  • GPS/GIS and RFID technologies have been changing the paradigm af our society toward ubiquitous era. Especially, geographically distributed mobile agents with transporting objects need to be automatically recognizable and traceable under certain conditions. To do this, fundamental theories and technologies are required to specify and verify spatial and temporal behaviors of agents on geographical space. This paper presents a new formal method, called Calculus of Real-Time Distribution, Mobility, and Interaction (CaRDMI), for this purpose. For specification, CaRDMI defines a map, mobile agents with transporting objects. The movement of on agent is represented by a path on the map, consisting of a list of nodes and a list of edges with spatial and temporal constraints. Interactive constraints among agents are represented by synchronization modes on objects at nodes. These constraints are distinguishable features of CaRDMI from other methods. Especially, many-to-many timed synchronization constraints are noticeable. For verification, CaRDMI presents the spatial, temporal and interactive deduction rules and the spatial and temporal equivalence relations.

  • This study examined how students' satisfaction with their major department influences their organizational commitment and intention to pursue a career in tourism-related fields among college students majoring in hospitality and tourism. The results indicated that their overall satisfaction with their department affected positively their organizational commitment but not the behavioral intention to pursue career in the tourism-related fields. Organizational commitment, on the other hands, exerted a positively significant influence behavioral intention to pursue tourism-related career. The results of this study underscored the needs for the educators to manage students' psychological attachment to the department they belong to and their major field of study. Continuous relationship-building efforts should be made for the students to pursue tourism-related career after graduation. Such efforts include efficient communication between faculty and students, extended supports from the school and alumni to the students, and last but not the least, sufficient supports from colleges.

  • Questionnaire data of 287 patrons of Tesco's Homeplus, Carrefour, Ermart, and Wal-rnart in the northern Daegu, Korea, using a structural equation model, were analyzed to investigate the hierarchical effects of values on discount store re-patronage intention as a measure of store loyalty, mediated by customers' evaluations of store associations. It was revealed that while customers' social affiliation value has a positive effect on store atmosphere evaluation, customers' self-actualization value has a positive impact on both after-sale service and employee services. It was also revealed that three associations such as access to a store, interior design, and employee services in their descending order have strong positive influences on the formation of customers' re-patronage intention. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed in the conclusion.

  • As the use of ICT became a part of daily social life, online community has emerged as a new type of social organization. Online community is a virtual space which enables many people to participate and contribute together to collective knowledge. Anonymity in online communities can encourage active social participation by people with various social constraints, however, anonymity can also lead to serious social pathology. As a result, it is necessary to study on what is fundamentally influencing human behavior and how people's behavior is controlled in anonymous online community. This study focuses on human identity and investigate the factors affecting human behavior control in anonymous online environment by examining various aspects of identity in online discussion community. This study empirically verifies the causal relationship between factors, including social & technical anonymities, various identity dimensions, intrinsic motivation to participate in the community, group norm conformity, and quality of discussion. It also analyzes the difference between groups by the level of anonymity, gender, age, community usage period, and discussion topic. Based on the findings, this research provides theoretical and practical implications for online community management strategies and a better culture on Internet discussion.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the estrus synchronization and superovulation of pigs with hormone treatments. Three different kinds of procedures for synchronization and superovulation were used as follow: I) gilts in natural estrus behavior (control): 2) gilts synchronized with 20mg altrenogest for 9 days regardless of the estrus cycle; 3) gilts received PG600 (400IU PMSG + 200 IU hCG) in 15 day of the estrus cycle; and then gilts administrated with PMSG (1,500 IU) and hCG (750 IU) after altrenogest and PG600 treatment for superovulation. Estrus was checked daily with a boar, in estrus synchronization, the intervals from hormone treatment to estrus were different between PG600 (43/47) and altrenogest (13/53) within 6 days. The percentage of animals displaying a estrus response were not different by hormone treatments. The average number of corpora lutea (C.L) and ovulated embryos were similar between PG600 25.4${\pm}$13.1, 19.0$\pm$12.8 and altrenogest 25.5${\pm}$0.7, 15.0${\pm}$4.2, respectively, but was increased (P<0.05) by hormone treatment compared to that 12.9${\pm}$1.8, 12.7${\pm}$3.9 in the control. The number of normal embryos after ovulation was higher in the control than hormone treatment. Therefore, these results suggest that altrenogest and PG600 treatment could be a valuable for cut down the labour and cost by synchronization.

  • This study examined the mediating effects of the adult educator's characteristics on the relationship between the characteristics of the participants attending adult continuing education and the happiness index of lifelong learning, the motivation of participating in learning and the institution characteristics. The research results showed that there is no difference in the happiness index of lifelong learning according to the sex of the adult learners, education level, age, residence, participation experience of lifelong learning, occupation, and type of lifelong programming being participated. The characteristics of adult learners do not have a direct impact on the happiness index of lifelong learning. The characteristics of adult learners affect the characteristics of adult educators, motivation of participating in learning and institution characteristics. Although the characteristics of educators do not affect the happiness index of lifelong learning, the motivation of participating in learning and institution characteristics have a positive impact on the happiness index of lifelong learning. While the characteristics of adult educators do not have a mediating role for the characteristics of adult learners and happiness index of lifelong learning, the motivation of participating in learning and institution characteristics have shown a complete mediation for the characteristics of adult learners and the happiness index of lifelong learning. These findings suggest that the participating motivation of adult learners, adult educator's improved understanding on adult learners and education quality of education institution are very important for increasing the happiness index through a lifelong learning experience.

  • This study reviewed and analyzed English-written studies using a rhythmic tapping task for motor control of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Inclusion criteria for the participants were children with ASD and typically developing (TD) children. The keywords used for the outcome variables included rhythmic tapping, timed movement, and synchronization. Ten studies were included in the final analysis. The included studies were analyzed in terms of target variables, auditory stimuli, and measurements. A meta-analysis was also conducted to examine how children with ASD performed rhythmic tapping tasks compared to children with TD. In the identified studies, five variables were used: timed movement control, timing reproduction, bimanual coordination, synchronization, and interpersonal synchronization. It was found that rhythmic tapping performance was analyzed in terms of accuracy and precision of the movement and reported as significantly correlated to social skills measures. The meta-analysis results showed that there were no significant differences between the ASD and TD groups in continuing rhythmic movements when the presented auditory stimuli ended, whereas there were significant group differences in their ability to maintain their motor performance consistently and to synchronize with auditory cue or with others. These results support the rhythmic tapping task as an effective measure for not only motor control but also social skills development in children with ASD.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the integration and clinical practice stress of nursing students and to understand the relationship with department satisfaction. Data collection was from June to July 2021. Data were collected through questionnaires consisting of scales of integration, clinical practice stress, and departmental satisfaction, targeting 3rd and 4th grade nursing students who have had more than one clinical practice experience. A total of 394 copies were analyzed using the SPSS program to analyze the data. As a result of the study, integration showed a positive correlation with department satisfaction (r=.412, p<.01) and a negative correlation with clinical practice stress (r=-.193, p<.01). The predictive factors affecting the department satisfaction of nursing students were integration (β=.406, p<.001) and admission motivation (β=.166, p=.006), which accounted for 20% of the total variance. Integration Performance It was confirmed that the motivation for entering the nursing department affects department satisfaction. In order to increase the department satisfaction of nursing students, it is thought that it is necessary to operate an integration promotion program and department adaptation program from the early stage of admission.
