Effects of Informal Communication and Mindfulness Practice on the Non-Class-Related Behavior in the Team-Based Learning using Smartwork Tool: Focusing on Mediating Effects of Perceived Self-Efficacy (스마트워크 도구를 이용한 팀 기반 학습에서 비공식적 커뮤니케이션과 마음챙김 실천이 수업외적인 행동에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감 지각의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of perceived self-efficacy in the effects of informal communication and mindfulness practice on non-class-related behavior in the Team-Based Learning(TBL) using smartwork tool. To do this, total of 80, college students participated in this survey. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, informal communication do not have a direct effect on non-class-related behavior but perceived self-efficacy mediates the effect of informal communication. Second, mindfulness practice do not have a direct effect on non-class-related behavior but perceived self-efficacy mediates the effect of mindfulness practice. Third, informal communication and mindfulness practice have positive effect on perceived self-efficacy. In this study, we suggested the importance of perceived self-efficacy in establishing the TBL policy using smartwork tool.

  • This study investigated the effect of loving-kindness meditation intervention on the mindfulness, resilience and stress of college students. Thirty students not receiving any training in meditation intervention were randomly divided into meditation (15 subjects) and control (15 subjects)groups. The meditation group underwent meditation for 10 weeks, once a week, about 80 minutes each time. The results revealed that the experimental group showed significant improvement effect on mindfulness, resilience, and stress compared to the control group. It was concluded that loving-kindness meditation can effectively improve mindfulness, resilience and stress for college students.

  • In this study, we develop a role-playing instruction model based on mind practice. The proposed model can strengthen the information and communication ethics and enhance the will to act which leads to behavioral changes. It is also designed considering methodological and procedural elements of mind education and the steps of role-playing. It has much importance on having students experience mind practice directly and indirectly through role-playing. Firstly, an instruction model for a role-playing is designed based on other researches and case studies. Secondly, it was applied to students to find out the advantages and improvements and modified the earlier version and then, it was applied to 36 sophomores in J university in J city for five weeks. They are majoring in Education and are taking Instructional method and Instructional technology. To prove the effectiveness of the model, it was also applied 5th year 24 students, 6th year 26 students and 10 teachers in an elementary school. The results show that more than 90% students respond positively about how interesting information and communication ethics after participating in a role-playing instruction model based on mind practice.

  • 결핵을 이기기 위해 가장 중요한 것은 무엇일까요? 규칙적인 복약은 가장 중요하게 여겨지는 부분입니다. 그 밖에도 일일이 설명할 수 없는 많은 요소들이 있지만, 결핵환자들의 이야기에서 공통적으로 나타나는 증상이 바로 '우울함을 느낀다'는 점입니다. 최소 6개월이라는 긴 투병기간, 그리고 1차에서 치료가 끝나지 않아 장기 치료로 들어갈 때 많은 환자들이 힘겨움을 토로합니다. 그렇다면 물리적인 치료 외에 한 가지 치료가 더해져야 할 것입니다. 바로 마음을 보듬는 치료일 텐데요. 환자와 의사는 각각 어떤 마음으로 결핵에 대처해야 할까요?

Effects of Life Satisfaction Expectancy, Mindfulness and Social Support on Depression of the Marital Middle-aged Women (중년기여성의 삶의 기대, 마음챙김, 사회적 지지가 우울에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper was to investigate the effects of life satisfaction expectancy, mindfulness and social support of marital middle-aged women on depression. This survey was conducted from March, 2009 to June, 2009 and 182 responses from the survey were used for the analysis. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, psarson correlation and Multiple Regression. The research findings could be summarized as the followings. First, the mean score of life satisfaction expectancy, mindfulness, social support of the marital middle-aged women were higher, while, the mean score of depression are lower relatively. Second, among the main factors, life satisfaction expectancy, social support were the significant predictor to explain depression of marital middle-aged women. Third, the depression of marital middle-aged women was not significantly influenced by mindfulness.

Effects of Haiku Writing on Mindfulness and Empathy Cultivating of the Graduate Students Majoring in Clinical Psychology (하이쿠 시 짓기가 임상심리학 전공 대학원생들의 마음챙김과 감정이입 함양에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Haiku writing on mindfulness and empathy cultivating of the graduate students majoring in clinical psychology, and that it would also serve as enhancements of self-compassion and acceptance. Twenty-two graduate students in clinical psychology were to writing a Haiku poem about nature, the situation and themselves during a semester. Before and after the Haiku Writing Programme, mindfulness, empathy, self-compassion, and acceptance were measured and the subjective responses were analyzed after the programme was completed. The results of the study are as follows : First of all, quantitative analyses shows that Haiku writing has a significant effects on mindfulness, empathy, self-compassion and acceptance. Even in qualitative analyses, there are positive changes on those constructs in Haiku writing. Finally, the meaningfulness of the study, limitations, and recommendations for future work were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the design solutions that should be taken into consideration when developing mobile applications of Mindfulness Training. We aim to provide basic UI / UX design guidances for being effectiveness of mobile application of Mindfulness Training. For this purpose, We research in various aspects. Base on this, We select an approach and apply the application screen prototypes. We suggest some points for to be considered in the development of UI / IX design for mobile applications for Mindfulness Training based on obtained knowledge through this research process.

  • Lately in the medical world, they realized that the spirit is important for health best of all, and in the WHO, the meaning of health was "The condition of being sound in body, mind", now as they added the spirit to there, it became "The condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit". Even though we know well about the importance of spirit, but it is difficult to make sure what that mean is. Even in the Psychology, they didn't distinguish clearly the spirit from the mind. In this report, we have revealed the traits of spirit from the classic theory of spirit to the today's, as studying at side of biology and psychology. Especially the spirit have been developed remarkably for a long time at every religion. Recently in the medical world, they connected 'the spirit of Buddhism' to 'MBSR', and 'the spirit of Christianity' to 'Breakout Principle' with medical method. So, we have studied how the spirit give the positive contribution to the Psycho-therapy.

  • One of important goals for early childhood music learning program is to build a positive attitude toward music. Positive attitude toward music is a basic condition on effective music education for all ages of children including early childhood. Although scholars realize such importance of positive music attitude, much research for creating educational environment to foster a positive music attitude has not been performed. Edwin E. Gordon who found a music learning theory for early childhood emphasized the importance of enriched musical environment. Very young children should be provided best quality of music in an interactive way. Audie's important method of education is to provide young children with a variety of musical activities containing the materials in the ordinary life. Through this method, children accept music as close as friends who are always beside themselves, which naturally builds a solid foundation for audiation for children.
