  • The purpose of this research is to find out the differences of participation in common activities and life satisfaction of Swedish senior cohousing residents between the years of 2001 and 2010 by conducting a longitudinal study. The same questionnaire were surveyed nationwide to 186 residents of 8 Senior $G{\aa}rden$ cohousings in 2001 and 127 residents of 4 +40 cohousings in 2010, resulting in total 313 respondents' data. The results show that the +40 cohousing respondents are more likely than Senior $G{\aa}rden$ cohousing respondents to participate in all common activities, especially common meals and common coffee meetings. However, the subjective evaluation of the quantity as well as the contents of participating in common activities does not statistically differ in the two groups and life satisfaction is similarly high with a few differences. The +40 cohousing respondents are less likely to stay at and more likely to move into age-mixed cohousing if they have a chance to move when compared to their Senior $G{\aa}rden$ cohousing counterparts. The result of this research reveals that the general characteristics of senior cohousing residents have been changed and they have become more likely to be active participants of various common activities and have high life satisfaction.

  • Purpose of this study is to investigate influence on preference of cohousing (eg. intention to spread and intention to move in cohousing) according to sense of community, especially in housing life by married people residing in Seoul and its outskirts. Research method used for this study was a social survey. Respondents were 214 people by accidential sampling. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 program using frequency, mean, average, T-test, one-way Anova, Duncan's Multiple Range test and Chi-square test. Findings of this study were as follows. Most respondents took part in interactive activities with colleagues from the same occupation. They Focused on the issues about health, leisure and hobby. The respondents mainly wanted to have interaction for changing recycling materials and education programs for children and juveniles. Degree of ideal relationships with neighbors, they think, were greeting and chatting as well as communication about issues on child-care, education for children, offense-prevention and safety. Although respondents were interested in community life and in interaction with their neighbors, they did not build up communal society due to lack of a sense of belonging in their living areas. While respondents showed positive response about preference of cohousing, there were difference between intention to spread of cohousing and intention to move in cohousing. As a result of this study, the stronger sense of community in housing life meant the more interests in thoughts to spread and to move in cohousing. Therefore, in order to increase sense of community in cohousing, the plan of various communication programs that enables frequent interaction among neighbors is needed. Also, in order to spread cohousing in Korea, promotion of cohousing community and cognitions about it are the most needed.

  • Recently, various universities in Korea have started to work on strengthening their liberal arts and character education through the residential college (RC) system, carrying out various community programs for this purpose. However, because most programs are based on student-to-student relationships, problems can often arise within the community living environments. This paper proposes the roommate assignment algorithm in the context of a residential college, as to effectively achieve character education goals. The clustering algorithm we propose is based on the similarity hypothesis. As a result of the assignment, the degree of similarity (euclidean distance) between roommates was significantly higher than that assigned randomly. The algorithm developed in this study was applied to the data of the students living in the international campus of H University.

Methodologically, this research encompasses a literature review and empirical investigations. In the literature review, the fashion design and creative HAIC processes, and the possibilities of integrating AI in fashion design were considered. In the empirical study, based on the case analysis of generating fashion design through HAIC, the HAIC type according to the role and interaction method, and characteristics of humans and AI was considered, and the HAIC process for fashion design was derived. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, HAIC types in fashion design are divided into four types: AI-driven passive HAIC, human-driven passive HAIC, flexible interaction-based HAIC, and integrated interaction-based value creation HAIC. Second, the stages of the HAIC process for creative fashion design can be broadly divided into semantic data integration, visual ideation, design creation and expansion, design presentation, and design/manufacturing solution and UX platform creation. Third, in fashion design, HAIC contributes to human ability, enhancement of creativity, achievement of efficient workflow, and creation of new values. This research suggests that HAIC has the potential to revolutionize the fashion design industry by facilitating collaboration between humans and AI; consequently, enhancing creativity, and improving the efficiency of the design process. It also offers a framework for understanding the different types of HAIC and the stages involved in the creative fashion design process.

  • In the West, the model for provision of services to the disabled has shifted from a focus on the individual to that of a social model. This shift reflects a movement away from a materialist approach to one that is grounded in idealism. In the context of themultiple service paradigm movement this paper explores trends in the provision of social services to the disabled in Korea. In order to accomplish this task the writer conducted an analysis of Korean Community Chest proposals, existing legislation and legislative systems as well as the disability movement in Korea. Data was collected from the 2003 program proposals submitted to the Korea Community Chest. This data was classified using Priestly's Multiple Service Paradigm of Disability. The results suggest that the Korean Community Chest favored an individual idealist approach. There was only limited support given to proposals that reflect the social model approach and thus issues of accessibility, independent living and inclusion are given short shrift. This paper argues the need for a reversal of this trend through the Korean Community Chest supporting issues mentioned above and that the social model should be given greater attention by this funding body. Implications for practice using the multiple paradigm model are discussed.
