A Study on Teaching-Learning Strategies for Flow Experience in e-Learning Environment (e-Learning 환경에서의 몰입(Flow) 경험을 위한 교수 학습 전략 연구)

  • It is necessary to design a careful teaching-learning plan for motivating learners as well as helping them to maintain the learning process so that the advantages and effects of e-Learning system are fully exploited. In order to solve the problems in motivation and maintaining learning, we reviewed the Flow Theory and its relevant previous research materials, analyzed the technological and environmental characteristics of e-Learning, and developed the teaching-learning strategies to promote flow experiences fit for the characteristics of e-Learning. Additionally, to verify the effectiveness of these strategies, we have implemented an e-Learning system based on the strategies and applied it in the actual teaching-learning field. As a result, it has been proved that the teaching-leaning strategies developed for flow experiences in this study were helpful in improving learners' flow level and, consequently, contributed to the enhancement of their academic achievements.

The Effect of Academic Emotions, Learning Flow and Perceived Teaching Presence on Academic Achievement among Undergraduate Nursing Students in an Uncontacted Online Class Learning (간호대학생의 학습정서, 학습몰입, 인지된 교수실재감이 비대면 온라인 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to identify the effect of academic emotions, learning flow and perceived teaching presence for academic achievement of nursing students in an uncontacted online class learning in the convergence society. The participants were 127 nursing students; data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, pearson correlation, multiple regression. It was found that: nursing students showed higher score at academic emotions, higher learning flow, and higher perceived teaching presence, higher score for academic achievement. The main factors influencing academic achievement were academic emotions, learning flow and perceived teaching presence. They explained about 42.7% of the academic achievement. Therefore, when operating uncontacted online classes for nursing students, it is necessary to consider the factors of learners, the personal efforts of the instructor, and systematic support for strengthening the instructor's capabilities.

A Study on the Mediating Effect of Commitment to Learning in the Relationship between Instructor Communication and Reselection of the same Instructor - Focused on college students in lifelong education - (교수자 커뮤니케이션과 교수자 재선택 관계에서의 학습몰입의 매개효과 - 성인대학생을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to investigate the mediating effects of commitment to learning on the relationship between instructor communication and reselection of the same instructor among college students in lifelong education. For this purpose, the investigator conducted a survey with college students in lifelong education attending a two or three year college or a university in Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk Province and analyzed a final total of 498 questionnaires with the SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical programs. The findings were as follows: instructors' verbal and non-verbal communication had total significant effects on the path of reselection of the same instructor by college students in lifelong education, but it had no direct significant effects on reselection of the same instructor. Instructors' verbal and non-verbal communication had indirect effects on reselection of the same instructor by college students in lifelong education via commitment to learning. These findings imply that if instructors make use of their verbal and non-verbal communication in lessons for college students in lifelong education according to their characteristics, it will be able to increase their commitment to learning as well as satisfaction with lessons.

Effects of Self-Regulation, Teaching Presence, Learning Engagement on Computational Thinking in Online SW Liberal Education (온라인 SW교양교육에서 자기조절, 교수실재감, 학습몰입이 컴퓨팅사고력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the mediating effect of learning engagement in the relationship between self-regulation, teaching presence and computational thinking in online SW education. To verify the research problem, a blended learning model adopted SW liberal course at A Women's University located in Seoul, which 94 students were enrolled in, was selected. The results of this study and the implications are as follows: First, it was found that learning engagement mediated the relationship between self-regulation and computational thinking. Second, it was found that learning engagement mediated the relationship between teaching presence and computational thinking. This study suggested a plan to improve learners' active engagement and self-regulation strategy in online SW education. In addition, it is significant that this study considered a method for learners to perceive teaching presence in online learning environment.

A Study on effect of educational satisfaction on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment among new Police officers (신임경찰 교육만족도가 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the new police education will affect job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Based on the Central Police Academy, the new policemen(288th newly appointed officers) were surveyed as a survey of educational satisfaction(education, curriculum, teaching facilities, teaching facilities), and awareness of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The results are summarized as follows. First, Educational satisfaction has shown that there is a static correlation between job satisfaction and organizational involvement. Second, the teaching ability has a significant effect on all the factors contributing to job satisfaction, in relation to the effect of the educational satisfaction on job satisfaction. Third, in relation to the effect of the educational satisfaction on organizational commitment, the teaching ability has had a significant effect on all the factors involved in organizational involvement, and education courses and educational facilities have shown significant effects on continuance commitment among organizational commitment. These results suggest that education for working subjects should be conducted in a more case-oriented instruction, and the practice of on-the-job training is required to ensure practical hands-on learning.

