It has been suggested that character education, taught only in ethics and social science, should be integrated into other subjects including science education. In terms of inquiry and the nature of science, science education is related to character education, which is emphasized by SSI (Socioscientific Issue) education. Followed by necessity of character education, the Character Education Promotion Act was established in 2015. To investigate what and how character education is conducting in schools, analysis of curriculums and textbooks is needed in terms of elements underlined in the Character Education Promotion Act. For this purpose, this research analyzed general remarks and science sections in the 2009 revised and the 2015 revised curriculums and science textbooks based on the 2009 revised curriculum with regard to essential virtues in the Character Education Promotion Act. Results showed that parts of essential virtues were included in both curriculums, of which elements were inconsistent with those of science textbooks. Curriculums and textbooks reflecting whole elements faithfully need to be developed.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficiency of a government-supported project developed to improve the quality and hygiene levels of food, service, and restaurant facilities for foreign customers in Chungnam province. Data was collected from 53 restaurant owners and restaurant managers. This study empirically analyzes and presents a mode with key factors influencing transfer of training and training satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis methods were used to test the relationships among four factors for transfer of training, training satisfaction, and retraining intentions. There are three main findings. First, teaching methods and relevance factors had a significant effect on transfer, but instructor and education environment factors did not. Second, the teaching methods, instructor and education environment factors had a direct influence on training satisfaction, but the relevance factor didn't. Third, transfer and satisfaction both were influenced significantly by retraining. Based on the findings of this study, a trainer, designing training curriculum for a production environment, should emphasize the role of the trainer and focus on learning tools. Finally, a thorough learning design is needed for learner's satisfaction.
The purpose of the research was to develop an analysis framework for Korean mathematics textbooks from a critical mathematics education perspective. For this, we conducted a comprehensive literature review regarding critical theory, critical education, and critical mathematics education. Based on the literature review, we derived a preliminary framework for textbook analysis. To validate the preliminary framework delphi survey was carried out twice with 21 expert panelists in the field of mathematics education and multicultural education. The first delphi survey was conducted with open-ended questions to investigate diverse opinions regarding educational goals, contents, and teaching methods of critical mathematics education. The second delphi survey was conducted with Likert-type scale and it was analyzed using Mean, Contents Validity Ratio, Degree of Consensus. As the result of the whole research procedures, the final analysis framework was developed consisting of four categories: classical knowledge, community knowledge, communicative knowledge, and political knowledge. A development of the analysis framework from a critical mathematics education perspective could give a significant impact on the mathematics curriculum or mathematic teacher education in the Korea and a meaningful initial step for the effort of practicing critical mathematics education. It is expected that this study could not only incite consideration for the better mathematics education but also expand the prospect of research and practice in mathematics education. This study would provide a new paradigm of future mathematics education with which to teach and guide students to become members of world civil society with mathematical power and critical competency.

First, the number of papers in home economics education published in the KCI listing increased gradually to 186 in the 2000s and 315 in the 2010s. The academic journals in which home economics education papers were published have been diversified to 16 in the 2000s and 22 in the 2010s. 60% of all papers were published in the 'Journal of Korean Home Economics Education Association', and since 2018, the number of papers published in the 'Journal of Learner-Centered Curriculum and Instruction' has increased dramatically. Second, in the 2000s and 2010s, home economics education studies published in KCI were categorized into home economics education content analysis, home economics educational program development & application, curriculum analysis, perception survey & direction exploration. In the 2000s, 'Home Economics Teacher' appeared as the main keyword, and a lot of perception survey & direction exploration were conducted. Relatively, the influence of 'development' increased in the 2010s, and many studies were conducted to analyze home economics education contents and develop and apply home economics programs. This study has significance in that it analyzed the research trend of HEE by expanding the analysis target and analysis period of the existing studies.

A change in industrial education has been demanded with the emergence of rapidly changing knowledge-based society. Keeping pace with the current trend, the Specialized High Schools should analyze what their students need and suggest what they should do to be qualified for work. Even though the education paradigm is in the process of change from traditional industrial society to knowledge-based society, the Specialized High School still focuses on the out-of-trend traditional curriculum. Now, it's a time to introduce new curriculum which analyzes on-the-spot tasks and enhances students' creativity and capability to solve problems. For this study, new '3-Type school curriculum' models are examined. Furthermore, the on-the-spot based curriculum, which nurtures students' creativity and capability to take care of things should be adopted. This paper showed a direction toward the activation and generalization of the industrial education by specifying to which direction the 3-type curriculum-based the Specialized Vocational High School should move.
