Incremental Techniques for Timing Analysis Considering Timing and Circuit Structure Changes (지연시간과 회로 구조 변화를 고려한 증가적 타이밍 분석)

  • In this paper, we present techniques which perform incremental timing analysis using Timed Boolean Algebra that solves the false path problem and extracts the timing information in combinational circuits. Our algorithm sets histories of internal inputs that are substituted for internal output and extracts maximal delays through checking sensitizability of primary outputs. Once finding the sum of primitive delay terms, then it applies modified delay with referencing histories of primary output and it can extract maximal delays of primary outputs fast and efficiently. When the structure of circuit is changed, there is no need to compute the whole circuit again. We can process partial timing analysis of computing on the gates that are need to compute again. These incremental timing analysis methods are considered both delay changes and structure of circuit, and can reduce the costs of a trial error in the circuit design.

The Effects of Radiation Therapy on Peripheral Lymphocytes in Head and Neck Cancers (방사선 치료가 두경부 악성종양 환자의 말초혈액 림프구에 미치는 영향)

  • It is generally agreed that cellular immune functions are damaged by radiation therapy(RT). However, the exact effects of RT on peripheral lymphocytes are not yet clear. Authors previously reported the radiation effects on lymphocytes subpopulations, but these results merely showed the alteration of proportion of lymphocytes subpopulations after RT. So we try to evaluate the number of lymphocytes in each subpopulations as well as the proportion of subpopulations, and the recovery patterns of these alterations by time duraion after RT. The result shows that the proportion of subpopulations and number of lymphocytes in each subpopulations are decreased after RT except natural killer cells(NK cells), which proportion is increased but number is not changed, and these changes are stationary continued for post RT 6 months and then gradually recovered. However, the radiation effects on peripheral lymphocytes still remain after one year.

  • In current endodontic practice, introduction of operating microscope, ultrasonic instruments, and microinstruments has induced a big change in the field of surgical retreatment. In this study, we aimed to offer key steps of endodontic microsurgery procedure compared with traditional root-end surgery, and to evaluate factors influencing success and failure based on published articles. Endodontic microsurgery is a surgical procedure performed with the aid of a microscope, ultrasonic instruments and modern microsurgical instruments. The microscope provides magnification and illumination - essential for identifying minute details of the apical anatomy. Ultrasonic instruments facilitate the precise root-end preparation that is within the anatomical space of the canal. Modern endodontics can therefore be performed with precision and predictability, thus eliminating the disadvantages inherent in traditional periapical surgery such as large osteotomy, beveled apicoectomy, inaccurate root-end preparation and the inability to observe isthmus. Factors influencing the outcomes of endodontic microsurgery may be diverse, but standardization of procedures can minimize its range. Among patient and tooth-related factors, periodontal status and tooth position are known to be prognostic, but there are only few articles concerning this matter. High-evidence randomized clinical trials or prospective cohort studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Exploring Secondary Students' Progression in Group Norms and Argumentation Competency through Collaborative Reflection about Small Group Argumentation (소집단 논변활동에 대한 협력적 성찰을 통한 중학생들의 소집단 규범과 논변활동 능력 발달 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore secondary students' progression in group norms and argumentation competency through collaborative reflection about small group argumentation. The progression is identified as the development of group norms and an epistemic understanding of argumentation with the enhancement of group argumentation competency during collaborative reflection and argumentation lessons. Participants were four first grade middle school students who have different academic achievements and learning approaches. They participated in ten argumentation lessons related to photosynthesis and in seven collaborative reflections. As a result, the students' group norms related to participation were developed, and the students' epistemic understanding of argumentation was enhanced. Furthermore, the students' group argumentation competencies, identified as argumentation product and argumentation process, were advanced. As the collaborative reflection and argumentation lessons progressed, statements related to rebuttal increased and different students suggested a range of evidence with which to justify their claims or to rebut others' arguments. These findings will give a better idea of how to present an apt application of argumentation to science teachers and science education researchers.

