A Study on Comparison between Korean.Chinese Consumers In the Relationship between Domestic Open Market Brand personality, Customer Satisfaction and Brand Loyalty (국내 오픈마켓 브랜드개성과 고객만족, 애호도와의 관계에서 한.중 소비자간 비교에 관한 연구)

  • At this point in time when the percentage of foreign consumers as well as domestic consumers are being increased in domestic open market users due to the recent interest and promotion on the open market, the purposes of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between open market brand personality, satisfaction and brand loyalty will be clarified targeting all Korean consumers and Chinese consumers using domestic open market. Second, whether there is difference in the effect of domestic open market brand personality on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty between Korean consumers and Chinese consumers will be compared. The results are as follows. First, as a result of testing the study hypothesis targeting the open market users, in other words targeting all Korean consumers and Chinese consumers, only the ability among brand personality dimensions did not have positive effect on the satisfaction toward open market. Other than that, it could be confirmed that the reliability, sincerity and familiarity, etc are important influence factors in forming satisfaction toward open market. Next, as a result of testing whether there is difference in the effect of domestic open market brand personality on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty between Korean consumers and Chinese consumers, it was shown as having difference. In other words, the Korean consumers were shown as not having positive significant effect in the relationship between the ability among brand personality and satisfaction toward open market while all other brand personality dimensions were shown as having positive effect on the satisfaction toward open market. It could be found that if the satisfaction toward open market is high, the brand loyalty toward open market also gets high.

  • 본 논문은 기업들의 점증하는 체계적 브랜드 관리에 대한 필요를 인식하면서 이에 부응하기 위한 하나의 브랜드 관리 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 일반적으로 전략적인 브랜드 관리는 브랜드자산의 구축, 브랜드자산의 측정과 진단, 브랜드 자산의 관리를 포함한다(Keller 1998). 그러나 이 논문에서 제안하고자 하는 브랜드 관리 시스템인 Brand Value-Up 은 주로 상표 자산의 측정과 진단에 관한 시스템이다. 이 논문에서 Brand Value-Up 을 제안하기 위해 우선 기존의 대표적인 브랜드 관리 시스템들을 검토하였다. 그리고 나서 이들의 미비점들을 분석하였으며, 나아가서 기존 시스템들의 미비점을 보완하는 시스템으로서 Brand Value-Up 을 소개하였다. 또한 Brand Value-Up 은 고객 중심의 브랜드진단 평가모델로서 결과지표 (Awareness Power, Functional Power, Image Power)와 성과지표(Brand Performance)로 구분하여 구체적으로 전략적인 시사점을 얻기 위한 모형으로서 제안하였다. 실제로 주요 국내 브랜드 (21 개 제품 106 개 브랜드)를 대상으로 한 분석을 통해 Brand Value-Up 의 활용 예를 보였으며, 마지막으로 이 시스템이 갖는 마케팅적인 의미와 시사점을 논의하였다.

  • In this study, we tried to scrutinize the status and problems of domestic cosmetics industry. On the basis of theoretical study, we examined the strategic marketing skill and tactics of foreign products to devise a strategy for domestic cosmetics with the help of marketing mix of foreign competitors: so to say 4 Ps. The core of the empirical research is hereby the effect of consumers' behavior. The conclusion of the research can be summarized as following: the most important problem of domestic cosmetics industry is the poor brand power. It has been confirmed that the consumer needs are various and dynamic. Analysis of 4 Ps of marketing factors of foreign goods shows this very clearly. Consumers tend to rely upon the brand name of the product rather than the quality, when they don't have enough information or knowledge on the product. This conclusion teaches us to make an effective strategy of marketing. It is brand power and brand cultivating. This study may give domestic marketers a motive to predict the future and succeed in existence and prosperity.

A Case Study of Brand Experience through Credit Card Design (신용카드 디자인을 통한 브랜드 경험 사례 연구)

  • Credit cards are becoming an important marketing tool that reveals brand identity beyond payment methods. The purpose of this study is to suggest an effective design strategy plan by analyzing credit card design case that provided a positive brand experience among the cases of implementing the brand identity of a domestic credit card. The design of a representative credit card brand in Korea was analyzed according to Schmidt's experience type. As a result of analysis, when designing a credit card, it maximizes the visual effect with colors suitable for each theme, presents a multi-faceted experience that stimulates the five senses of the consumer, and provides an active brand experience that can reminisce the benefits of a credit card. It was found to be effective in revealing the brand identity. This study is meaningful in that local credit card companies offer design directions that can positively imprint brands on consumers through credit card designs.

