Incremental Regression based on a Sliding Window for Stream Data Prediction (스트림 데이타 예측을 위한 슬라이딩 윈도우 기반 점진적 회귀분석)

  • Time series of conventional prediction techniques uses the model which is generated from the training step. This model is applied to new input data without any change. If this model is applied directly to stream data, the rate of prediction accuracy will be decreased. This paper proposes an stream data prediction technique using sliding window and regression. This technique considers the characteristic of time series which may be changed over time. It is composed of two steps. The first step executes a fractional process for applying input data to the regression model. The second step updates the model by using its information as new data. Additionally, the model is maintained by only recent data in a queue. This approach has the following two advantages. It maintains the minimum information of the model by using a matrix, so space complexity is reduced. Moreover, it prevents the increment of error rate by updating the model over time. Accuracy rate of the proposed method is measured by RME(Relative Mean Error) and RMSE(Root Mean Square Error). The results of stream data prediction experiment are performed by the proposed technique IMQR(Incremental Multiple Quadratic Regression) is more efficient than those of MLR(Multiple Linear Regression) and SVR(Support Vector Regression).

Extraction of Attentive Objects Using Feature Maps (특징 지도를 이용한 중요 객체 추출)

  • In this paper, we propose a technique for extracting attentive objects in images using feature maps, regardless of the complexity of images and the position of objects. The proposed method uses feature maps with edge and color information in order to extract attentive objects. We also propose a reference map which is created by integrating feature maps. In order to create a reference map, feature maps which represent visually attentive regions in images are constructed. Three feature maps including edge map, CbCr map and H map are utilized. These maps contain the information about boundary regions by the difference of intensity or colors. Then the combination map which represents the meaningful boundary is created by integrating the reference map and feature maps. Since the combination map simply represents the boundary of objects we extract the candidate object regions including meaningful boundaries from the combination map. In order to extract candidate object regions, we use the convex hull algorithm. By applying a segmentation algorithm to the area of candidate regions to separate object regions and background regions, real object regions are extracted from the candidate object regions. Experiment results show that the proposed method extracts the attentive regions and attentive objects efficiently, with 84.3% Precision rate and 81.3% recall rate.

Performance analysis and operation simulation of the beamforming antenna applied to cellular CDMA basestation (셀룰러 CDMA 기지국에 beamforming 안테나를 적용하기 위한 동작 시뮬레이션 및 성능해석에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the analytic derivation of the SINR, when a linear array antenna is accommodated into the cellular CDMA basestation receiver, in relation to the two major performance effecting factors in beamforming(BF) applications, i. e., the direction selectivity, which refers to the narrowness of the mainbeam width, and the direction-of-arrival(DOA) estimation accuracy. The analytically derived results are compared with the operation simulation of the receiver realized with the several BF algorithms and their agreements are confirmed, consequently verifying the correctness of the analysis and the operation simulation. In order to investigate separately the effects of the errors occurring in the direction estimation and in the interference suppression, which are the two major functional components of general BF algorithms, both the algorithms of steering BF and the minimum- variance- distortionless-response(MVDR) BF are applied to the analysis. A signal model to reflect the spatially scattering phenomenon of the RF waves entering into the .:nay antenna, which directly affects on the accuracy of the BF algorithm's direction estimation, is also suggested in this paper and applied to the analysis and the operation simulation. It is confirmed from the results that the enhancement of the direction selectivity of the away antenna is not desirable in view of both the implementation economy and the BF algorithm's robustness to the erroneous factors. Such a trade-off characteristics is significant in the sense that it can be capitalized to obtain an economic means of BF implementation that does not severely deteriorate its performance while ensuring the robustness to the erroneous effects, consequently manifesting the significance of the analysis results of this paper that can be used as a design reference in developing BF algorithms to the cellular CDMA system.

  • Unnecessary transportation of resources are one of the major causes that adversely affect construction site work productivity. Therefore, layout related studies have been conducted with efforts to develop management technologies and techniques to minimize the resource transportation made at site-level. However, although the necessity for floor-level layout planning studies has been increasing as buildings have become larger and floors have become more complicated, studies to optimize the transportation of materials inside buildings are currently not being actively conducted. Therefore, in this study, a model was developed using genetic algorithms(GA) that will enable the optimization of the locations of finishing materials on the work-floor. With the established model, the arrangement of diverse materials on complicated floors can be planned and the optimized material layout planning derived from the model can minimize the total material transportation time spent by laborers during their working day. In addition, to calculate travel distances between work sites and materials realistically, the concept of actual travel distances was applied. To identify the applicability of the developed model and compare it with existing methodologies and analyze it, the model was applied to actual high-rise residential complexes.

