This study aims to explore the collaborative methods between ceramic art and participatory art, expanding the scope of activities for ceramic artists. The research clarifies that ceramic art, as a medium of participatory art, can play a significant role in expanding artistic expression and enhancing social functions. This contributes to modern individuals' self-awareness and the formation of community culture, promoting social change. To this end, the study applies the participatory art methodologies of Grant Kester and Claire Bishop to analyze the role of ceramic art in participatory art. Specifically, by examining the ceramic works of artists, the study discusses the contributions of ceramic art as a medium of participatory art in researching social issues and promoting social change. Furthermore, the collaboration between ceramic art and participatory art also contributes to expanding the expressive boundaries of ceramic works.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the historical background and characteristics of pop art style and motif expressions in the works of artists by analyzing the theoretical study of pop art and analyze how the expression characteristics are applied to ceramic works. As a result of the analysis of the work, various images of everyday objects in popular culture are expressed in various ways such as bright and colorful colors, silk screen, lettering, photo montage, cartoon expression, object, collage, decoupage, It is believed that the art of ceramics will be created as a creative work that reinterprets the artistic value rather than reproducing the art based on the technique of pop art. Postmodernism has blurred the line between design and art. We would like to suggest a design case that took diversity in the modern era that harmonizes functionality and shape of the top board of a furniture and trend of the role of furniture and objet into consideration. This study aims to project a new role into space via convergence of objet that has aesthetic function and furniture design that plays practical role in space. Thus, furniture design attempts to combine ceramic and carpentry and demonstrate the value and potential the combination possesses. By creating a distinct design from previous furniture that had visual limitations with ceramic bridge that adopted existing piling method in ceramic design, we expect a fresh blend of furniture and space that encompasses a different sensation from color and texture of soil and glaze, unable to attain from simple wood.

This study is an primary analysis on convergence of porcelain lacquer painting art which is composed of porcelain art and raw lacquer technic. As a part of ceramic art, this study suggest 3 ways of porcelain lacquer decoration with understanding of its history and contemporary status. Lacquer technic gives stability for surface paintings and it also has various media to express its beauty. Porcelain lacquer decoration art contains artistic value and pragmatic purpose for daily life usage. These days, due to unavailability for mass production, it tends to be tried for art work purposes. However this artistic technic and value can be applied to porcelain goods, so that it will raise aesthetic pleasure and cultural diversity.

The purpose of this study is to review the influence of 3D printing technology on the formability and artistic value of ceramic works through a theoretical review of 3D printing technology and a case study of ceramic works that incorporate them creatively. Thus, the following conclusions were drawn from the analysis of the ceramic works of seven artists and two design teams. First, digital production that incorporates 3D printing technology into works can be applied to data applications and changes, unlike the existing manual methods, and the artist's unique creative artwork is possible. Second, a new paradigm has emerged that expresses the new material, method, advanced digital technology, and more stereoscopic and colorful sculptures out of the traditional ceramic concepts. In the future, I hope to find new methodology that meets the developing digital technology through continuous research and utilization of 3D printing and realizing new value of ceramic design.

Modern ceramics art has various expression techniques. Among them, the digitization of modern society has led to the development of the transfer printing technique, and the technique of transfer printing has been utilized as medium of expression of modern ceramics. However, the transfer printing technique is merely uniform and does not give enough information to utilize the artistic expression of the craftsmen using the technique of decal rather than actively utilizing it in the field for mass production. Therefore. In this paper, we will examine the works of contemporary pottery artists who understand the meaning of the transfer printing technique and express the artist 's personality and artistry with transfer printing technique, so that the transfer printing technique can enhance the aesthetic and artistic effect of ceramic art as the expression medium of modern ceramics. We want to lay the foundations for a higher value-added industry.

Modern ceramics is exploring the expansion of the area with various expression techniques. The silhouette technique among various expressive decoration techniques is a representative expression technique of object form expression. This emphasizes the outline of the form and expresses it and omits the inner form. It gives simplicity and intensity, and awakens aesthetic sensibility and imagination. Therefore, the researcher designed the material related to the core image of the story by designing it as a silhouette technique by using the "Acorn Story" as a subject and then making the transfer paper by using the vector graphic. The transferred paper was expressed on a ceramic plate by transferring technique. Therefore, I hope that this research, beyond the merely decorative function of ceramic expression, will become a ceramic design that will awaken imagination and aesthetic sensibility in digital information age.
