  • In order to establish a special school considering the rights of disabled students to receive education and the principle of fair regional placement, this study identified the deviation of regional maintenance status of special education facilities and analyzed and examined their characteristics to provide desirable basic data for the establishment of facilities in the future. As a research method, the main status and maintenance index for each region were calculated based on the status of each special education subject and the disability area by using the statistics and facility data of the Ministry of Education, Special Education Policy Division, and the Ministry of Education of each province. According to the analysis results, large cities tended to rely on special classes and general classes due to the lack of facilities at special schools, and local cities showed uneven results for each disability area and supplemented the system lacking special education support centers. In overall evaluation, special education facilities have not yet been leveled across the country.

  • The aim of this study is to determine factors that affect the competitiveness and the move-in environment of migration companies according to the recent change of location conditions of industrial complexes. The results of analysis show that productive factor and economic factor are related to the main factors that determine the location environment. The resident companies have a strong link to the economic characteristics factors, which seems to be related to the expectation and satisfaction for public support facilities, hospitals, educational institutions, and administrative agencies to be placed in the complex, encouraging companies to be located in the complex. In other words, if the existing economic factors and public support facilities were complemented, it can be inferred that the industrial complex promotion policies will be more effectively planned. Also, transportation and infrastructure facilities are analyzed as successful factors for resident companies. In addition, the economic and productive environments turn out to affect public support facilities and environmental factors of infrastructure as major factors. The results of this study are expected to be a useful guideline in determining the resident policy or external factors for the future industrial complex.

Through this, the study aims to examine the difference in the national approach and basic philosophy about university facilities in Korea and Japan, and also identify the major planning factors and improvement directions when establishing plans for university campuses in the future. The results of this study are as follows. First, Korea tends to promote policies related to university facilities by individual projects centered on a major pending problem or issue, while Japan has been shown to promote national university facility policies under a comprehensive mid-to-long-term plan by establishing a maintenance plan aimed at national university facilities every five years. Second, In the case of the university facility areas, the average university facility area of the examined universities in Japan is about 5.6% larger than the average university facility area in Korea. Additionally, the university facility area per student in Japan is about 13% wider than that of Korea. The total floor area of university facilities in Japan is also about 20.7% larger than that of Korea, and the university facility area per student in Japan is about 56.7% wider than that of Korea as well. Among support facilities, the total floor area of dormitories in Korea was 2.5 times wider than that of Japan, however, the acceptance rate of dormitory in Korea was 5.6% higher than Japan. Third, the university facility criteria items and systems of two countries are similar. but there are slight differences in the content such as the method of calculating student capacity, division classification, and the method of calculating the number of teachers.

  • The proportion of old buildings over 40 years among all school facilities is about 20%. The degree of deterioration is also increasing, resulting in safety risks that reduce the residential safety of faculty and students or a poor environment that does not meet the new curriculum and educational conditions is rapidly increasing the need for repair and renovation of school facilities. In order to fully fulfill its role as a space for implementing education, school architecture requires an understanding of the national curriculum and a clear criterion for determining the relationship between education and space. In order to set the evaluation criteria for deteriorated school architecture, this study presents judgment data centered on quantification and accuracy so that relevant personnel can utilize scientific analysis, research and development of detailed and systematic comprehensive evaluation indicators, and quantified evaluation methods.

  • This study analyzes the reality of the overall operating system, such as recognition and satisfaction with school field support work system of the Education Facilities Management Center, recognition level of restructuring of work areas, and the direction of improvement for school facility maintenance support in various types of future learning environments. To analyze the problem of this study, a survey was conducted on 290 education administrative officials in Gyeonggi-do. First, school site awareness and work performance satisfaction of the Educational Facilities Management Center were evaluated as "below average," and it is necessary to improve the qualitative work area that is practically helpful to schools. Second, in the area of organizational operation, it is desirable to avoid simple tasks with a low evaluation of "below average" and to switch to an operating system that improves efficiency. Third, the need for the facility environment area (professionalism, safety) was the highest, but the center's ability and work processing level were evaluated very low as "below average," so it is urgent to improve the center's capacity. Fourth, in the area of social and educational policy change, the center received a high score for the need for access from the perspective of a learning environment linked to future education. Therefore, a policy review on the restructuring and improvement of work areas suitable for this is necessary.

  • In this research, we analyze the factors considered by parents of subjects of special education when selecting special educational institutions for children, and present proposals for improving the placement plan of special subjects, The results are as follows. First, for special education subjects, a considerable number of kindergarten processes are required for compulsory education, and special education subjects are selected for elementary school entrance. Second, the factors of choosing the special educational institution of parents of special education subjects are the expertise of the teacher and the operation of the curriculum, the type and extent of child disability, the distance to school and the way of commuting, educational facilities, Treatment room etc). Thirdly, it was found that parents' choices are the largest among schools in the school area, as to how special education institutions of special education subjects are arranged. For proper placement planning, it is necessary to accurately grasp the number of subjects for special education, so the selection time of the subjects of special education shall be the process of kindergarten at the latest, the disparity of special education institutions and the disparity of educational facilities It is necessary to set school books to solve it.
