Purpose: This study was to assess prevalence of refractive errors and uncorrected refractive errors in elementary school children in Mokpo and uncorrected refractive errors were to be used as the basic data. Methods: Vision tests were conducted on 400 subjects of 1st~6th grades at 3 elementary schools in Mokpo city, and subjective, objective refraction test were also performed to survey uncorrected refractive errors. Results: The prevalence of myopia was 256, 64% of total subjects, Hyperopia was 21, 5.3%, astigmatism was 19, 4.8%. The prevalence of uncorrected refractive errors were increased as higher grade and more oculus dexter higher than oculus sinister. Conclusions: Vision impairment which need an accurate vision correction for elementary school students requires the regular examination and actively correction in order to protect the elementary school students for basic welfare.
This study researched how the refraction error and illumination influence to contrast sensitivity when we wear the circle contact lenses. The study population comprised 16 students and adults(5 of Male, 11 of Female). The study population comprised 16 students and adults(5 of Male, 11 of Female), We measured the contrast sensitivity on uncorrected vision, according to color of circle contact and change the illumination of laboratory. The contrast sensitivity by illumination decreased than unaided vision when they wore the color contact lenses and more increased mesopic than photopic. Compared between black and brown lenses, brown was higher the contrast sensitivity than black. Also emmetropia had significantly differences when we compared the contrast sensitivity of subjects who had emmetropia, myopia and myopia astigmatism whether refractive error has or not. Therefore, it is important to provide sufficient understanding and recognition of color contact lenses.

Big data research plays a role of supplementing existing social science research methods. If the survey and experimental methods are somewhat inaccurate because they mainly rely on recall memories, big data are more accurate because they are real-time records. Social science research so far, which mainly conducts sample research for reasons such as time and cost, but big data research analyzes almost total data. However, it is not easy to repeat and reproduce social research because the social atmosphere can change and the subjects of research are not the same. While social science research has a strong triangular structure of 'theory-method-data', big data analysis shows a weak theory, which is a serious problem. Because, without the theory as a scientific explanation logic, even if the research results are obtained, they cannot be properly interpreted or fully utilized. Therefore, in order for big data research to become a methodological innovation, I proposed big thinking along with researchers' efforts to create new theories(black boxes).

Until now, the study of eye refractive error examination for high school students are a few report that in Korea. In particular, there is few report about the visual power for same group during several years. We compared the study of refractive error done this year with that reported three years ago at the same high school. From the these data, the distribution of ammetropia was investigated. The study of refractive error for high school students was also compared with those reported before for the Adults and the middle school student. When the visual power is refered to spherical equivalent, the 36% of the whole students examined above had emmetropia and the other part of them fumed out to be ammetropia which is classify to 60.6% belonged to myopia and 4.4% belonged to hyperpia. The ratio of myopia for this year students is increased in comparision with the students in 1995. The ratio of emmetropia for this year students is 7.4% higher, and the ratio of myopia for this year students is 4% higher, but the ratio of hyperopia is very lower than that for the adults in 1997. In the kind of refractive error, it is classified that a simple myopia is shown to highest ratio as a 28.6% of 1212 eyes examined, a compound myopic astigmatism to the next high ratio as a 22.4%, a simple myopic astigmatism as 14.4%, a simple hyperopic astigmatism as 3.1%, a mixed astigmatism as a 1.7%, a simple astigmatism as 1.2%, a compound hyperopic astigmatism as 1.2%, respectively. The percentage of an astigmatism is a 76.7% of total eyes examined if Cyl-0.25 Dptr is included to an astigmatism. On the other hand, The percentage of an astigmatism is a 45.6% of total eyes examined if Cyl-0.25 Dptr is excluded to an astigmatism. In the kind of astigmatism, the number of students had an astigmatism with the rule is about 4.5 times than that of astigmatism against the rule. From the result of comparision the right eye with the left eye, the right eye of the students had more a myopic refractive error than the left eye, which is same as adults' case, there is no difference in a refractive error between the boy students and the girl students.
