This paper investigates the performance of technology innovation activities performed by firms in 16 major regions in Korea using 2002-2010 survey data by STEPI. The theoretical and empirical analysis is carried out via the 2 models which are the simple R&D - total revenue model and Cobb-Douglas model based on the simple model adding labor variable. The main results shows that for simple model, the R&D elasticity for total revenue is 0.42 for all areas and Ul-San shows the highest elasticity level, 0.66 and Bu-San the lowest level, 0.2. In case of Cobb Douglas model the R&D elasticities are not statistically significant for many regions. To overcome the low statistical significance, we grouped the 15 regions for 3 wider regions using ANOVA based on the R&D intensity for the homogeneity of R&D activities. By grouping, each region has more observations to analyze and the results from the empirical analysis shows higher statistical significance level and data explanation capability. In this case, Group 3 which shows larger firm size and slightly higher export share shows the highest level of R&D elasticity, 0.088 and Group 1 which has the smallest firm size and the lowest revenue growth rate shows the lowest level, 0.31. For the labor elasticity, Group 1 shows the higest level, 1.16 and Group2 the lowest level, 1.096. These results show that the regions which have many middle and small firms reveal low R&D-revenue elasticity and high labor-revenue elasticity.

외환위기 이후 IT는 우리 경제의 견인차로 인식되어 왔으나 2000년대 초두의 IT 버블 붕괴 이후 극심한 성장정체를 겪으면서 일부 학자 및 정책입안자를 중심으로 IT 역할에 대한 회의론적 시각이 제기되어 왔다. 그러나, 지난 2~3년간의 각종 경제지표를 볼 때, IT는 여전히 우리 경제에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 확인할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 미래사회에의 대응을 위해서도 IT에 대한 관심 제고가 무엇보다도 절실한 시점이라 하겠다. 특히, 스마트폰의 등장에 따라 스마트폰 환경에 최적화된 다양한 애플리케이션의 등장과 이를 이용한 모바일 서비스의 보급 확산으로 IT 기기 및 서비스 산업의 경쟁구조에 근본적인 변화가 발생하면서 IT 강국이라는 국가적 브랜드마저 위협받고 있는 시점이어서 더욱 그렇다. 스마트폰의 등장으로 국가경쟁력 결정 패턴이 노동과 자본 등 전통적인 생산요소에 기반한 개별 산업분야의 경쟁우위를 기초로 결정되던 형태에서 감성과 창의성 등 소프트 파워의 보유 정도에 따라 결정되는 형태로 전환되었다는 점에서 R&D전략에 있어서도 중요한 전환점을 맞고 있다고 보여진다. 또한, 산업사회와 정보사회에 이어 급격한 기술혁신에 따른 기술간 및 산업간 융합의 정도가 산업 전반의 경쟁구도에 영향을 미칠 것으로 대부분의 전문가들이 예견하고 있으나, 산업현장이나 기술분야에서 실제적으로 발생되는 융합의 양상은 그다지 신속하지 못한 것으로 나타나고 있다. 따라서, 기술간 및 산업간 융합촉진을 통한 전산업 경쟁력 제고를 위한 R&D 방향 모색이 필요한 시점이다. 이에 따라 본고에서는 스마트폰의 등장에 따른 IT산업의 경쟁구도 변화와 글로벌 기업들의 전략, 대응방향 등을 살펴보는 한편 IT의 전반적인 활용도 증가에 따라 더욱 가속화될 것으로 전망되는 기술간 및 산업간 융합시대에 대응한 IT R&D 방향을 살펴본다. 이는 궁극적으로 IT 강국이라는 국가적 브랜드 이미지의 고착화 전략인 동시에 IT 기반의 융합을 촉진시킴으로써 스마트한 IT Korea라는 국가적 미래비전을 달성해 나가기 위한 방향이 될 것이다.

This paper analyzes the price movements and the possibility of delisting by research and development intensity of firm which made technological innovation disclosure in the Korean stock market. The sample consists of firms listed on the KRX which made technological information disclosure between January 2002 and December 2014. The results are summarized as follows. The higher R&D intensity is observed for the delisted firms group. The logit regression result shows that the research and development intensity is a significant predictor of the possibility of delisting. This shows that exposure to the risk of delisting may increase as the proportion and uncertainty of intangible assets in the assets of individual firms increases. This empirical result is expected to serve as a good guide line for the stakeholders.

As technological development continues, platforms with more diverse structures are emerging. Existing research predicts that a new structure based on technology and innovation will affect the two-sided market. This study evaluated the decentralized identifier (DID) platform, a new platform based on blockchain technology, of the importance of this platform from the perspective of the two-sided market. Using the Analytic Network Process, IT, platform, and blockchain experts conducted a dual comparison survey. Data with a consistency ratio value of 0.1 or less were selected and analyzed for 12 data. The research results showed the importance of service quality, policy support, openness, and uncertainty. This study is expected to be used to support the development of strategic decision-making for blockchain and DID platform-based business companies.

