Vibration Transmission Characteristics due to the Variation in the Cross-section of a Waveguide (파동 유도 봉의 단면 변화에 따른 진동 전달 특성)

  • This paper presents a theoretical approach to describe the characteristics of vibration transmission in the waveguide with varying cross-section. The waveguide considered in this paper has a tapered section in the middle of an axisymmetric stepped rod. The distributions of the vibration displacement and stress along the waveguide were derived and they were verified by comparing the theoretically-calculated results with those obtained by the finite-element analysis. The vibration magnification and the concentrated stress under forced vibration were calculated for this rod according to the taper length. The paper established a theoretical basement of designing waveguides for maximizing the vibration transmission under minimum stress concentration.

  • This paper presents a theoretical approach to describe the vibration characteristics in the 1-3 piezoelectric composite arrayed on a cylindrical surface. By homogenizing the composite composed of a piezoelectric ceramic and a polymer the physically useful parameters were defined and then used to derive the governing equation of radial motion for the cylindrical 1-3 piezoelectric composite. Applying mechanical and electric boundary conditions has yielded a characteristic equation for radial vibration of the composite. Theoretical calculations of the resonance frequency have been compared with those obtained by the finite-element analysis and have shown a good agreement.

  • Structural intensity of plates experiencing bending vibration is analytically evaluated using the modal analysis based on the assumed mode method. In the analysis, material internal loss and localized damping are considered. The power obtained by structural intensity integration over the circle containing the excitation source is compared with the power injected into plates to verify the accuracy of the presented method and; to evaluate the convergence of mode superposition. The intensity integration is carried out varying the circle radius and the integral step to investigate their effects in case of the power estimation using structural intensities. In addition, the dominant component among internal forces in the energy transfer by the bending vibration of a stiffened plate is investigated.

  • The thermo-structural analysis of the solid-fuel propulsion Nozzle is studied to estimate the thermo-structural safety of the metal nozzle. The thermal load is determined to be significantly large, Because the metal nozzle in a short combustion time is directly exposed to high pressure and temperature of combustion gas. Through a analysis result, the influence of a thermal load is estimated and henceforward a design data of thruster is used.

  • Most of systems engineers make a traceability matrix and attach it to their technical documents as a result of systems engineering activities. I have been working in the field of systems engineering for many years and have been watching traceability matrices created by systems engineers or developers from various companies. I have been thinking that some of them are not suitable in terms of purposes of traceability matrix. In this paper, I would like to suggest a right template for the traceability matrix in conformance to traceability purposes. The key is that traceability matrix should be created from higher level of requirements to current level of requirements.

  • Objective : We report efficacy of Daeseunggi-tang on auditory hallucination in schizophrenia. From this, we can expect therapeutic possibility of herbal medicine chosen by 'A disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions' in schizophrenia. Methods : Daeseunggi-tang written in YangMyeong-JiWiByeong is applied to 31-year-old patient who diagnosed as schizophrenia and hospitalized for 3months taking antipsychotics. The patient was treated for a year. Results : Scores in Auditory Hallucination appended to PANSS and K-BDI were highly decreased. The patient takes no antipsychotics anymore for now. Conclusions : Auditory hallucination in Schizophrenia which needs antipsychotics can be managed by herbal medicine chosen by 'A disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions'.

일본 전기학회 전국대회 참관기

  • 우리 전기학회와 일본전기학회는 학술교류발전을 목적으로 상호방문하는 협정(1978. 9.1)에 따라, 1979년부터 양국 학회대표단이 격년으로 상호방문하고 있는데 항공료와 숙식비는 초청자부담이다. 작년 춘천에서의 우리 학회 91하계학술대회에는 일본저기학회를 대표하여 미출부회장(일본전력중앙연구소 기획상무이사)이하 3명이 내방하였고 금년에는 우리가 방문할 차례였다. 일본은 전기학회전국대회를 매년 3월하순-4월초순사이에 개최한느데 개최지는 한번은 동경에서, 다음해는 지방에서 하므로 우리는 공교롭게도 항상 동경대회때에만 방문하게 된다. 이번은 3월35일(수)부터 3월27일(금)까지 3일간 천엽공업대학에서 개최되었는데 일본측 초정으로 황영문학회장이하 이덕출재무이사, 진동신사무국장, 조사이사인등 4명이 참관하게 되었다.

  • To investigate the affection of lumped mass and spring on the vibration power flow of cross-stiffened plate experiencing bending vibration, structural intensity analysis is done using the modal analysis based on assumed mode method. The numerical analysis is carried out varying the mass and spring constant and their attached positions. The results show that both the spring and the mass may cause to large variation of not only vibratory displacement but also vibratory power flow patterns in case of little change of natural frequencies, and the attachments near to excitation location can effectively reduce the magnitude of maximum structural intensity.

  • 지난 11월8일부터 11일까지 일산 킨텍스 전시장에서는 국내 최대 게임쇼 '지스타 2007'이 개최되었다. 올해로 3회째를 맞는 '지스타'는 14개국 150개 업체가 참가하고 총 15만명 관람객이 전시장을 찾았다. 또 500여명의 해외 바이어가 찾는 등 전시운영과 성과에서는 성공적이라는 평가를 받았다. 하지만 참가업체와 규모가 점점 작아진다는 지적과 온라인게임에 치중된 전시라는 고질적인 문제점을 들어내기도 했다. 이번 '지스타'전시회에 자판기 관련 품목 업체들도 참가를 진행했다. '자판기가 왜 게임 전시회에 참여를 하나?' 의아해 하는 사람들도 있을 것이다. 하지만 어뮤즈먼트 성격이 강한 자판기의 경우 게임장 로케이션까지 포함하려 하기 때문에 '지스타'전시회에 참가하는 것이다. 이번 전시회에 참가한 자판기 관련 업체는 대승인터컴, 디게이트, 빅코인전자정밀, 골든퓨쳐테크놀로지 등을 들 수 있다. 이들 업체에서 새롭게 선보인 자판기 품목들을 살펴봤다.

  • The fault detection and diagnosis of rotating machinery widely used in plants including the ship are important for maintaining the performance of Plants. Recently, the wavelet transform has been recognized an efficient method to detect a little variation of physical quantities by the synchronous localization of time and frequency domains using the translation and dilation of signals. In this Paper, In order to develop efficient and reliable fault detection and diagnosis system rotating machines, the performance of wavelet transformation to detect a little variation of machine status and neural network to diagnose the cause of machine faults are investigated and experimented.
