Exploring Teaching and Learning Supporting Strategies based on Effect Recognition and Continuous Intention in College Flipped Learning (대학 플립드 러닝의 효과인식과 계속의향에 기초한 교수학습 지원전략 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore supporting strategies for teaching and learning based on students' effect recognition and continuous intention in college flipped learning. It was analyzed 426 data by multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) by examining student's effect recognition and continuous intention on 15 flipped learning classes of K-university in Chungnam. The characteristics of learners were male, senior students, students who knew flipped learning, students who did not have previous experience, and students who were learning video at anytime. As a teaching strategy, it was found that effect recognition and continuous intention were high in the supplementary deepening flipped learning class and natural science or engineering area. As a teaching and learning supporting strategies, First, the university should develop and operate flipped class learning strategy program for females and low-grade students. Second, it should support the development of good flipped learning design and operation model of instructor. Third, it should support the development of high quality online learning contents that students can learn from time to time. Fourth, it should support the strengthening of teaching competency to develop and operate flipped learning classes. This study can be used as basic data to support and spread the effective flipped learning classes of the university in the future.

A Study on Learning Model of Connected Program between High School and University : Focus on Experiment of Information Technology Media Studies (고교-대학 연계 프로그램의 학습형 모델 연구 : 미디어정보통신계열 학과의 경험을 중심으로)

  • As the Learning Model (offered major course) of the connected program between high school and college, we conducted a customized education model for second grade high school students with regard to IT. Being based on the latest major trend and practical training within a given period this model has derived the high level of interest and participation from the students. First of all, the first program has focused on the theory and practice. In case of the theory lecture, the new knowledge and practical experiences attracted students' interests. Secondly, the second program mainly consisted of practical training. The basic knowledge through first learning program enabled the students to follow the second course for advanced experiences as well as the variety of new technology. Finally, the survey and evaluation were carried out on the students who finished programs. Most of the students gave answers that both the theory classes and customized practical training were helpful in finding their major and career exploration. The Learning Model of the connected program between high school and college showed that it can be useful not only to extract students' potential ability and good talent but also for university selection and career choices.

Effect of Spanish Classes on Academic Achievement on Strengthening Learner-centered Communication (학습자중심 소통 강화 스페인어 수업이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study attempted to investigate academic achievement and cooperative ability as problem-based learning to strengthen communication in Spanish courses. 70 learners taking Spanish at A University from September to December, 2021 were divided into an experimental and a control class to examine their academic achievement and cooperate ability. Academic achievement was not statistically significant, but the sub-area of communication was significant as 0.031 (*p<.05) and the cooperative ability of the experimental group, the average was increased, but it was not statistically significant. Based on this study, continuous follow-up research to develop teaching methods and teaching and learning models suitable for strengthening Spanish communication through various learner-centered convergence teaching methods will contribute to fostering talent desired by the 21st century.

  • This study aims to develop a curriculum that effectively applies gamification in educational settings by analyzing the theoretical principles of gamification and various educational techniques. The course titled "Understanding and Application of Gamification" was developed and conducted in a mixed online/offline format, including practical activities where students developed and presented their own gamification strategies. The results showed high participation rates and positive evaluations from students, attributed to increased voluntary engagement and the cultivation of creative problem-solving skills through game-based exercises. This gamification education model can be applied to various educational contexts, and future research should focus on continuous improvement through additional educational cases. Gamification education is expected to foster integrative thinking across various fields and enhance creative problem-solving skills for addressing social issues. Moreover, such classroom activities will promote voluntary and active participation in classes, and motivate both internal and external engagement for personal goals through the gamification of social phenomena.

  • 수업시간을 이용하지 않고 인터넷을 이용하여 조사와 학생 스스로 학습할 기회와 자료를 제공하여 개념을 이해할 모델을 만들어 본다. 함수의 합성과 극한에 대한 이해도를 1차로 조사한 결과는 정답율이 7.5%에 불과하여 같은 설문지에 대해 각자 공부하고 대답하도록 2차 조사를 하고, 함수의 합성과 합성함수의 극한에 대해 개념의 이해를 도우려고 그래프를 이용한 자료를 수집하여 확실하고 쉽게 이해할 기회를 제공하며 새로운 교수-학습 방법을 개발한다.