Factors Affecting Academic Achievement of Nursing Students in Non-face-to-face Distance Learning (비대면 원격 수업에서 간호대학생의 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study examined the relationship of self-directed learning ability, teaching presence, learning flow and academic achievement of nursing students in non-face-to-face class. Data were collected through self reported structured questionnaire in 146 nursing students from June 19 to 20, 2021. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 23.0. As a result this study, academic achievement was positively correlated with self-directed learning ability, teaching presence and learning flow. As result regression analysis, learning flow, self-directed learning ability and teaching presence explained 67% of the academic achievement in nursing students. Therefore, based on this study it will be more effective to improve academic achievement of instructional design and customized instructional methods that can improve self-directed learning ability, teaching reality and learning commitment are applied together in non-face-to-face classes.

  • Virtual reality entered a new phase with the introduction of wearable devices represented by Oculus. This study proposes an immersive virtual reality based on Oculus Rift that enables direct immersion in virtual reality from a first-person perspective for English learning. At this point, it is meaningful to provide considerations when designing instruction for language learning through a comprehensive and integrated review of immersive virtual reality. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to find a way to maximize the application of language education in the immersive virtual world. And for the design elements for English learning through immersive virtual reality, the setting of learning theory, consideration of differences in learning, selection of learning tasks, regulation of teachers' influence, determination of types of applied senses, flexibility of design, and usage environment were suggested. By integrating the results, various discussions and directions for instructional design were presented.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of teaching style of liberal arts physical education professors to class satisfaction, Class flow and physical education attitude of liberal arts students. A study was conducted on a total of 221 liberal arts students. For the collected data, a confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis (Cronbach' α) for the measurement tool were performed using the SPSS 26.0 and Amos 21.0 programs. And correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. The liberal arts physical education Professor's teaching stlye affects the student's class satisfaction (educational satisfaction, environmental satisfaction, psychosocial satisfaction, physical satisfaction), and students' class flow (class immersion, purpose experience, consciousness agreement, challenge, control, Integration). In addition, it has various effects on the student's attitude toward physical education(relationships, physical activity, active participation, health and physical fitness, positive emotions). Efforts to strengthen the competence of liberal arts physical education professors will be needed to revitalize the liberal arts physical education.

A Study on the Relationship of the Professors' Transformational Leadership with the Students' Departmental Identification, Study Engagement and Organizational Citizenship Behavior to School (교수의 변혁적 리더십과 학생의 학습몰입, 학과동일시 및 학교를 위한 시민행동 간의 관계 연구)

  • The researchers of the organizational behavior have been interested in the performances of transformational leadership in various environments and cultures. In this study, data were collected to find out the effects of professors' transformational leadership on students’ departmental identification, study engagement and organizational citizenship behavior to school. This study also tested indirect effect between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior via departmental identification and study engagement. The results indicated significant direct relation between professors' transformational leadership and departmental identification, study engagement and citizenship behavior to school. But direct relation between study engagement and citizenship behavior was not found. Departmental identification was found as a mediator between transformational leadership and citizenship behavior. This study suggests that professors' transformational leadership is quite necessary for school, department and student.

Effect of Faculty-Student Interaction, Career commitment on Self-Directed Learning Ability in Later Learner's Students (만학도 간호대학생의 교수-학생 상호작용, 진로몰입이 자기주도학습능력에 미치는 영향요인)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of faculty-student interaction, Career commitment on Self-Directed Learning Ability in Later Learner's Students. The subjects of this study were 162 nursing students between the ages of 25 and 64 from 4 universities located in G metropolitan city and J province. The collected data were subjected to t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression using SPSS 24.0 program. As a result of the study, the factors influencing self-directed learning ability were in the order of career commitment, faculty-student interaction, and motivation for university entrance among, and it was found that the variables explained 29.5% of the self-directed learning ability of older nursing students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an intervention plan that can promote self-directed learning ability by improving the level of career commitment and faculty-student interaction of older nursing students.
