Vibration Analysis of a Gear Train - Spindle System for an NC Lathe Gear Box (NC선반 기어박스의 기어열 - 축계 진동해석)

  • In this study, two mathematical models are first constructed to analyze vibration characteristics of a gear train - spindle system of an NC lathe gear box. One is a lumped parameter model which is used for calculating natural frequencies of the torsional vibration, the other is a finite element model for analyzing lateral vibration and critical speeds of the spindle system. In addition, this study examines some possible resonance conditions such as gear mesh frequencies, 1X shaft rpm frequencies over whole operating speed range, and so on. The results may be helpful to design a machine tool gear box with low noise and vibration.

  • 2MW 풍력발전기용으로 사용할 영구자석형 동기발전기 물리설계 과정을 설명하다. 기어비가 72.28인 3단 기어를 사용하여 영구자석 pole을 회전자 표면에서 3 mm 깊이로 삽입시켜 안정된 구조를 취했다. 토크, 인덕턴스, 유기전압, 손실, 온도분포 등을 계산하기 위해 전자기해석과 열해석 등을 통해 영구자석, 회전자, 고정자 등의 구조를 정하고와 크기를 최적화시켰다.

  • 포항풍력에너지연구소에서는 에너지 관리공단의 지원으로 2004년부터 풍력터빈 KBP-2000M에 사용될 발전기를 개발해 오고 있다. KBP-2000M에 사용되는 발전기는 기어비가 24인 기어박스를 가진 가변속도형식의 발전기이다. 발전기의 직경은 1.87m 이고 축 방향의 길이는 1.288m 로 영구자석을 사용하여 여자하는 형식으로 설계되었다. 이러한 설계는 풍력발전기에서 요구하는 주요 요구조건인 고효율, 고 신뢰성을 만족시키기 위해서 매우 중요하다 이 보고에서는 발전기의 물리설계에서 얻어진 사양을 기준으로 하여 열 해석에서 얻어진 열 손실을 이용하여 냉각시스템 설계를 하였으며 펌프 및 라디에이터 선정에 관해서 논의한다.

Non-linear Shimmy Analysis of a Nose Landing Gear with Free-play (유격을 고려한 노즈 랜딩기어의 비선형 쉬미 해석)

  • In this paper, we studied the shimmy phenomena of an aircraft nose landing gear considering free-play. Shimmy is a self-excited vibration in lateral and torsional directions of a landing gear during either the take-off or landing. This phenomena is caused by a couple of conditions such as low torsional stiffness of the strut, friction and free-play in the gear, wheel imbalance, or worn parts, and it may make an aircraft unstable. Free-play non-linearity is linearized by the described function for a stability analysis in a frequency domain, and time marching is performed using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. We performed the numerical simulation of the nose landing gear shimmy and investigated its linear and nonlinear characteristics. From the numerical results, we found limit-cycle-oscillations at the speed under linear shimmy speed for the case considering free-play and it can be concluded that the shimmy stability can be decreased by free-play.

Development of An Integrated Controller for a Direct Drive Turbo Compressor (직접 구동방식 터보 압축기를 위한 통합 제어기 개발)

  • Turbo compressors need high speed rotating impeller in structure, high rate gearbox and conventional induction motor. This mechanical system increased moment of inertia and mechanical friction loss. Recently turbo compressor has adopted a super high-speed motor and driver and have made its size smaller and mechanical friction loss at minimum. In this paper, variable super high - speed motor controller, compressor controller and MMI controller are implemented with only one DSP (TMS320VC33) chip for a 150HP, 70,000rpm direct drive turbo compressor. It was required hardware and software integration. The result of integration, Controller hardware became simple and all control software are developed same developing tool. The implements turbo compressor meets the requirements.

  • There are screw, reciprocating and turbo compressor by structure in an air compressor, essential equipment on he industrial spot. Resently it is wide that the range of turbo compressor's use in gradual, turbo compressor needs high speed rotation of impeller in structure, high rated gearbox and conventional induction motor. Resently the study of turbo compressor applied super high speed motor and drive, removing gearbox made its size small and mechanical friction loss minimum. In this study we tried to develope variable super high speed motor drive systems for 150Hp, 70,000rpm drect drive Turbo compressor. The result of study is applied to a 150Hp direct turbo compressor and makes it goods.

  • 본 논문은 선박의 축계마력 측정방법 및 측정시스템의 개발방법에 대해 논의한다. 엔진 축계에서의 정확한 출력은 선박의 사용목적, 관련추진축계의 제작 및 설치비용 등과 밀접한 관련을 맺고 있다. 본 연구에서는 동력 전달측과 부하측사이의 축상에 두 개의 기어휠을 설치하고 각각의 기어휠에 비접촉식 검출기를 부착하여 위상을 계측한다. 동력이 가해질 경우 두 지점에서는 비틀림 각에 의한 위상차가 발생하게 되고, 발생된 위상차를 전압신호로 검출하여 축에서의 마력을 계산하게 된다.

  • Even through the problem of misalignment is of great importance, not much work has been reported in the literature on the effect of misalignment on the vibrations of the gear-bearing systems. Therefore, the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the gear drive system due to misalignment are investigated in this work. Transmission error for helical gear and bearing nonlinear stiffness is calculated. The equation of motion of the gear drive system is modelled using the time-varying gear meshing stiffness, bearing nonlinear stiffness, and bearing pre-load due to the housing deformation. Numerical analysis lot the gear drive system show the result of misalignment effect - sub-harmonic component, bearing pre-load effect, and another nonlinear phenomenon. And the numerical analysis are verified by the experimental result.

  • Main sources of the vibration in gear driving system are transmission error and backlash. Transmission error is the difference of the rotation between driving and driven gear due to tooth deformation and profile error. Vibro-impacts induced by backlash between meshing gears lead to excessive vibration and noise in many geared rotation systems. Nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the gear driving system due to transmi- ssion error and backlash are investigated. Transmission error is calculated for spur gear. Nonlinear equation of motion for the gear driving system is developed with the calculated transmission error and backlash. Numerical analysis of the equation and the experimental results show the existence of meshing frequency, superharmonic compon- ents. Instability of the gear driving motion is found on the basis of Mathieu equation. Rattle vibration due to backlash is also discussed on the basis if nonlinear jump phenomenon.