Purpose: This study is aimed at finding the conditions of ametropia of adults in the Philippines and the South Korean. Methods: The study objects were 7,695(15,390 eyes) Koreans and 2,256(4,512 eyes) Philippines who visited optic clinics and took refraction test. The distributions of their hypermetropias and myopias about astigmatisms were examined, using the method of equivalent spherical power. When astigmatisms were marked in S-C, cylinder lens diopter and astigmatism axis, presbyopic additions and pupillary distances were analyzed by comparison respectively. Results: Among ametropias of Koreans myopias and hypermetropias were 93.69% and 6.31% respectively and about ametropias of Philippines myopia and hypermetropias were 73.43% and 26.57% respectively. As for spherical equivalent power about Koreans, the results showed that Koreans marked -3.352 D about myopia and Philippines marked -2.213 D about it. There is a gap of -1.139 D between them. About hypermetropia Koreans marked 1.147 D and Philippines, 1.251 D and their gap is 0.104 D. As for ametropia of Koreans there is 49.86% in middle myopia, 32.28% about low myopia, 11.55% about high myopia, and 5.54% about low hypermetropia, 0.75% about middle hypermetropia. As for it about Philippines there is 44.53% in low myopia, 25.11% about middle myopia, 3.79% high myopia and 23.03% low hypermetropia, and 3.51% low hypermetropia respectively. As for cylinder lens there is differences of 0.194 D and 0.22 D between Korean and Philippine for both sexes. Totally Koreans have higher cylinders of 0.175 D than Philippines. As for astigmatism, Koreans have direct astigmatism, inverse astigmatism, and oblique astigmatism in their suffering sequence. As for Philippines, they have direct astigmatism, inverse stigmatism, and oblique astigmatism in their abnormal sequence, and they have higher oblique stigmatism than Koreans. As for presbyopic addition, Philippines have higher distributions than Koreans, and 0.296 D is higher in average. As for pupillary distance, Koreans have longer distance of 0.97 mm in man and 0.63 mm in women than Philippines. Conclusions: As for ametropia, Koreans and Philippines have more myopias than hypermetropias, but Philippines have more rates of hypermetropias than Koreans. And Philippines have more presbyopic additions. Koreans have higher morbidity of inverse astigmatism, and Philippines have higher morbidity of oblique astigmatism comparatively. As for pupillary distance, Koreans have longer length in the body characteristics. This shows that geographical circumstances have much to do with refraction conditions of eyes.
Due to the burgeoning Korean musical industry, the needs of professional man power as well as the quality and quantity increase in educational institutions are on the rise. The curriculum for art education comprises through school education programs in which embody the artists' self-growth and self-realization. The field of arts simply could not be executed with only techniques but through the theory and educational course, the artist is able to clearly express and communicate their genuine desires. Therefore, Korean musical education could not conform to shortsighted trends or be used as an instant tool for increasing competitiveness among universities but make an effort to provide good quality curriculum for the purpose of producing talented actors. Furthermore, the curriculums should build a sincere trust and give confidence in which receiving a cultural education before choosing a career path is not getting behind ahead of becoming an actor with practical training and knowledge. In order to do so, it is necessary for each university to have more systematical management and administration structure that enable students to build promising future even after graduation through more effective educational courses and strong network. As a result, the competitiveness of the university would rise due to producing talented actors and the quality of musical industry would further improve as well.
