Study on the Structural Safety for the Non-Open excavation method by Using Steel Tubular Roof (대구경 강관을 이용한 비개착공법의 구조적 안전성에 대한 연구)

  • The development and use of underground space in the city have been expanded considerably worldwide due to the growing population and traffic. Because the construction of underground causes some problems including traffic jam and safety accidents, the non-open excavation construction method are commonly used. NTR (New Tubular Roof) method which is one of the non-open excavation method is investigated in this study. The structural safety of underground structures by using NTR method is evaluated by ANSYS 9.0. The tubular roof according to diameters are analysed by ANSYS 9.0 at critical construction step. Finally, according the diameter and thickness of tubular roof the stress nad dispacement are analyzed and then the The efficient use of tubular roof is suggested from relationship between tubular's thickness and stress condition.

Characteristics of Scour around Pipeline in Current (흐름에 의한 관로의 세굴특성)

  • This study is to investigate the characteristics of scour around pipeline in current and hydraulic model tests were performed. All the model test are 45 cases, which were conducted with velocities of 0.2 m/s to 0.5 m/s and pipe diameters of 45, 60, 90 mm. The developments of scour around pipeline were observed and equilibrium scour depths were recorded due to variation of pipe diameter and current velocity. According to the results, the equilibrium scour depth was proportional to current velocity and pipe diameter. The effect of diameter of pipeline on the equilibrium scour depth was bigger than current velocity. The correlations of relative scour depth and dimensionless number such as a Reynolds number, Shields number, and Froude number were analyzed. The Froude number and the relative scour depth had a high correlation of 0.900.

Explicit Design of Uniformly-Rough Pipe on a Slope with Pumping Power (균일조도 동력경사관의 양해법 설계)

  • When a pipe is deployed on a sloping bed, pumping power required for a discharge can be estimated immediately without any iteration process with an explicit form of a friction factor equation. Pumping power being given, however, traditional method requires an iteration process for the solution of discharge and pipe diameter even for the uniformly-rough pipe. You (1955b) has suggested explicit equations for the estimation of discharge and pipe diameter particularly for the cases of pipe on a slopintg bed without pumping and pipe on a horizontal bed with a pumping power. Based on his approach and previous results, the present researchers have developed explicit equations of discharge and pipe diameter for the general case of pipe on a sloping bed with a pumping power. The equations of boundary criteria are also presented in explicit way which render proper choice of various equations suitable for the flow condition between five characteristics. Verification studies are also carried out by applying the explicit equations to a practical example.

The Local Scour around a Slender Pile in Combined Waves and Current (파랑과 흐름이 결합된 공존역에서 파일 주변의 국부세굴)

  • In the study, experiments are performed in the mixing region combined wave and current to investigate the characteristics of local scour around a slender pile. Wave generator and current generator are used for the experiments and currents are co-directions with the waves. The local scour depths around the pipeline are obtained according to the various pipe diameters, wave periods, wave heights, and current velocities. The experiments show that the maximum equilibrium local scour depth increases with pipe diameter, wave period, wave height, and current velocity. Using the experimental results, the correlations of scour depth and parameters such as Shields parameter ($\theta$), Froude number (Fr), Keulegan-Carpenter number (KC), Ursell number ($U_R$), modified Ursell number ($U_{RP}$) and ratio of velocities ($U_c/U_c+U_m$) are analyzed. In the mixing region combined with waves and currents, The Froude number of single parameters is the main parameter to cause the local scour around a slender pile due to waves and current and this means that current governs the scour within any limits of the currents.

  • The current environmental issue is how a dwelling adapts into a given climate in which the design is applied by ecology without damaging the natural environment. In another word, the main issue in the twenty first century will be how we meet the human needs to dwellings applied by the residential environment. Therefore, we have to provide a hospitable place for residents' mental and physical health through "Green Design," emerging as the critical design of urban collective dwellings. Based on these conceptions, the purpose of this study is to suggest the way of designing the urban collective dwelling applied by ecology, proffering wealthy life style to residents with the preservation of natural environment as applying an ecological concept into the design of collective dwellings that represent a contemporary housing type for urban residents. In order to design the urban collective dwelling applied by ecology, this study introduces the outdoor design in friendly surroundings, the collective construct of a delightful housing, and the organic connection between inside and outside rooms.