Brand Personalities in Restaurant Business -Korean and Foreign Brand Restaurants- (국내.외 외식업체의 브랜드 개성)

  • The purpose of this study is 1) to find out what brand personality should be selected in the Korea brand(Nolbu, Donday) and Foreign brand(TGI Fridays, Outback steakhouse), 2) to explore how the brand personality affects the store personality, that is, brand preference and revisiting which is related to the firm's overall sales. Therefore, useful tools for attracting and retaining core customers will be provided to decision-makers. The findings are summed up as follows: Successful, wholesome, and hard-working are the most significant variables in the brand personality. Also intimate factors(friendly, honest, darling) stand out high brand preference and revisiting in the Korea brand restaurants. In foreign brand restaurants, western, friendly, and young are highly recognized in brand personality. Both cheerful factors(cheerful, charming) and successful factors(successful, leader, confident) have the greatest impact on high brand preference and revisiting intent. The findings offer important insights: First, the concept of restaurant should be overlapped with style of core customers in the Korean brand restaurants. Second, entertainment factors like cheerful atmosphere should be reinforced in the foreign brand restaurants.

  • There is now intense competition among many outdoor brands in the domestic market. Establishing differentiated brand image and enhancing brand identity are very important in this situation. This case is to investigate Black Yak's strategy for enhancing their brand identity. The Black Yak builds up their popularity by implementing social responsibility activities along with sustaining their extreme traditional outdoor image. It is effective to step up their brand identity. Future challenges and suggestions are discussed at the end.

  • Sales for SPA brand names of private label apparels are on the rise in the domestic clothing market. The aim of this study is to analyze the characteristics of SPA brands and how each color system is proposed within the BI system. In this study, 8 brands were selected as the most popular SPA brands in Korea and abroad with stores based on brand power and sales and preference by consumers. Therefore, among information factors such as brand identity (BI) and color characteristic. sign system, package, and environmental factors, buildings facade and interior design of eight brands were investigated. Research into color application of BI revealed that four brands used red colors with different tones with different identity differentiation. For the other four brands, the company applied BI designs that gained the brand's character such as a black-and-white or dark blue one. Thus, it is considered important to select BI color in order to differentiate and enhance preferences in brand identity.

A Study on the Quality Characteristics of Brand and Non-brand Korean beefs (국내산 브랜드 한우와 비브랜드 한우의 품질 특성 연구)

  • The quality characteristics of brand and non-brand Korean beefs, found in retail circulation, were studied via physicochemical and microbiological analysis and sensory tests. The average price of 100 g of brand Korean beef sirloin was 7.6 USD (1USD=950won), while the price of non-brand Korean beef was 3.1 USD. The fat content of the brand beef seemed to be higher, yet the difference was not significant. In both the brand and non-brand beefs, pH levels were approximately 5.27 We found that lightness (Hunter L value) tended to be higher in the brand beef, but again, this difference was not significant. For the cooked beef texture, the brand beef seemed to have lower gumminess, and had significantly less fracturability, than the non-brand beef. Significant differences could not be found with regards to microbiological stability between the two types of beef. In the raw beef sensory test, significant differences were identified for meat color, fat color, fat in muscle, flavor, and general preference. Also, the after cooking sensory test showed that brand beef had better characteristics for color, flavor, juiciness, softness, taste, chewiness, and preference.

  • Recently, the reconsideration of the worth of Brand marketing asked marketers and designers alike to deal with the reappearance of Brand marketing on the web environment. The most significant changes are the appearing numerous Brand Sites and the efforts of Brand marketing on the internet. For this paper, I first study about the concept of Brand Sites, and then research the sites from various industrial fields which are selected as a leading Brand by consumers. Through this research, I inspect the realities of applying multimedia contents on domestic Brand web sites, and consider the effects they might have in the building of Brand Images on web sites. In Conclusion, I suggest that the design strategies for applying multimedia contents in the Brand Sites. The purpose of this study is for extending the design opportunities for multimedia contents in the internet. Furthermore, I am continuing my research through studying the interrelationship between Brand recognition and multimedia content usage that are appearing on Brand Sites.