동화를 활용한 《중국어강독》 수업 방안 연구 - 대학의 경우를 중심으로

  • This paper presented a course plan based on the ideas I gained from conducting a lecture on Chinese language for students in the second semester of the Chinese language department at a four-year university. In the paper, we sought to deviate from the traditional grammar-translation teaching style and find ways for students to enjoy learning without difficulty in all areas by using the 'total language approach' such as writing, speaking, listening and reading through reading skills. Therefore, we discussed the educational significance and expression of the 'Chinese Languages' class, and introduced the class stages and methods of progress. In other words, they suggested introduction of text plots, explanation of vocabulary and grammar, presentation of original text, questions about text, arrangement of words, ordering sentences to fit the plot, and understanding the plot while looking at the picture.

U-Learning of 21 Century University Education Paradigm (21세기 대학교육 패러다임의 U-Learning)

  • This paper presents a model of e-learning based on ubiquitous computing configuration. First of all, we survey the advanced e-learning systems for foreign and domestic universities. Next we propose the optimal e-learning model based on ubiquitous computing configuration. The proposed e-learning model as following. we propose the e-learning system's hardware and software configurations, that are server and networking systems. Also, we construct the proposed e-learning systems's services. There are attendance and absence service, class management service, common knowledge service, score processing service, facilities management service, personal management service, personal authorization issue management service, campus guide service, lecture-hall management service. Then we propose the laboratory equipment management service, experimental materials management service etc. The proposed model of e-learning based on ubiquitous computing configuration will be able to contribute to the next generation university educational paradigm.

  • Teaching and learning research is essential to prepare for the era of the 4th industrial revolution. We must strengthen the creative educational capabilities of prospective teachers by improving the curriculum and teaching-learning model of teacher training colleges. Future education should foster creative thinking based on communication and collaboration. In this study, we improved the future teaching and learning model and applied it to actual classes. In addition, we verified the effectiveness by conducting pre- and post-surveys on the capabilities of future creative teachers. The survey consists of common satisfaction questions and questions about future creative teacher capabilities. As a result of the analysis, we confirmed that the capacity of future creative teachers increased.

Application Plan of Flip Learning Using Practical Instruction in Algorithm Theory (알고리즘 이론과목에서 실기수업을 적용한 플립러닝 활용방안)

  • Recently, the rapid development and development of the industrial environment has changed the talent that companies need. As the educational paradigm changes, the university education should complement the problems of the lecture education method (the existing knowledge transfer method) in order to cultivate the talents needed for the corporation. In order to improve self - directed and creative problem - solving ability, new teaching and learning methods are needed. In this study, we apply flip learning in the algorithm class which is an essential curriculum of computer engineering. This group is divided into groups that are combined with theoretical and practical lessons, and groups that have applied theoretical lessons by applying flip learning, and groups that employ traditional lecture techniques. To improve learner's learning motivation and academic achievement, we propose a flip learning teaching method suitable for the algorithm subject and apply it directly to the class. Based on the results, we compare and analyze the academic achievement and learning satisfaction of learners.

The Effects of Mathematics-Centered STEAM Program on Mathematical Modeling Ability of First Grade Students in Middle School (수학교과 중심의 STEAM 수업 경험이 중학교 1학년 학생들의 수학적 모델링 능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted for one semester through one group pretest-posttest design with 49 first-year middle school students to explore the effects of mathematics-centered STEAM class experiences on students' mathematical modeling abilities. The main results of this study are as follows: First, the results of the pre and post-mathematical modeling ability tests showed that the average score of posttest was improved compared to the pretest, and that the experiences of mathematics-centered STEAM classes provided in this study had a positive effect on improving the mathematical modeling ability of first-year middle school students. Second, STEAM classes were more effective in solving mathematical modeling problems that require students' creative and divergent thinking. Third, the content analysis of student responses for each subquestion showed that STEAM classes were especially more helpful in activating students' mathematical model construction and validating steps.
