  • 정보 교과 교육과정의 평가에 관한 연구는 기존의 교육평가의 연구와 마찬가지로 대부분 평가 방법에 초점을 맞춘 특징을 보인다. 타일러에 의해 교육과정의 한 영역으로 자리잡은 교육평가는 구성주의 이론의 발달과 더불어 결과중심 평가에서 과정 중심평가로 관점이 이동하고 있으며 형성평가, 협동학습에 네트워크를 적용한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 구성주의 이론을 바탕으로 세부 구성 요소들에 대하여 평가 구성요소 분류 개념에 따라 각 국의 정보교과교육과정 평가 체계를 고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문은 구성주의적 관점에서의 학습환경을 구축하기 위하여 설계·구현된 웹 기반 협동학습 시스템을 기술한다. 웹 상에서 인터넷을 통해 상호작용적인 의사소통을 촉진하고 자기 주도적 협동학습을 가능케 하기 위해 관리자, 그룹관리자, 학습자의 3가지 모듈을 구성·설계하였고, 과제와 평가 역시 서로 연동시킴으로써 보다 내실있는 시스템을 설계하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 강조되고 있는 ICT(Information & Communication Technology) 찬용 교육에 있어 의다 효율적인 협동학습 공간을 구축하는 데 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

Reflections on the application of progressivism and constructivism in mathematics education (수학교육에서 진보주의와 구성주의 적용에 대한 성찰)

  • The present study was conducted on the assumptions that both progressivist and constructivist education emphasized the subjective knowledge of learners and confronted similar problems when the derived educational principles from the two perspectives were adopted and applied to mathematics research and practice. We argue that progressivism and constructivism should have clarified the meaning, purpose, and direction of 'emphasizing subjective knowledge' in application to the particular educational field. For the issue, we reflected Dewey's theory on the application of past progressivism, and aligned with it, we took a critical view of the educational applications of current constructivism. As a result, first, the meaning of emphasizing subjective knowledge is that each of the students constructs a unique mathematical reality based on his or her experience of situations and cognitive structures, and emphasizes our understanding of this subjective knowledge as researchers/observers. Second, the purpose of emphasizing subjective knowledge is not to emphasize subjective knowledge itself. Rather, it concerns the meaningful learning of objective knowledge: internalization of objective knowledge and objectification of subjective knowledge. Third, the application of the emphasis on subjective knowledge does not specify certain teaching/learning methods as appropriate, but orients us toward a genuine learner-centered reform from below. The introspections, we wish, will provide new momentum for discussion to establish constructivism as a coherent theory in mathematics classrooms.

Analysis on Evaluating Learner's Attention States in a Virtual Environment and Retained Memory after VR Learning (가상현실 학습자의 주의집중상태와 학습 후 기억내용에 관한 영향분석)

  • Recently there have been some positive evidences on the effects of learning in a virtual environment. However, most of these educational VR systems were not deeply considered in the design of drawing a learner's attention on lesson contents, which would help enhance retained memory. Hence, a study was conducted to measure 17 subjects' attention states using EEC, ECG, GSR, and eye-tracking and their behaviors while they were given guided search task or exploration task in a virtual environment consisting of five major events. It also analyzed the subject's remembered items after their VR experiences using a surrey. This paper Int describes an overview of the ocean virtual environment used in this study, and it then explains the experimental design, apparatus, and method. It will also discuss the results by a detail analysis (in a whole VR session as well as event-related 10-second 33 sub-sessions) with the subjects' attention states and their retained memory after the learning.

Simulated Courseware Design and Materialization of Light Reflection and Refraction (빛의 반사 및 굴절 시뮬레이션 코스웨어 설계 및 구현)

  • The purpose of this study is to design and materialize the simulated courseware which is based on new educational environments and student-based education. The scope of this study is reflection and refraction of in the physics of high school. This paper introduce the theoretical background of courseware and investigate the structure and process of the teaching-theory by visualized computer simulation. We applied the basic concept about the reflection and refraction of light and explained the simulated images of spherical mirror and lens with the principles expressions and relative image forms. The last we simulated the various kinds of the images, shapes and distance of the images by changing the distance of object and focus which are made by computer simulation.

A Study on HTML Learning Method Using PBL (문제중심학습법을 적용한 HTML 교수-학습방법의 연구)

  • We expected that PBL (Problem based Learning) methode has good effectiveness for HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) learning of elementary school students. In this study, a test was conducted in which a PBL method and the traditional lecture-based learning method were applied to an HTML class, and compared the level of educational accomplishment and compared the effectiveness of the two methods. PBL applied was based on the IMSA model of problem-based learning center. Educational accomplishment was evaluated base d on evaluation of theory and application skills. Test results revealed that there were no significant differences in theoretic learning between the two methods of learning. However, in application skills, the PBL was proved to be significantly more effective th an the traditional lecture-based learning method. Through the study, it was verified that PBL has a more positive educational effect that the traditional lecture-based learning.

  • Distance education, which emerged under the influence of both the rapid development of hi-tech information technology and the constructivism theory of learning, enables learners to acquire knowledge and skills needed by monitoring their learning process for themselves. Emphasis on web-based distance education and contructivism as a basis of learner-centered education does not mean that those education systems are performed without teachers or in noninterference. This study proposes a model of distance education system in which learners are taught in various levels of learning with the help of teacher agents. In the model teacher agents produce the learners' respective learning model considering the information on individual learners and also control the progress to the next step of learning with the result of the evaluation of learning accomplishment. The model of distance education system suggested in this study is able to help solve the problem that the learning resources web-based distance education provides were used only as objects of web search and to supply a basis of realizing learner-centered education.

  • In the advanced information age, learning is an activity in which learners access information resources through computers and Internet to acquire and evaluate information on their own. The emergence of an online learning platform based on the fourth industrial revolution technology is developing into an environment in which elementary and secondary learners learn and study based on constructivism learning theory. In the online learning environment, the researches on the information retrieval ability of the elementary and secondary learners and the self-directed learning ability were found to be highly related. However, it is necessary to analyze the relation between information retrieval ability and self-directed learning ability through a cross-sectional study that is limited to specific curriculum and contents and expands the longitudinal research. In this study, the panel data of the Seoul Education Longitudinal Study collected over 8 years are used to find the difference in self-directed learning ability according to the longitudinal pattern of information retrieval ability and frequency.

  • The Gifted need the constructivist loaming environments that reflect his or her cognitive and affective characteristics and needs to exert their potential fully. 'Structural Communication'was designed to encourage creative thinking in learners, allowing them to create an understanding of a topic, not simply memorize facts. It is considered in line with constructivist philosophy and cognitive paradigms. The major purpose of this study is to explore 'Web-Based Structural Communication'program to embody the collaborative loaming based on constructivism. It was applied on high school $2\times2$ matrix teaming for the gifted students. Recently developed computer technology, emerging network facilities, and internet enable us to extend the usefulness and efficiency of 'Structural Communication’Especially web provides not only the discussion environment that is free from space and time constraints and characteristics of leasers, but also the experiences of knowledge construction through the collaborative learning. Through the 'Web-based Structural Communication', the gifted will be able to argue, persuade and share their unique ideas and gradually elaborated ill-structured ideas. The gifted will escape from the tunnel vision of the early time and have multiple perspectives that are more objective and logical. As the result, the gifted are expected to acquire the effect of 'the Zone of Proximal Development'that Vygotsky advocated.
