A Watchman route with Minimum links in the Weakly Visible Polygons (약 가시성 다각형에서 최소 링크를 가진 경비원 경로)

  • The watchman routes which an watchman patrols the interior of given polygon moving along the route are classified to minimum length or minimum links. The watchman route with minimum links has minimum changes of direction and a weakly visible polygon consists of two chains which have mutually weakly visibility. In this paper, we present an Ο($n^2$) time algorithm for finding the watchman route with minimum links in the weakly visible polygons, where n is the number of vertices of a given polygon.

Influence of Internal Competency on the Job Satisfaction Based on General Hospital (종합병원 내부역량이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship between internal capabilities and job satisfaction using the 7S model and propose measures to improve management performance through internal factors. For this study, seven research hypotheses were set up, and the survey conducted among members of all professions working in general hospitals in small and medium-sized cities in the provinces. From September 20 to October 20, 2016, 385 people were surveyed, and 327 pieces of data (84.9%) used for the study. Multiple regression analyses were performed to verify the effects of internal capabilities on job satisfaction. The analysis results showed that the explanatory power of the research model was suitable by showing 69.1%, and among the 7S factors, the leadership style (β=.392**), the organizational structure (β=.129*), the membership (β=.232**), and the management technique (β=.204*) showed a positive influence on job satisfaction. That has been confirmed to affect job satisfaction as the standardized factor values increase. Relationships between strategies, systems, and shared values on job satisfaction could not be identified. Significantly observed in the relationship between some internal capacity factors and job satisfaction is that internal capacity can be used as an alternative to an organization's performance improvement measures. Internal capacity can be affected by various environmental variables, such as establishment classification, size, and location. Further implications will also be provided for measuring future internal satisfaction levels separately from internal and external factors.

  • It is generally defined that the trust between members are relayed on the belief of ability and support. The purpose of this study is to make sure that participative decision making effects on productivity of group based on that cooperative relationship could bring the productive improvement. As the results, we could figure out that satisfiable rate of performance feedback and open communication are related with the productivity Especially, an administrative group based on the mutual trust, can meet the level of customer's satisfaction and cultural multiplicity. Setting up the mutual trust is to maximize the ability of members and to derive the motivation of working concentration.

  • A weakly visible polygon is an n-gon in the plane and consists of two mutually weakly visible chains. In this paper, we present an $O(n^2)$ time algorithm that finds a shortest watchman route among the routes with minimum links where a watchman patrols the inside of weakly visible polygons.

  • The leakage of sensitive information by an insider within the organization becomes a serious threat nowadays. Sometimes, these insider threats are more harmful to an organization than external attack. Companies cannot afford to continue ignoring the potential of insider attacks. The purpose of this study is to design an integrated log analysis system that can detect various types of information leakages. The system uses threat rules generated through risk analysis, and monitors every aspect of the online activities of authorized insider. Not only should system have the ability to identify abnormal behavior, they should also be able to predict and even help to prevent potential risk. The system is composed of three modules, which are log collector, log analyzer and report generator.

  • This study was carried out for the purpose of inquiring into the effect of composition and security activities for information security architecture on information asset protection and organizational performance in terms of general information security. This study made a survey on 300 workers in the government, public institutions and private companies, which it showed that management factors of risk identification and risk analysis, in general, have an usefulness to composition and security activities for information security architecture to prevent inside information leakage. And the understanding and training factors of IT architecture and its component were rejected, requiring the limited composition and security activities for information security architecture. In other words, from the reality, which most institutions and organizations are introducing and operating the information security architecture, and restrictively carrying out the training in this, the training for a new understanding of architecture and its component as an independent variable made so much importance, or it did not greatly contribute to the control or management activities for information security as the generalized process, but strict security activities through the generalization of risk identification and risk analysis management had a so much big effect on the significant organizational performance.

Efficient restriction of route search area in cluster based wireless ad hoc networks (클러스터 기반 무선 애드 혹 네트워크에서의 효율적인 경로 탐색 지역 제어)

  • 애드 혹 네트워크(MANET: Mobile Ad hoc NETworks)는 기본적인 내부구조(infrastructure) 없이 노드들만으로 네트워크 망을 구성한다. 경로 탐색 정책으로 리액티브(reactive) 방식과 프로액티브(proactive) 방식이 있는데, 전통적으로 리액티브 방식의 성능이 더 좋은 것으로 평가된다. 그리고 두가지 방식의 장점을 취합한 하이브리드(hybrid) 방식의 클러스터 토폴로지(cluster topology) 도입에 관한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그 중, HCR(Hybrid Cluster Routing)이 제안되었는데, 이는 프로액티브 방식에 보다 중심을 둔 기법이다. HCR 은 리액티브 방식 경로 탐색 방법인 플라딩(flooding)의 탐색 지역을 한정된 범위로 제한할 수 있으나, 프로액티브 방식의 전체 네트워크 구성 정보 유지에 따른 막대한 오버헤드를 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 오버헤드를 줄이기 위해, 클러스터 내부 경로 탐색 기법인 MICF(Maginot path based Intra Cluster Flooding)를 제안한다. MICF 는 HCR 을 개선한 FSRS(First Search and Reverse Setting) 기반의 기법으로서, 클러스터 내부의 마지노 패스(maginot path)를 기준으로 경로 탐색 지역을 제한한다. MICF 는 게이트웨이(gateway) 간 최단 거리가 항상 클러스터 헤드(cluster head)를 중점으로 원의 내각 지역에 존재함을 바탕으로 하며, 최단 경로의 보장과 플라딩 지역 제한을 동시에 만족한다. 실험 결과, MICF 는 FSRS 기반의 기존 클러스터 내부 플라딩 방식보다 총 에너지의 7.79%만큼 더 에너지를 보존하였다. 결론적으로, MICF 역시 기존의 방식보다 에너지를 더 효율적으로 사용할 수 있으며, 마지노패스 설정과 이를 기반으로 한 제어 과정에 추가적인 오버헤드가 발생하지 않는다. 그리고 플라딩 면적이 작을수록 오버헤드가 줄어들게 됨을 알 수 있다.

