught learning behavioral style, environment-dependent and self-taught learning behavioral style, and passive learning behavioral style were not significant. These results suggest that from the school perspective, learning behavior can be recognized as an important factor in students' academic success and failure, so instructors need to check learners' learning behavior patterns and provide appropriate tutoring teaching and learning design plans.

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차의 여러 모드 사이에 존재하는 연성항의 비연성을 위한 능동 제어력을 계산하여 연성항이 승차감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이 연성항을 비 연성화하기 위한 제어력을 계산하였으며, 현가장치의 반능동 제어에 적용하였다. 또 한 새로운 민감도 이론식을 제안하여 7자유도 현가계에 적용하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 특성변화예측을 하였다.

Semantic Information Retrieval Based on User-Word Intelligent Network (U-WIN 기반의 의미적 정보검색 기술)

  • The criterion which judges an information retrieval system performance is to how many accurately retrieve an information that the user wants. The search result which uses only homograph has been appears the various documents that relates to each meaning of the word or intensively appears the documents that relates to specific meaning of it. So in this paper, we suggest semantic information retrieval technique using relation within User-Word Intelligent Network(U-WIN) to solve a disambiguation of query In our experiment, queries divide into two classes, the homograph used in terminology and the general homograph, and it sets the expansion query forms at "query + hypemym". Thus we found that only web document search's precision is average 73.5% and integrated search's precision is average 70% in two portal site. It means that U-WIN-Based semantic information retrieval technique can be used efficiently for a IR system.

A Study about Transitional Modulations in Jazz Music (재즈 음악내의 일시적 전조에 관한 연구)

  • It seems like many songs have the tonality of one key in jazz standards, but there are many cases in which more than one new key could be formed, despite being a short moment. Moreover, some songs contain keys of temporary changes many times in the event that keys are changed transitionally with the sequencing of cords many times, which is called 'Transitional Modulation with Sequences. The proceeding II-V-I of the major and minor keys are used as the sequencing of cords, and the most popular type in this sequencing pattern is the downward modulation in whole-steps or half-steps. The downward modulation in the interval of whole-steps is a useful technique; for example, there should be three compositions in the adjacency circumstances when it is used twice. We could express effectively a phenomenon that feelings go up to the climax and rapidly fall down. The downward modulation in half-steps must be more dramatic because a higher comparative aspect is made between the adjacent two keys.

The New-Institutionalism Perspective for Long-term Care Service Evaluation System (노인 장기요양기관에 대한 현행 평가제도가 조직구조 및 활동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to interpret how the long-term care evaluation system implements in the actual service settings with institutional isomorphism and decoupling based on new-institutional theory. This study conducted in-depth interview with employees engaged in 7 long term care service facilities. Directed qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the data. As a result, unlike the intention of the long-term care evaluation system to improve the efficiency of the organization by market competition, it found that organizations forcibly adapted a evaluation system to rely on government's resources and it results in isomorphism phenomena which is similar between organizations. This results confirmed that the evaluation system has implemented in the direction of enhancing the government's role to standardize and institutionalize the long-term care service rather than improving the efficiency of the organization by market competition. This study also partially found the phenomenon of decoupling between organizational formal structure accompanied by isomorphism and real behaviors. These results suggest that it is required to improve government's evaluation indicators on the issue of inefficiency caused by dual structure of organizations. In addition, this study proposes that government's evaluation index which is reflected the characteristics of care service is necessary for operating.

Improvement of Korean Homograph Disambiguation using Korean Lexical Semantic Network (UWordMap) (한국어 어휘의미망(UWordMap)을 이용한 동형이의어 분별 개선)

  • Disambiguation of homographs is an important job in Korean semantic processing and has been researched for long time. Recently, machine learning approaches have demonstrated good results in accuracy and speed. Other knowledge-based approaches are being researched for untrained words. This paper proposes a hybrid method based on the machine learning approach that uses a lexical semantic network. The use of a hybrid approach creates an additional corpus from subcategorization information and trains this additional corpus. A homograph tagging phase uses the hypernym of the homograph and an additional corpus. Experimentation with the Sejong Corpus and UWordMap demonstrates the hybrid method is to be effective with an increase in accuracy from 96.51% to 96.52%.

  • As the Internet environment develops, data-analysis-based applications have been widely and extensively used in the past decade. However, these applications potentially have a privacy problem in that users' personal information may be leaked to unauthorized parties. To tackle such a problem, researchers have suggested several techniques including data perturbation and cryptography. The homomorphic encryption algorithm is a relatively new cryptography technology that allows arithmetic operations for encrypted values as it is without decryption. Since original values are not required, we believe that this method provides better privacy protection than other existing solutions. In this work, we propose to apply a homomorphic encryption algorithm that protects personal information while enabling data analysis.

  • Various cryptographic technologies have been proposed from ancient times and are developing in various ways to ensure the confidentiality of information. Due to exponentially increasing computer power, the encryption key is gradually increasing for security. Technology are being developed; however, security is guaranteed only in a short period of time. With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, encryption technology is required in various fields. Recently, encryption technology using homomorphic encryption has attracted attention. Security threats arise due to the exposure of keys and plain texts used in the decryption processing for the operation of encrypted information. The homomorphic encryption can compute the data of the cipher text and secure process the information without exposing the plain text. When using the homomorphic encryption in processing big data like stored personal information in various services, security threats can be avoided because there is no exposure to key usage and decrypted information.
