Also, this paper analyzes what kinds of relationships time perspectives and smart-phone addiction have with the two factors and how they influence on them. In order to do so, we survey on 441 primary, middle, high school, and college students. Our analysis results cover the relationships among the two factors, smart-phone addiction level, present-hedonic perspective, and future time perspective. In addition, we analyze the relationship among the factors with a structural equation model. By doing these, we propose educational alternatives in terms of time and plan to improve our adolescent's abstract thinking level, which helps their problem solving skills and their academic achievement.

  • This study has examined the cause of the library anxiety among foreign students upon visiting college libraries. 131 students were investigated using Library Anxiety Scale (LAS) to analyze the relationship between sex, grade, library use education, frequency of library use, Korean skill and cultural heterogeneity. The result of the LAS showed an average of 2.60 among foreign students, and the anxiety from the "mechanical barrier" was scored the highest. For sex, male students tended to be relatively more anxious than female students on the "accommodation of library" and "knowledge of library." Students who participated in the library use education were less anxious than those who did not, and the more one used library, the less one became anxious. Based on these results, the study proposes the way ahead for resolving library anxiety through library use education and frequency of use.

Methods: Seventy-eight of community-based visiting nurses was enrolled in this study. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the ${\chi}^2$-test, and the paired t-test in SPSS version 18.0. Results: Nurses had higher mean scores for counselor activity self-efficacy: skill self-efficacy, session management self-efficacy and counseling challenges self-efficacy, after EPCM than before EPCM. Significant differences were found after applying the EPCM. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the EPCM is effective at improving counselor self-efficacy of community-based visiting nurses.

In 233 science-gifted elementary students and 329 non-gifted elementary students, we measured the friendship expectation that sub-domains were intimacy, ability similarity, and morality. The results of this study were as follows: First, according to the results of comparing the friendship expectations of science-gifted and non-gifted students at the regular class, there was statistically significant intergroup difference in the sub-domains of intimacy and morality, but there was no significant difference in the sub-domain of ability similarity. Second, according to the results of comparing the friendship expectations of science-gifted at the gifted class and at the regular class, there was statistically significant difference in the sub-domain of intimacy, but there was no significant difference in the sub-domains of morality and ability similarity. Based the results, the implications to understand the friendship of the science gifted elementary students were suggested in depth.

  • This study examined the construct validity of a Korean translated version of the Gifted Rating Scales-School Form (GRS-S). Data were collected from five elementary schools in a metropolitan area and a midsize town in South Korea. Confirmatory factor analysis results indicated that the original factor structure (6-factor solution) fit the data collected from the teachers. However, the 6-factor solution did not fit the data collected from the parents. Thus, exploratory factor analysis was conducted for the parent data. The results showed that seven factors were extracted, and the factors explained 71.96% of the total variance. Unlike the original factor structure, some items of the academic ability scale were grouped with intellectual ability scale, and a creativity scale item and another academic ability scale item were an independent factor. The study outcomes provide preliminary support for a translated version of the GRS-S with elementary students in Korea. More detailed interpretations and implications of the results are discussed in the study.

The questionnaire survey was conducted using the 'College Student Experiences Questionnaire (CSEQ)' questionnaire of 524 students from five universities in the city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis. The results of this study showed that the experiences of college students 'Computer and Information Technology', 'Course Learning', 'Club and Organization' had positive effects on academic achievement. The implications of this study are as follows: First, colleges have to install more infrastructure for students to easily use computers and the Internet inside the school, and to provide programs to develop ICT skills to all students. Second, college-based efforts are needed to improve the quality of lectures for providing the students' knowledge and skills. Third, students' club and organization participation should be set up in college to find ways to improve students' academic achievement.

  • The aim of this study was to verify the feasibility and reliability of the program outcome indirect measurement tool developed for nursing college students in Korean. 396 nursing students from 5 nursing colleges participated in this study, data were collected from November 22 to December 10, 2019. Data analysis was conducted using the IBM Statistics SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs to analyze item analysis, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. As a result of the item analysis, all 79 items were selected for factor analysis. In the exploratory factor analysis, five items that were loaded with other factors were deleted. The final factor loading range was from .37 to .86, and the cumulative explanatory variance for 12 factors was 71.71%. No items were deleted as a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, and the final scale was consisted of 74 items. The average score for scale was 3.78 and Cronbach' α was .98. The feasibility and reliability of the program outcome indirect measurement tool have been verified through this study. Therefore it can be used as a more standardized indirect measurement tool for nursing college students.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean Bereavement Care Confidence Scale (K-BCCS). Methods: The Perinatal Bereavement Care Confidence Scale (PBCCS) was translated into Korean according to an algorithm of cultural adaptation process and excluded six items which were specific to perinatal bereavement. A total of 229 clinical nurses participated in the study. Construct validity, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and group comparison validity were evaluated, and Cronbach's α was calculated to estimate the reliability of the K-BCCS. Results: The K-BCCS consisted of 31 items in 7 factors, including knowledge and skills for bereavement care (12 items), organizational support (6 items), awareness of the needs (3 items), interpersonal skills (3 items), workload influence (2 items), continuous education (2 items), and understanding the grief process (3 items). The factor loading of 31 items within the 7 factors ranged from .60 to .86. For the convergent validity, the construct reliability (CR) ranged from .74 to .94, and the average variance extracted (AVE) ranged from .49 to .73, which is considered acceptable. The discriminant validity showed that the AVEs of the subscales were greater than the square of the correlation coefficient r. The nurses who had experience providing bereavement care (t=4.94, p<.001) or had received bereavement education (t=6.64, p<.001) showed higher K-BCCS values those without experience. The Cronbach's α of 31 items was .93 and ranged from .60 to .94 per subscale. Conclusion: The K-BCCS is a valid and reliable tool for evaluating nurses' confidence in bereavement care.