The Factors Affecting on the Integration Intention among the Port Authority Members in Korea (우리나라 항만공사 조직구성원들의 통합의도 및 영향요인 연구)

  • In order to solve the current problems and inefficiencies within the Port Authorities(PA) in Korea, this study introduces the concept of the integration of PA and analyses the intention of integration. This study is based on analysing the surveys participated by the members of PA. The surveys consist of six main factors which could influence the intention of integration of PA; contribution, autonomy, strategic factor, financial factor, marketing factor and environmental factor. The two main implications from this study can be categorised as follows. First, this study identifies the structural problems such as regional self-centredness of PA, obscurity of organisations' roles and their rights, limitations on diversification of business and restrictions within PA. Second, this study extensively discusses the option of improving the inefficiency whilst maintaining the current system or to switch to the integration of PA. In addition, it has been found that individual PA recognise the little need for integration. Since the results show that the strategic, financial, marketing and environmental factors would cause both significant and little significant impacts, it would be too haste to decide on a conclusion. However, it is possible to say that the rapid integration of PA can neither improve the efficiency nor improve the characteristics of each region. Therefore, the significance of integration of PA must be further discussed from many different perspectives. The results of this research will serve as a basic literature for further studies on the integration of PA in Korea. Moreover, the problems that have been identified and analysed in this study will contribute to establishing the strategy for further development of PA in Korea.

  • 최근 각 기업에는 6시그마, PI등 여러 가지 혁신 활동이 차별화 되지 않고 도입되는 경향이 있으며, 기업 내부에서도 바람직한 혁신활동 연계방안에 대해서 많은 고민을 하고 있는 실 정 임. 따라서 이러한 혁신활동을 잘 이해하고 통합할 수 있는 방안이 필요 할 것이며, 여기에서는 이것들을 연계한 경영 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 6시그마와 PI의 특징을 살펴보면, 비즈니스 리엔지니어링은 급격하게 변화하는 프로세스의 구성을 의미하는 것으로 볼 수 있으나 PI는 보다 포괄적인 개념이다. 즉, 새로운 작업전략(Work Strategy)의 비전설정과 실질적인 프로세스 디자인 활동을 포함한다. 또한 기술적 차원, 인간적 차원, 조직적 차원등 다차원적 변화의 추진과 실행을 의미한다. 반면에 6시그마는 고객의 요구(Customer Requirement)를 명확히 이해하고 이에 대응하는 기업의 모든 활동을 Top Down시각에서 합리적인 전사 표준을 통해 측정, 평가 후 도출되는 문제점 및 개선 사항에 대해 개선 프로세스에 따라 TFT(Task Force Team) 활동을 지속적으로 전개함으로써 총체적 고객만족을 구현하는데 궁극적인 목적을 둔다. 이러한 경영혁신 활동은 구성원의 참여를 기반으로 하며, 이에 대한 권한 위임과 더불어 지속적인 지원을 바탕으로 제품 및 서비스에 영향을 미치는 모든 부문에 걸쳐 영역 제한 없이 실시하는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 6시그마는 결코 PI를 대체할 수 없으며 상호 보완적 관계로 연계시켜 추진하는 것이 바람직하다.

Research on Improvement of Patient Quality and Perception of Hospital Operation Effect after Medical Institution Certification - For Nursing Hospitals and Western Hospitals - (의료기관 인증 후 환자의 질 향상과 병원운영효과 인식도 조사연구 - 요양병원과 양방병원 대상 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the internal members of nursing hospitals and Western hospitals that received the certification system of medical institutions, and to examine the effect of certification on member satisfaction, job stress, hospital operation effect, and improvement of medical services. In nursing hospitals, the certification system was higher in member satisfaction, hospital operation effect, and medical service effect than in Western hospitals, and members of Western hospitals were higher in job stress. In both nursing hospitals and Western hospitals, the satisfaction of members, hospital operation effect, and medical service effect according to certification showed positive (+) results. It is believed that the effect of the certification system has been empirically high in nursing hospitals as mandatory certification from 2013. Therefore, this study aims to contribute to the efficiency of hospital management and improvement of patient satisfaction through continuous quality management of medical care by analyzing the effect of certification system on medical service improvement.