To 160 persons(90 men, 70 women) who went to the national hospital of Solok-island with Hansens's disease, I tested the objective refracts test with the product of Cannon Ltd. Co. which RK-3 Auto Ref-keratometer's auto ophthalmoscope. The results were like these. Visual acuity of above 0.7 that can live without glasses was contained 44 men's eyes(24.4%) and 19 women s eyes(13.6%). These result are indicated that men have had more good visual acuity than women. Visual acuity of below 0.6 that cannot do normal life was contained 80.3% of the total patients. And amblyopia of below 0.3 and eyes which cannot be corrected were shown 44.4%(80 men's eyes and 55.7% 78 woman's eyes). Myopia was contained 119 eyes(43), hyperopia was contained 139 eyes (50.4%) and emmetropia was 6.5%. Astigmatism was shown 136 men s eyes (86.6%) and 97 women's eyes(81.5%). These results are indicated what many people accompany with astigmatism. And these ratio had some high percentages men rather than women. Direct astigmatic was contained 37 eyes (11.6%), Indirect astigmatic 81 eyes(25.3%) and Oblique Astigmatic 115 eyes(35.9%). As a of distributed result oblique astigmatic occupied best high point as 49.4% in 233 astigmatism and distributed the opposite direction as compared with normal irregular emmetropia not patient.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcome and Factors that influence the quantity of Phoria in the low correction and perfect correction. Also the coincidence with the opticenter and the pupillary distance was a principal factor that influence the quantity of Phoria. Thereupon, this study is attributed to promote the perfect Phoria test. The subjects for this study were 120 persons(240 eye) in myopic refractive errors. ISP/WIN program was used for the data analysis. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and Spearman's correlation coefficient. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The prism pattern was difference between low correction and perfect correction in the Phoria test. The proportion of orthophoria was changed from 10.0% to 12.5%, exophoria was changed from 67.5% to 62.5%, and esophoria was changed from 22.0% to 32.5%, respectively. 2. The average of optical center distance and pupillary distance were 31.70mm and 31.49 mm, respectively. 3. Among the 120 myopic glasses wearers, the distance between optical centers was coincided with the pupillary distance in 37.5%, and discrepant in 62.5%. 4. For the patients who were coincided with the pupillary distance, the proportion of exophoria decreased 53.33%, esophoria increased 20.0%. 5. For the changing of the quantity of Phoria in the low correction, the degree of exophoria decreased 1.11 prism diopters in the perfect correction, esophoria increased 0.39 prism diopters.
From 1995. 3. 20 to 1995. 4. 10 refractive errors were surveyed on the 1,197 middle and high school pupils in Dong-Du-Cuon area. On the basis of the power of the old glasses or newly examined power, we surveyed the distribution of the refractive errors according to their types, ages, heights, weights and differences between both eyes. Among 2,394 eyes examined, 1,125eyes(47%) were emmetropia, 967 eyes(40.4%) were myopic, and 302eyes(12.6%) were hyperopic. As to the distribution of refractive errors, simple myopia(42.9%) was most common, and mixed astigmatism and compound hyperopic astigmatism were below 1%, Among the types of astigmatism, 62% were with the rule, 23% were against the rule and 15% were oblique, Differences between both eyes, the left eye showed more myopic than those of right eye. The distribution of myopia according to their ages, 27.7 at age 11, 38.5% at age 12, 35.5% at age 41.5% at age 14, 37.7% at age 15, 48.3% at age 16 and 46.8% at age 17., there was a significant increase in the prevalence of the myopia but that or hyperopia decreases with increases of age.
For the myopia eyes of the people which are ametropia, the classified distribution has showed % for the simple myopic, 50% for the compound myopic astigmatism, 15% for the simple myopic astigmatism and 19% for the mixed astigmatism. The myopic ametropia for the both eyes has the distribution of 35% for -0.50D~-2.00Dptr, 54% for -2.00~6.00Dptr, and 11% for over -6.00Dptr. The classifying distribution for the age for the myopic ametropia was 54% for 15~20, 22% for 21~40, 14% for 41~60 and 10% for 61. The occupational distribution for the myopic ametropia has showed 61.5% for the student(Middle, High, College), 13.5% for the office worker, and 15% for the house wives as well as the small business. The hour affecting the refraction most for a day was after P.M. 7 which recorded 45% as the highest value. The reason is that the myopia degree decreases in the morning as the cornea flats and the situation is reversed in the afternoon so that there is a difference of Sph -0.50D and as getting darker the refraction degree of the light coming through the enlarged pupil refraction around the cornea is high. For the seasons the highest myopic degree has been recorded for 68% in the summer due to the shortage of nutrition and the climination inside the body by the exhaustion of sweat. In the blood types A and B are distributed closely as 34% and more active man with O has recorded higher myopic degree than woman. However woman showed higher accommodation power than man regardless the blood types. In the characteristic factors of myopic eye, the character feels fatigue easily has showed the distribution for 42% which is the highest and it could be classified largely by two the.
