  • Previous studies from domestic and abroad are accumulating information on how to reason students' continuous changes through teaching experiments. These studies deal with scenes in which students who make 'smooth reasoning' and 'chunky reasoning' construct mathematical results together in teaching experiments. However, in order to analyze their results in more detail, it is necessary to check what kind of results a student reasoning in a specific way constructs for the tasks of previous studies. According to the need for these studies, the researcher conducted a total of 14 teaching experiments on one first-year high school student who was found to make 'chunky reasoning'. In this study, it was possible to observe a scene in which a student who makes 'chunky reasoning' constructs an output similar to 'a mathematical result constructed by students with various reasoning methods(smooth reasnoning or chunky reasoning) in previous studies.' In particular, the student who participated in this study observed a consistent construction method of constructing the function of 'time-speed' from the function of 'time-distance'. The researcher expected that information on this student's distinctive construction methods would be helpful for subsequent studies.

  • This study reviewed the literature on the self-distancing method for emotion regulation. Self-distancing refers to taking a step back in dealing with one's own experiences and interpreting them in a relatively objective manner. Studies have indicated that self-distancing affects cognitive and emotional processes, which are particularly beneficial in regulating negative emotions. Therefore, this study focused on organizing previous results to summarize their meaning, assess means of measurement, and analyze possible effects. Above all, the related concepts of an observer's rational perspective and self-reflection were presented to clarify the definition of self-distancing, followed by a discussion of its measurement. Based on this, the effects of self-distancing were introduced according to their emotional, cognitive, physiological, developmental, and behavioral aspects. However, despite repeated verification of the positive effects of self-distancing, there are several inconsistencies that require consideration. Finally, we suggested the study's academic and practical implications and recommended directions for further research.

  • Stereo camera is drawing attention as an essential sensor for future intelligence robot system since it has the advantage of acquiring not only distance but also other additive information for an object. However, it cannot match correlated point on target image for low textured region or periodic patterned region such as wall of building or room. In this paper, we propose a stereo matching technique that increase the matching performance by fusing belief propagation stereo matching algorithm and local distance measurements of 2D-laser range finder in order to overcome this kind of limitation. The proposed technique adds laser measurements by referring quad-tree based segment information on to the local-evidence of belief propagation stereo matching algorithm, and calculates compatibility function by reflecting over-segmented information. Experimental results of the proposed method using simulation and real test images show that the distance information for some low textured region can be acquired and the discontinuity of depth information is preserved by using segmentation information.

  • In the present study, a numerical investigation was conducted to analyze the effect of the distance between the adjacent injectors on the characteristics of flow structure, fuel penetration, and air/fuel mixing. Numerical results were validated with experimental data using a single injection. Subsequently, the same injector geometry and properties were applied on a non-reacting flow simulation with multiple injectors. Total pressure loss, penetration height, and mixing efficiency were compared with the distance between the injectors. The results showed that each injected gas merged into a single stream, resulting in the 2D-like flow fields under the condition of short distance and lower mixing efficiency along with higher total pressure loss. When the distance between the injectors increased, total pressure loss reduced and mixing efficiency increased due to the weakening of interactions between the injected gases.

  • An adaptive K-best detection scheme is proposed for MIMO systems. The proposed scheme changes the number of survivor paths, K based on the degree of the reliability of Zero-Forcing (ZF) estimates at each K-best step. The critical drawback of the fixed K-best detection is that the correct path's metric may be temporarily larger than K minimum paths metrics due to imperfect interference cancellation by the incorrect ZF estimates. Based on the observation that there are insignificant differences among path metrics (ML distances) when the ZF estimates are incorrect, we use the ratio of the minimum ML distance to the second minimum as a reliability indicator for the ZF estimates. So, we adaptively select the value of K according to the ML distance ratio. It is shown that the proposed scheme achieves the significant improvement over the conventional fixed K-best scheme. The proposed scheme effectively achieves the performance of large K-best system while maintaining the overall average computation complexity much smaller than that of large K system.

  • The characteristics of supersonic coaxial/off-axis jet impingements on a slanted kerf surface were experimentally studied, to investigate the role of the assist gas that removes molten materials from cut zone formed by laser machining. In this parametric study, hundreds of high-resolution schlieren images were obtained for various gas pressures, distances between nozzle exit and kerf surface, kerf widths, and alignments of off-axis nozzle. It was noticed that simply increasing the assist gas pressure was not effective in eliminating the flow separation that occurs downstream of the kerf surface. However, it was also observed that by increasing the kerf width and utilizing off-axis nozzles, the separation of the assist gas on the kerf surface can be weakened. The effect of the distance between the nozzle exit and the kerf surface on the characteristics of separation occurring on the kerf surface was found to be lower in the case of supersonic nozzles than that in the case of sonic nozzles.

  • Cadmium telluride films were grown by close-spaced sublimation(CSS) technique. The effects of various deposition parameters such as ambient pressure, source- to-substrate spacings and temperatures on the growth rate and the microstructure were investigated. The growth mode of CdTe films showed a transition as the ambient pressure changed. This transition was interpreted in terms of the diffusion limited transport and the sublimation limited transport of Cd and $Te_2$ vapors. Experimental results indicated that the transition of growth mode was related with the mean free path of gas molecules. The growth rate and the microstructure of CdTe films were affected by the source type- bulk or powder. This change was due to the temperature difference at the source surface. XRD and SEM analysis showed that the growth rate was one of the main factors to determine CdTe microstructures.

BADGE 375 mg/kg/day

  • The parameters of lens such as focal length, focus, and aperture stop changes while shooting the scenes with zoom lens. Especially, zooming action dramatically changes the geometry of lens system that causes significant change of lens model. We investigated how the lens model changes while zooming in general shooting condition. Each parameters of lens model was estimated and checked whether they can be modeled well in the condition of auto-controlling focus, aperture and vibration reduction. In order to do this, calibration images were taken, modeled in different fecal length setting. And changing patterns of models were inspected to find out if there is some elements that have some particular pattern in changing with respect to focal length. The result showed us that although we didn't control the focus and aperture setting, there's specific changing patterns in radial and do-centering distortion. Especially, the strong linear correlation was found between coefficient of $r^2$ and focal length. It is expected that many parts of distortion can be eliminated without additional self calibration even if zoom operation is done when shooting the scenes if we know its fecal length and model of this coefficient.