  • High speed switches have been developing to interconnect a large number of nodes. It is important to analyze the switch performance under various conditions to satisfy the requirements. Queueing analysis, in general, has the intrinsic problem of large state space dimension and complex computation. In fact, The petri net is a graphical and mathematical model. It is suitable for various applications, in particular, manufacturing systems. It can deal with parallelism, concurrence, deadlock avoidance, and asynchronism. Currently it has been applied to the performance of computer networks and protocol verifications. This paper presents a framework for modeling and analyzing ATM switch using stochastic activity networks (SANs). In this paper, we provide the ATM switch model using SANs to extend easily and an approximate analysis method to apply A TM switch models, which significantly reduce the complexity of the model solution. Cell arrival process in output-buffered Queueing A TM switch with finite buffer is modeled as Markov Modulated Poisson Process (MMPP), which is able to accurately represent real traffic and capture the characteristics of bursty traffic. We analyze the performance of the switch in terms of cell-loss ratio (CLR), mean Queue length and mean delay time. We show that the SAN model is very useful in A TM switch model in that the gates have the capability of implementing of scheduling algorithm.

Hardware Design of Rate Control for H.264/AVC Real-Time Video Encoding (실시간 영상 부호화를 위한 H.264/AVC의 비트율 제어 하드웨어 설계)

  • In this paper, the hardware design of rate control for real-time video encoded is proposed. In the proposed method, a quadratic rate distortion model with high-computational complexity is not used when quantization parameter values are being decided. Instead, for low-computational complexity, average complexity weight values of frames are used to calculate QP. For high speed and low computational prediction, the MAD is predicted based on the coded basic unit, using spacial and temporal correlation in sequences. The rate control is designed with the hardware for fast QP decision. In the proposed method, a quadratic rate distortion model with high-computational complexity is not used when quantization parameter values are being decided. Instead, for low-computational complexity, average complexity weight values of frames are used to calculate QP. In addition, the rate control is designed with the hardware for fast QP decision. The execution cycle and gate count of the proposed architecture were reduced about 65% and 85% respectively compared with those of previous architecture. The proposed RC was implemented using Verilog HDL and synthesized with UMC $0.18{\mu}m$ standard cell library. The synthesis result shows that the gate count of the architecture is about 19.1k with 108MHz clock frequency.

A Self Organization of Wavelet Network Structure by Generation and Extinction of Hidden Nodes (은닉노드의 생성 ${\cdot}$ 소멸에 의한 웨이블릿 신경망 구조의 자기 조직화)

  • Previous wavelet network structures are determined by considering the relationship between wavelet windows distribution of training patterns that are transformed into time-frequency space. Because it is separated two algorithms that determines wavelet network structure and that modifies parameters of network, learning process that minimizes output error of network is executed after the network structure is determined. But this method has some weakness that training patterns must be transformed into time-frequency space by additional preprocessing and the network structure should be fixed during learning process. In this paper, we propose a new constructing method for wavelet network structure by using differences between the output and the desired response without preprocessing. Because the algorithm perform network construction and error minimizing process simultaneously, it can determine the number of hidden nodes adaptively as with the complexity of problems. In addition, the network structure is optimized by inserting new hidden nodes in the area that has maximum error and extracting hidden nodes that has no effect to the output of network. This algorithm has no constraint condition that all training patterns must be known, because it removes preprocessing procedure for training patterns and it can be applied effectively to systems that has time varying outputs.

  • 자동차의 현가장치에 대한 능동제어연구는 국내외적으로 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 수동식현가장치는 단순히 스프링과 감쇠기로 차체의 진동을 수동 제어 하므로 성능 향상에 한계가 존재하게 된다. 수동식 현가장치가 강성계수와 감쇠계수를 조절함으로써 차체로 들어오는 진동을 억제하는 반면, 능동식제 어는 보통 유압을 이용하여 효율적으로 차체에 들어오는 진동을 억제시키게 된다. 일반적으로 자동차가 능동현가장치 설계시 요구되는 사항은 탑승자의 승차감, 조종성, 현가장치의 공간확보 문제, 경제성(제어력), 실제적으로 자동 차에 적용할 수 있는 능동제어기법인가 하는 문제이다. 자동차 능동식 현가 장치는 보통 1/4 car (2자유도계), Full-car 모델 (7자유도계) 등으로 모델링 을 하여 능동제어기를 설계한다. 1/4 car 모델의 특징은 해석이 비교적 단순 하고 현가장치의 동적거동을 이해하는데 유용하고 실험을 하거나 실제 자동 차에 적용하기 쉬운 반면에 Full-car 모델에 비해 제어력의 효율이 떨어진다 는 단점이 있다. 그 이유는 1/4 car 모델은 차체의 동역학적 특성을 고려하 여 설계하지 않았기 때문에 4개의 독립현가차축에서는 오직 그 현가축방향 으로 발생하는 수직방향의 진동만을 제어하기 때문이다. 따라서 동역학적 역 성에 기인하는 운동을 제어하는 비효율적인 제어력이 공급된다는 단점을 갖 는다. 이에 비해 full-car 모델은 주행모드(수직, 롤링, 피칭운동)간의 연성을 고려하여 제어기를 설계할 수 있기 때문에 1/4 car 모델에 비해 제어력의 효 율이 높다는 장점이 있는 반면에 모델이 수학적으로 복잡하므로 제어력을 구하는데 계산량이 많고, 실제 자동차에 적용하기에 복잡하다는 단점을 갖고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 쉽게 실험할 수 있고, 실용화할 수 있는 1/4 car 모델에 대하여 능동제어기를 설계하여 실제자동차에 능동제어기를 적용할 때 참고가 될 수 있도록 하였다. 자동차는 저주파영역의 밴드통과필터 역할 을 하므로 저주파에서의 성능, 특히 탑승자가 민감하게 느끼는 0.5Hz - 10Hz 부근의 주파수성능은 승차감, 조종성에 상당히 중요하다. 이에 본 논문 에서는 0.5Hz - 10Hz 부근의 승차감, 조종성의 향상에 초점을 두고 차체의 속도를 출력변수로 한 LQG/LTR 제어기를 설계하였다. LQG/LTR 설계기법 은 안정도-강인성이 좋은 체계적인 설계기법으로서 전 상태를 측정할 필요 가 없으므로 실제 적용시 효과적이다. 또한 자동차의 제원의 변화에 대한 고 유치의 민감도해석과 새로운 개념으로 안정도-강인성(Robustness)해석을 하 여 수동시스템과 능동시스템의 강인성을 비교하였다.

