Time and Cost-saving of Inter-Terminal Transportation (타 부두 환적 화물의 시간 및 비용절감 방안)

  • The Korean government establishes a strategy to develop the Busan New Port as a world ranking two transit-oriented port. This paper aims at presenting an efficient Inter-Terminal Transportation system in the Busan New Port as a method of achieving the government strategy. It proposes four systems to treat Inter-Terminal Transportation in the port; Double stack Multiple Trailer System (DMTS) Rail-based transportation system, Private road for Inter-Terminal Transportation, and platform for Inter-Terminal Transportation. This is shown to highly potential for efficient Inter-Terminal Transportation in the port.

Anomaly Detection Method Based on Trajectory Classification in Surveillance Systems (감시 시스템에서 궤적 분류를 이용한 이상 탐지 방법)

  • Recent surveillance systems employ multiple sensors, such as cameras and radars, to enhance the accuracy of intrusion detection. However, object recognition through camera (RGB, Thermal) sensors may not always be accurate during nighttime, in adverse weather conditions, or when the intruder is camouflaged. In such situations, it is possible to detect intruders by utilizing the trajectories of objects extracted from camera or radar sensors. This paper proposes a method to detect intruders using only trajectory information in environments where object recognition is challenging. The proposed method involves training an LSTM-Attention based trajectory classification model using normal and abnormal (intrusion, loitering) trajectory data of animals and humans. This model is then used to identify abnormal human trajectories and perform intrusion detection. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is demonstrated through experiments using real data.

  • Aid-to-Navigation facility is important for maritime traffic safety. In Korea, for safe maritime traffic, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is using an Aid-to-Navigation management system. The current Aid-to-Navigation management system displays information based on text, making it difficult to determine the impact if Aid-to-Navigation fails or an accident occurs. A simulator can be used to verify the placement of Aid-to-Navigation. However, real-time information is not applied and maintenance of the simulator is expensive. Additionally, the Aid-to-Navigation simulator cannot simulate effects of port backlighting. To improve these issues, we proposed an Aid-to-Navigation management platform based on digital twin technology. This system can predict failures by analyzing real-time sensor data collected from navigation signs. We plan to develop a function that can simulate Aid-to-Navigation placement. Aid-to-Navigation is expected to be managed efficiently by applying digital twin technology.

  • The city is experiencing various problems such as traffic congestion, environmental pollution, urban crime, and faces the limit of growth. Recently, various attempts to build a Smart City have been spreading around the world, in order to solve these problems. Smart City is attracting attention as the core platform of the future city with the $4^{th}$ industrial revolution. However, various definitions of smart city are mixed, and the methods and strategies for implementing smart city are changing or evolving due to the development of technology and the experience during that time. This study summarizes the definition of various smart city through literature review and suggests smart city building strategy that enables sustainable growth of cities as a platform of the $4^{th}$ industrial revolution era.

  • Bicycle shares road with various traffic elements like car, pedestrian and, the number of bicycle user is increasing in recent. Therefore, bicycle accident continuously increases. Especially in complex traffic environment, bicycle accident which collides with moving object such as pedestrian occupies many parts of bicycle accident in the reason that the cyclist does not recognize moving object. In this paper, to reduce or avoid the bicycle accident, we propose the architecture of bicycle collision avoidance system in which that cyclist can get the information about moving object by connecting bicycle to network of vehicles and does some action for avoiding collision. In our architecture, when traffic element such as car recognizes moving object, it decides the moving direction of object, and transfers information about moving direction via vehicles network. Bicycle collision avoidance system from our proposed architecture receives this information, and alerts to cyclist when the moving object influences the safety of bicycle.

  • The terrestrial-DMB (T-DMB) provides one-way broadcasting service in intial phase and two-way interactive data services through a return channel of mobile communications network are commercialized recently. The possible evolution of the T-DMB will be fully convergence between the T-DMB and other communication services such as telematics, RFID and so on. From this evolution point of view, a framework should be defined for supporting telematics and RFID applications on T-BMB platform. In this paper, we propose an integrated service model that could support RFID application services on the interactive T-DMB. To realize the model, we design a service scenario, a network reference model, functionalities of each entity, a data transmission mechanism messages, and coding rules. The service model could allow users to support the identical RFID application services over the T-DMB network even if T-DMB terminal doesn't have RFID reader capability. In addition, in the case for providing the interactive TTI(Traffic and Travel Information)service, users could utilize the current location based RFID application service using by the TPEG-Location application that forms the basis of user location referencing.   • As different news is reported every day in our daily life, the amount of data generated around us is enormous. Some of this data is personal, but there are some things that are common to everyone, such as weather and traffic information. This paper is a study on information transmission using public data to use information effectively and quickly, and investigated open API based on public data and API technology. Based on this, we explain a method of transmitting information using an open API that can be easily used in daily life, and propose a method to transmit information using various open APIs by applying this. If public data is used using the suggested method, it is possible to transmit information more easily and accurately, so it is possible to apply it to various fields.

  • In this paper, we propose a sensor data sharing system for the safe and smooth operation of autonomous vehicles on two-way single lanes in traffic-isolated areas and implement the core module, the situational awareness technology. Two-way single lanes pose challenges for autonomous vehicles, particularly when encountering parked vehicles or oncoming traffic, leading to reversing issues. We introduce a system using infrastructure cameras to detect vehicles' approach, enter, and leave on twoway single lanes in real-time, transmitting this information to autonomous vehicles via V2N communication, thereby expanding the sensing range of the autonomous vehicles. The core part of the proposed system is the situational awareness of the two-way single lane using infrastructure cameras. In this paper, we implement this using object detection and tracking technology. Finally, we validate the implemented situational awareness technology using data collected from actual two-way single lanes.

  • Development of new information and traffic technology causes fast-growing in the field of information-based system. At recent, development of LBS(Location Based Service) makes a remarkable growth of industry as GPS(Global Positioning System) becomes wide-spread and location information becomes more important. However, there is a problem like infringement of privacy when location information is used improperly[1]. In this paper, LBS platform is proposed in order to prevent infringement of privacy. To implement, we classify user path as pattern in a zone of user life. Thereupon, location information is provided according to user' specific situation.

Upward, Downward Stair Detection Method by using Obliq ue Distance (사거리를 이용한 상향, 하향 계단 검출 방법)

  • Moving assistant devices for people who are difficult to move are becoming electric-powered and automated. These moving assistant devices are not suitable for moving stairs at which the height between floor surfaces is different because these devices are designed and manufactured for flatland moving. An electric-powered and automated moving assistant device should change direction or stop when it approaches stairs in a movement direction. If the user or automatic control system does not change direction or stop in time, a moving assistant device can roll over or collide with stairs. In this paper, we propose a stairs detection method by using oblique distance measured by one sensor tilted to flatland. The method proposed in this paper can detect upward or downward stairs by using a difference between a predicted and measured oblique distance in considering a tilted angle of a sensor for measuring an oblique distance and installation height of the sensor on a moving object. Before the device enters a stairs region, if our proposed method provides information about detected stairs to a device's controller, the controller can do adequate action to avoid the accident.
