Disappearence of the trichlorfon (Dipterex) in the forest, following aerial to control Agelastica coerulea B., were studied by sampling deposits on slide glasses, soils, water, and leaves, and analysing with a gas chromatograph equipped with an electron capture detector. By analysing the amount remained on slide glasses, it was shown that the pesticide was adequately sprayed and nearly all deposit was lost in a day. The amount deposited under the tree was about 1/100 of the amount at an exposed site. Concentration of trichlorfon in creek water was 10 to 100 times as high as the acute toxic level to zooplankton for 6 to 24 hours, The rain could recontaminate the stream water up to the toxic level. Loss rate of trichlorfon from soils showed variations by sampling sites and was generally slower than from slide glasses. Amount deposited on leaves were less than the calculated or expected amount. The loss from leaves were similar to that from soil.

Jeju where concentrates on agriculture and tourism, conversion of outdoor culture into cultivation under structure happens actively for the purpose of increasing profit so continuous examination on house cultivation area is very important for this region. This paper is to suggest the effective image classification method using high resolution satellite image to detect the greenhouse. We carried out classification of greenhouse using the supervised classification and rule-based classification method about Formosat-2 images. Connecting result of two classification try to find accuracy improvement for greenhouse detection. Results about each classification method were calculated the accuracy by comparing with the result of visual detection. As a result, mahalanobis distance among the supervised methods was resulted in the highest detection. Also, it could be checked that detection accuracy was improved by tying with result of supervised method and result of rule-based classification. Therefore, it was expected that effective detection of greenhouse would be feasible if henceforward further study is performed in the process of connecting supervised classification and rule-based classification.

This research begins from the recognition that the Korean library OPACs have failed in reflecting the information needs of children, and especially the behavioral aspects of digital kids. Maintaining such problem recognition, this research examines the weak points and limits of Korean OPACs for digital kids, and explores the possible solutions. In details, identified at the first hand is digital kids' library use behavior, in particular, their search behavior of library OPACs. Also discussed is on the development of a new generation OPAC for digital kids. The data were collected from a survey with 545 elementary school students, in-depth interviews with 8 carefully selected students among the survey participants, and a direct observation on the children's information search process in 6 libraries.

The importance of users on library catalogs cannot be overemphasized. However little is verified about how well the users' needs have been met. The purpose of this research is to explore the characteristics and differences between user groups on library catalogs, and to draw implications for follow-up research. To the end, this research classified the users into four groups: elementary students, middle and high school students, college students, and the general public. Investigated are unique features and differences in searching behavior on library catalogs between the four groups. The data was collected through a survey with 544 users, and analyzed for both frequency test and Chi-square test. The major research results shows that there were statistically meaningful differences between the four groups. Also discussed are several suggestions for more in-depth research.

Selective COX (cyclooxygenase)-2 inhibitors including celecoxib have been shown to induce apoptosis and cell cycle changes in various tumor cells. New inhibitors are recently being developed as chemomodulating agents. We evaluated celecoxib and screened 150 synthetic compounds for anti-proliferative activities in vitro. Effects of celecoxib on COX activity, cell growth, cell cycle distribution, and apoptosis induction were determined in A549 COX-2 overexpressing human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. The COX inhibition of celecoxib increased with concentration up to 82% at $1\;{\mu}M$ after 24 hr exposure. Forty ${\mu}M$ and $50\;{\mu}M$ of ce1ecoxib induced $G_1$ arrest, and TUNEL-positive apoptotic cells, respectively. Among 150 compounds, several compounds were selected for having greater COX-2 inhibitory activity and higher selectivity than celecoxib with growth inhibitory activity. Celecoxib showed concentration-dependent COX inhibitory activity, and ability to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in human NSCLC cells in vitro. Among synthetic analogues screened, several compounds showed promising in vitro activity as COX-2 inhibitory anticancer agents, which warrant further evaluation in vitro and in vivo.

The social media paradigm centered on videos continues to deepen due to the diversification of 5G devices, high-definition and immersive SNS. The purpose of this study is to propose various utilization strategies and measures through the analysis of the current status of YouTube channel operation and provided contents operated in public libraries. In this study, 44 libraries in Korea that have opened and operated Library YouTube Channel and 12 libraries that actively utilize library YouTube channels with more than 1,000 subscribers were surveyed for the current status of subscribers, views, video count data, and contents and delivery methods of Library YouTube Channel. Based on the analysis results, the library's YouTube channel was proposed to utilize the library's YouTube channel, 1) to secure the specificity and purpose of the library's YouTube channel, 2) to promote and enhance access to the YouTube channel, 3) to improve the YouTube channel to user-friendly interface, 5) to plan and provide library expertise and educational contents, 6) to operate the integrated YouTube channel, and 7) to provide user-based content.

This study aims to discover the relations between physical activities of the elderly and their health-related quality of life. For the study, it targeted 720 of the 778 elderly persons whose ages were above 65 for a final analysis except 58 whose physical activities and health-related quality of life could not be evaluated from the data of the first year of the 4th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES IV-1), 2007. As a result, it was discovered that there were significant differences in the elderly's health-related quality of life according to age, education, sleeping hours, stress, the number of chronic diseases and subjective awareness of health. In particular, there were significant differences in their health-related quality of life between the group with high physical activity level and the group with low physical activity level. Based on the results above, it is suggested that the persons with higher performance ability of physical activities can have higher quality of living along with increase of energy and further studies dealing with more factors, ranges and periods are needed.

This study intends to implement a OPAC prototype for digital kids. To the end, this study applies prototyping techniques that design, evaluate and improve an early sample model. Included in this study are as follows: (1) design a conceptual model of new OPACs based on the information need analysis of digital kids, (2) implement a OPAC prototype with WordPress 4.2 version, (3) evaluate the prototype OPAC from the viewpoint of digital kids and children librarians, and finally, (4) suggest the improved model and implementational strategies for kid's OPAC. 6 fourth and fifth graders in the elementary school and 5 children librarians in public libraries participate in the final evaluation process.

This study was to suggest the directions of and the choice of the authorized access points for Korean Cataloging Rules, based on the trends of the international cataloging and the need of rules for the authorized access points in KCR. The Literature review, the case study, and the interviewing were used as the research methods. In the literature review, the Authorized access points were reviewed in FRBR conceptual model, International cataloging Principle 2009, and Resource Description and Access. VIAF authorized access points were analyzed as case study. Last interview was executed with the representative librarians in 4 University libraries. Through these surveys, new directions and rules of the authorized access points for KCR were suggested. This study could contributed to construct work and expression authorized access points of FRBR, and to set up the selection rules of the authorized access points for KCR.

This study aims to discuss cataloging on multicultural collection in Korean libraries. Especially, this study emphasized to derive a lesson of immeasurable value from the cataloging experience in International Children's Library at Asia School. To the end, (1) comprehensive literature survey and analysis were conducted to introduce the discussion on cataloging for multicultural or multilingual collection, (2) the cataloging examples were examined comprehensively (the data needed were collected by public, academic and nonofficial libraries in Korea, as well as several libraries in North America), and finally (3) cataloging policy and practices for multicultural collection were suggested on the basis of the experience in International Children's Library at Asia School.
