Abstract
This study aims to explore the collaborative methods between ceramic art and participatory art, expanding the scope of activities for ceramic artists. The research clarifies that ceramic art, as a medium of participatory art, can play a significant role in expanding artistic expression and enhancing social functions. This contributes to modern individuals' self-awareness and the formation of community culture, promoting social change. To this end, the study applies the participatory art methodologies of Grant Kester and Claire Bishop to analyze the role of ceramic art in participatory art. Specifically, by examining the ceramic works of artists, the study discusses the contributions of ceramic art as a medium of participatory art in researching social issues and promoting social change. Furthermore, the collaboration between ceramic art and participatory art also contributes to expanding the expressive boundaries of ceramic works.
본 연구는 도자 예술과 참여 예술의 협력 방식을 탐구하여 도예가의 활동 영역을 확장하는 것을 목표로 한다. 본 연구는 도자 예술이 참여 예술의 매체로서 예술 표현을 확대하고 사회 기능을 강화하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 수있음을 명확히 했다. 이는 현대인의 자아 인식과 문화향유, 공동체 문화 형성에 도움이 되며, 사회 변화를 촉진할 수있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 그랜트 키스터와 클레어 비숍의 참여 예술 방법론을 적용하여 도자 예술이 참여 예술에서 어떤 역할을 하는지를 분석하였다. 특히 예술가의 도자 작품을 예로 들어 도자 예술이 사회 문제를 연구하고 사회 변화를 촉진하는 과정에서 참여 예술의 매체로서 어떤 기여를 할 수 있는지 논의하였고 도자 예술과 참여 예술의 협력을 알아보는 중요한 의미를 가진다.
