  • 콘크리트 공사시방에 있어서 강도 최저강도를 지정하는 것이 오늘날 까지의 관습으로 되어있다. 즉, 몇개의 강도시험의 평균치가 얼마이상 이어야 된다든가, 전부의 콘크리트가 얼마 이상의 압축강도를 갖어야 된다든가, 또는 콘크리트는 28일 압축강도 얼마를 낼 수 있도록 콘크리트 단위용 적당 cement를 몇 kg, 혹은 몇 포대를 사용해야 된다 든가로 규정되는 것이 보통으로 되여 있다. 그러나 이 방법만으로는 그 콘크리트의 실제의 안전율을 예측할 수 없을뿐만 아니라 균질한 콘크리트를 얻는것을 기대할 수가 없을 것이다. 즉 합리적인 시방이 되지 못 한다. 두말 할 것도 없이 우리는 현장에서 건축물설계자가 요구하는 강도의 콘크리트를 얻어야 될 것이고, 또 한편으로 그 강도가 골고루 되어야 할 것이다. 즉 강도의 변화가 심하지 않아야 될 것이다. 이것을 기대하기 위하여 concrete 제조현장에서 통계학적 이론에 입각한 품질관리를 행하는 것이다. 그렇게 하므로서 보다 합리적인 시방이 이루어지게 된다. 현재 미국에서는 콘크리트 공사의 큰 현장에서 concrete 생산 품질관리를 행하고 있는 것으로 안다. 그러면 여하한 이론에 입각하여 현장에서 다량으로 concrete를 생산할때에 그 품질을 관리하느냐 하는 것을 현재 미국에서 propose 되여 있는 안과 ASTM에 규정되여 있는것을 중심으로 소개하고 아울러 concrete 공사에서 강도에 관한 시방을 앞으로 이끄러, 나갈 방향을 제시하고저 한다.

  • The EVMS(Earned Value Management System) comes from C/SCSC which was first released by the United States Department of Defense in December 1967, and preyed very powerful and efficient project management tool from a lot of practices. Although it is an excellent tool, we can not be succeed appling foreign system due to the differences of construction culture and law between the Korean and US construction industries. EAC(Estimate at Completion) is one of the most important functions in the EVMS. The purpose of this study is to propose the improved EAC method according to the performance indices better than old that and to prove from examples. In advance, the improved EAC method is to estimate more exactly costs and to promote efficiency in construction projects.

  • Port Authority System has been regarded as one of the most efficient ways of port administration. The Korean government is now planning to setup PA system in Busan. Busan New Port is located in Kadok Island the ownership of which Busan City and Kyongnam Province have partly of jointly. So The new PA system is expected to have many complicated problems between Busan City and Kyongnam Province in many aspects. The purpose of this paper is to provide an empirical methodology about the best approach to these problems using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process).

  • Most product structural components are assembled by various members and castings except casting products. In such cases, a particular structure is required to move and fix each component. In particular, the safety uncertainty of heavy product assemblies can be linked to large accidents. Thus, the safety design and evaluation of additional structures have become more important. In the field and factories, these additional structures are called handling structures, which are designed and manufactured. As the types of products produced become more diverse, the design and manufacture of a handling structure are also diversified. The results of each evaluation should be derived. We develop a logical design and evaluation method, which was previously designed based on empirical data, for the handling structure.

  • As construction projects become larger and more complex in the construction environment, and as the Building Information Model(BIM) is technically introduced, the demand for construction costs in units of space is increasing. Cost estimating of spacial element can reduce the error in cost prediction method based on cost of work type and to utilize the construction cost data for each space in the design phase. The purpose of this study is to extract spatial statements by utilizing spacial information of quantitative statements based on items that are common elements of the Quantity Take-Off and Bill of Quantity.

  • Tunnel construction is an important part of Korean public construction projects. Although the development of various equipment and technologies has led to advances in tunnel construction methods that are implemented on sites, the cost standards related to such works do not yet reflect the realities of the construction sites. A literature review and site surveys were conducted to suggest reasonable cost standards for tunnel work that reflects the realities of the field. First, each item in the cost standards for tunnel work, as established in the Construction Standard Production Rates, were analyzed. The results were compared with the actual costs implemented on tunnel projects. The key items analyzed included those regarding the work cycle time, such as rock classification, profiling survey, drilling speed, and muck-disposal processing equipment combination, as well as the number of people put to tunneling work. Based on the site survey results, improved estimates regarding the cycle time per one tunnel drilling blast, drilling speed of the machine, muck disposal processing equipment combination, and the number of people put to tunneling work were suggested. This study suggests the cost standards that reflect the realities of tunneling sites. The results are expected to help ensure adequate costs for tunnel construction projects.

Capacity of Urban Freeway Work Zones (도시 고속도로 공사구간 용량 산정)

  • This paper aims to estimate work zone base capacity by the number of lanes for urban freeway. To do this, data were collected from the field survey and the database system maintained by traffic control center, and analyzed with four different methods such as the average maximum observation flow rate, headway, regression analysis, and parameter inspection. The work zone base capacity for urban freeway is estimated based on the average maximum observation flow rate and headway method, which are more reliable methods compared to others. The average capacity is 1,650pcphpl when the design speed is 80km/h. The capacity of four lanes one-way work zones was about 1,700pcphpl, while one of 2 lanes one-way work zones was about 1,600pcphpl. The capacity reduction rates for each are 0.15 and 0.2, respectively. The smaller the number of lane is, the more base capacity is reduced. For verification of results, we estimate the capacity by simulation analysis using PARAMICS, and compare with analytical results by a statistical method. This research can be used for efficient and systemic management of work zone in the urban freeway.

  • The purposes of this study are to survey unfair aspects of specific provisions in the construction contract, and to suggest counterplans and institutional reformations. The research method of this study includes judicial precedent analysis and a questionnaire survey, The results of this study are as follows: 1) the main problems of unfair specific provisions are payment condition, shifting of the responsibility and adjustment in the contract sum. 2) counterplans ate suggested according to the construction phase : bid, construction and completion phase. 3) institutional reformations include firming up regulations, supervision, invigoration of claim, development of variation guideline, and so on.

  • Construction delay claim occurs more often than any other claim. Delay claim impacts adversely the company's existence as well as the project's monetary problem. Because the calculation of the delay is not quantitative, owing not to have enough evidence, it is hard to solve evenly the delay claim. So, it is need to cumulate structurely the construction data or evidence during the construction. This study considers the established study about construction delay claim database and the problems and then presents the relation method between phase schedule and database. Finally, this study established the productivity claim database modeling for construction project through conceptual database modeling and logical database modeling based on information needed to make construction productivity database. So. the purpose of the study is to establish the datamodel for productivity management of construction project for calculating the delay days considering the lost productivity.