Offset trade has been applied in Republic of Korea's defense acquisition programs since early 1980s and used for national economic development as well as enhancement of military capabilities. The accumulated offset trade value amounts to over 10 billion dollars by 2010. However, questions in regards to the effectiveness of offset trade have been constantly raised. As it is a quite difficult task to analyze and calculate the application performance of defense technologies acquired by offsets objectively, limited level of quantitative analysis of application performance have been conducted so far. Hence, in this paper, we came to understand the overall status of application of those technologies through in-depth performance analysis and suggested some specific policies for the further development of offset trade based on the analysis results. To begin with, we developed a questionnaire based on performance indicator deducted through literature review of relevant researches, and conducted survey of major offset recipients. Also, another survey of offset experts belonged to the army, government organization, research institute and companies was conducted to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of offsets qualitatively. And we analyzed the efficiency of application performance using DEA. The results of all surveys are showing that there is positive accomplishment in the technological aspect, but in economic aspect, it shows relatively inactive outcome. Based on these results, policy direction is considered to be changed from the emphasis on the acquisition of core technology to revitalization of domestic defense industry in line with new government's policy orientation.

Dynamic nature of the A/E/C industry, rapidly changing global market environment, and lowest cost competitive bidding make it difficult to survive in global engineering markets. To understand of the global design&engineering market, a case study has been undertaken. The top 150 global design forms represented in the ENR(Engineering News Record) from 1995 to 2003 are classified three groups for the case study, First group is the firms that its rank is getting raised from 1995. Second group is the firms keep holding its rank from 1994 until 2003. Third group is the firms that its rank has gone down from 1995 until 2003. However, finding key factors and changing business strategies of successful top design fm are the fundamental goals in this paper, After examined case study, this paper concludes and suggests that professionalization, M&A strategies, patrons of government, and academic supporting are needed to be succeeding in the global design & engineering industry.

This study aims to examine the characteristics of interaction among innovative actors including industry, university and government, participating in cultural contents industry cluster in Daegu. Specifically, the study focuses on the change of role for each actor. Triple helix of cultural contents industry cluster in Daegu has been developed backed up by strong contribution of both industry and government, and by interaction between them. However, As technologies surrounding cultural contents industry become complicated and diversified, The role of the university as an entrepreneurial university is more important. In this sense, respective actors should strengthen its capacity in order to improve triple helix of cultural contents industry in Daegu. Based on this, government policy should be established and implemented toward to encouraging cooperation among participating actors.

Fashion is a visual means of expressing identity, position, marital status, personal inclination, etc. along with beauty, and it is an important practical cultural heritage that can infer past lifestyle habits. In modern society, fashion such as women's suits, high heels, hats, gloves, handbags, necklaces, etc., as well as beauty such as hair, make-up and nail art. It is a model of innovative women's prize and presented a sample of femininity that responds to the radical development of science and technology in the 21st century. Therefore, it is a driving force for a genuine gender equality society. It serves as a stepping stone for futuristic future design. This study, which analyzed the factors of women's sexuality from the viewpoint of beauty college students in the fashion style of the newcomers, makes it possible to present a sample of women' s sexuality that establishes constructive self - help theory. It is thought that a solid foundation of femininity will be provided.

The corporate environment is undergoing many changes as the transition to a knowledge-based economy accelerates. Many changes are taking place in China, including the strategy of Chinese manufacturer 2025. It has no role in the manufacturing plant and is striving to lead the industry based on advanced technology. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to understand one's own mechanism as a result of technological innovation of Chinese companies. Therefore, in this study, based on the previous study, in the Delphi survey, eight factors were finally derived, and the eight factors were surveyed by practitioners of Chinese companies about their own mechanism. As a result of analysis, the importance of one's mechanism based on the industry as a whole is patent, design registration, lead time, confidentiality, complementary manufacturing, complementary sales and services, design complexity, learning curve effect / economies of scale. In turn, its importance appeared. The results of this study may help corporate practitioners develop their intellectual property strategic plans through their own mechanisms that are tailored to their company.

Business ecosystem is becoming more inclined towards platform ecosystem, which attracts multi-side participants based on digital technology. The burgeoning interest in digital ecosystem leads to the rapid rise of research. In this paper, we suggest a research agenda, focusing on the benefits of complementors in platform ecosystem. First, we outline the extant papers on benefits from platform to participants from economic perspective, strategic management perspective, technology management perspective, and economic sociological perspective to provide comprehensive understanding about platform ecosystem. Second, we suggest systemic framework to provide integrative insights on the the topic of benefit from platform to complementors- (1) open innovation view, (2) economic performance view, and (3) sociological view. Specifically, we focus on empirical studies that investigate the relationship between the benefits from platform and spillover effects on complementors based on various dataset. In addition, by reviewing the past empirical research, we suggest future research agenda and implications for policy in platform ecosystem.