  • Primary teeth and the permanent successor must be understood as interdependent units, where each one of them interacts with and depends upon the other. The spread of pulpal inflammation in primary teeth to the periradicular tissues can lead to early eruption, enamel hypoplasia or hypocalcification, developmental arrest of permanent successor. Also the periapical inflammation cause permanent tooth displacement in various direction. We describe here two clinical cases of displaced permanent successor caused by periapical lesion of mandibular primary molar in children.

  • 무선 Ad-Hoc 네트워크를 위한 대부분의 라우팅 프로토콜들은 모든 링크가 양방향임을 가정하고 설계되었다. 그러나 현실적으로 Ad-Hoc 네트워크에 참여하는 노드들은 서로 다른 전송 파워를 가질 수 있고, 잡음 또는 간섭 등으로 인하여 지역적이고 일시적인 단 방향 링크를 야기시킬 수 있다. 기존 Ad-Hoc 라우팅 프로토콜 중의 하나인 AODV 프로토콜은 단 방향 링크 존재 시에 이를 경로에서 제거함으로써 양방향 링크만으로 구성된 경로를 다시 탐색하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 단방향 링크 존재 시에 야기될 수 있는 AODV 프로토콜의 문제점과 이를 해결하기 위한 기존 연구들을 소개하고, 나아가서 단?향 링크 존재 시에 적용할 수 있는 AODV 프로토콜을 변형한 라우팅 알고리즘을 제안한다.

층화유한모집단 평균에 대한 경험적 베이즈 추정

  • 초모집단(superpopulation)으로 부터 반복적으로 유한모집단을 추출할 때, 이미 조사된 자료들을 이용하면 현재의 유한모집단 모수들을 ㄷ더 효율적으로 추정할 수 있다. 이러한 문제에 대하여 Ericson(1969)이 유한모집단 표본추출에서 베이지안 분석을 하였고, Ghosh와 Meeden(1986)은 정규 초모집단을 가정하여 유한모집단 평균의 경험적 베이즈 추정을 하였다. Nandram과 Sedransk (1993)는 Ghosh와 Meeden(1986)의 유한모집단들의 분산이 모두 같다는 가정들을 완화하여 유한집단 평균의 경험적 베이즈 추정을 하였다. 본 연구는 Nandram과 Sedransk의 결과를 층과표본추출의 경우로 일반화 하였다.

  • 전형적인 단순 유전자 알고리즘은 한 개의 모집단으로 구성되며, 진화 과정이 거듭되면 모집단의 개체들은 한 개의 전역해로 수렴하게 된다. 그러나, 많은 문제들은 여러 개의 최적해를 가질 수 있으며, 그것들 모두를 찾는 것이 중요한 경우가 많다. 이 논문에서는 모집단을 원환체(Torus)로 구성하고 개체에 이웃의 개념을 부여하여 모집단이 최적해 집단으로 수렴하는 유전자 알고리즘의 변형을 연구한다. 제안한 방법은 개체사이에 이웃이라는 개념을 부여함으로써 다수의 해를 동시에 찾는다는 생각을 넘어서 다양한 변형 유전자 알고리즘에 대한 새로운 모델이 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • The two degree of freedom model is proposed to study the effects of imperfect fixing at the active end of spring-top resonant column apparatus. A computer program using the SYMPHONY spreadsheet is developed to calculate the dimensionless frequency, F, from which modulug can be determined. It is found that the effect of reaction mass through the parameter Tr on dimensionless frequency, F, can not be ignored if Tr$\leq$20. As To increases, the variation of F increases. But for Tr$\geq$ 20, the effect of To becomes small. It is recommended that T. be greater than 20 if single degree of freedom model is rosed to determine modulus of soil. It also is found that damping ratios of specimen and apparatus do not strongly affect the dimensionless frequency, F.