Mass Transfer Characteristics of the Carbon Dioxide-Water Slug Flow in Vertical Small-Bore Tubes (작은 직경의 수직관을 흐르는 이산화탄소-물 슬러그 유동의 물질전달 특성)

  • Volumetric mass transfer coefficient was measured with carbon dioxide and deionized water for the gas-liquid cocurrent slug flow in 2, 5 and 8 mm tubes. Measurement was repeated with and without a vertical section in an experimental setup and entrance effect was found greater for smaller tubes. Volumetric mass transfer coefficient in the vertical section was found generally a strong function of gas- and liquid-phase superficial velocities. 5 mm- and 8 mm-tube data are highly consistent each other but not with 2 mm tube.

  • 형광램프의 절전화에 있어서 기본적으로 고려해야 할 점은 램프측의 절전은 램프전력을 감소시키고, 안정기측의 절전은 램프전류를 감소시킴으로써 이루어진다. 형광램프의 절전화에 있어 핵심요소는 봉입기체의 변경, 관경의 세관화 그리고 형광체의 개량에 있다. 즉, 램프 전력을 절감하기 위해 최적의 봉입기체를 선택하도록 하고, 램프전류를 억제하기 위해 관경을 줄이는 한편, 관경의 축소에 따른 형광체의 열화를 막기 위해 3파장 형광체와 같은 새로운 형광체를 사용해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 FPL36W에 대해 전기적 특성시험과 안정기수명시험 및 램프수명말기시험, 저온에서의 온 오프 시험 등을 실시하여 전자식 안정기 성능을 향상시키는 방안을 모색하였다.

A Sighting Survey of Dolphin Watching in the Northeastern Waters of Jeju (제주도 북동해역에서 관경을 위한 목시조사)

  • This study presents the results of basic sighting surveys conducted for dolphin watching from 2004 to 2006 in the northeastern waters of Jeju. The sighting probability of dolphins (bottlenose dolphin, Tursiops truncatus) was 71.9% (82 sightings out of 114 surveys). The dolphin's attractive behaviors observed included leaping, tail or peduncle slapping and surfing. The findings of this study provide useful baseline data for dolphin watching in the northeastern waters of Jeju.

  • Experimental results for performance characteristics of HCs refrigerant R-1270 and HCFC refrigerant R-22 during refrigeration system using capillary tube are presented. The system consists of compressor, condenser, capillary tube, evaporator and peripheral devices. Length and diameter of capillary tube are varied for this investigation. The refrigerant mass flow increased as the diameter of capillary tube increased and the length of capillary tube decreased. A refrigeration capacity and compressor work of R-1270 in same length and diameter of capillary tube showed the higher values than those of R-22. A coefficient of performance showed the highest value when the length and diameter of capillary tube are 105 cm and 1.8 mm in this experimental conditions.

  • IoT(Internet of Things) 기술이 급속도로 발전함에 따라 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있으며, 새로운 부가가치를 창출하고 있다. 최근에는 IoT 기술을 접목하여 도시 내부에 자동화된 농작물 재배시설을 설비하여 재배된 농작물을 직접 현지에 바로 공급할 수 있는 운영시스템을 구축하고 있다. 본 연구는 도심지 내부의 건물 옥상이나 농작물을 재배할 수 있는 임의의 공간에 온실을 설치하여 작물을 재배할 수 있는 환경을 원격으로 관리하는데 있다. 온실 내부의 환경 데이터를 계측하기 위한 온도, 습도, 조도, 토양상태, CO2 센스를 설치하여 온실 내부의 환경을 라즈베리파이2(raspberry Pi2)를 활용하여 계측하였다. 원격으로의 데이터 전송은 Wi-Fi를 이용하여 데이터를 전송하였으며, 중앙에서 관리된 관리정보를 통하여 온실 하우스의 내부 환경을 제어할 수 도록 모터(motor), 환풍기 팬, 조명용 Led, 워터 펌프 등을 제어하도록 하였다. 본 논문의 연구결과를 통하여 비닐하우스의 내부 상태를 계측하고, 다양한 구동장치를 제어할 수 있도록 IoT 기술을 편리하게 적용할 수 있는 라즈베리파이와 원격관리용 스마트 앱(app.)을 이용하여 비닐하우스 내부 관경을 편리하게 관리할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