A Study on Experimental Analysis of Dynamic properites for Structure and its Application (구조물 동특성의 실험적 해석과 응용기술에 관한 연구 (기계식 주차설비 진동제어))

  • 일반적으로 건물 구조물에 전달되는 기계진동을 감소시키기 위해서 기계와 기초사이에 유연한 방진소자를 삽입하여 기계가진력(exciting force)의 전달 률을 줄인다. 또한 구조물의 고유진동수와 진동원의 가진주파수가 일치할 경 우, 가진주파수를 변화시키거나, 구조물의 동특성을 변화시키는 방법을 사용 한다. 어떠한 방안을 선택하든 효과적이고 정량적인 방진 시스템을 구성하고 구조물의 정확한 진동상태를 예측하기 위해서는 진동원의 가진특성과 구조 물의 동특성에 대한 정보가 요구된다. 일반적으로 방진설계를 위해 필요한 진동원의 가진특성은 제조회사의 사양이나 측정을 통하여 비교적 쉽게 얻을 수 있다. 복합재료, 다양한 경계조건, 복잡한 대형구조물등은 수치해석을 이 용하여 해석적인 방법으로 동특성을 구할 경우, 신뢰성 있는 정보를 얻기에 는 많은 노력이 요구된다. 더우기 현장에서 발생하는 진동문제는 대부분 복 잡하고 시간적으로 시급히 해결해야 하기 때문에 효율적인 절차를 구성하여 구조물의 동특성을 해석하는 방법을 사용할 필요가 있다. 구조물의 동특성은 실험적인 방법을 통하여 구하고 그 외의 필요한 계산들은 해석을 통하여 얻 는 것이 효율적일 수 있다. 실험적 동특성해석은 입력하중에 대한 응답의 크 기와 위상 비를 주파수별로 나타내는 전달함수를 측정하는 방법으로서 가진 장치 및 여러 측정/분석 장비가 필요하며, 철교, 교량, 건물의 철골 및 콘크 리트 슬라브등 다양한 중대형의 구조물을 Signal/Noise비가 좋도록 가진 시 켜야 할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 실험적 방법의 현장 적응성과 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 대형충격기(large impact hammer, max, peak force 약 10000N, time duration 약 20ms)를 제작하고 실험/분석 시스템 및 구조물 의 진동제어를 위한 절차를 Fig.1과 같이 구성하고 이를 철근콘크리트 건물 에 설치한 기계식 주차설비의 진동제어에 적용하였다.force response simulation)를 수행하여 임의의 좌표 공간에 대한 진동수준을 해석적으로 예측할 뿐만 아니라 구조물의 진동제어 를 위한 동적인자를 변경시킬 수 있는 정보를 제공하며 장비를 방진할 경우 신뢰성 있는 전달률을 결정할 수 있다. 실험적으로 철교, 교량이나 건물의 철골구조 및 2층 바닥 등 대,중형의 복잡한 구조물에 대항 동특성을 나타내 는 모빌리티를 결정할 경우 충격 가진 실험이 사용되는 실험장비 측면에서 나 실험을 수행하는 과정이 대체적으로 간편하다. 그러나 이 경우 대상 구조 물을 충분히 가진시킬수 있는 용량의 대형 충격기(large impact hammer)가 필요하게 된다. 이러한 동적실험은 약 길이 61m, 폭 16m의 4경간 교량에 대 하여 동적실험을 수행하여 가능성을 확인하였다. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS.   • This article reviews the development of three-dimensional (3-D) magnetotelluric (MT) modeling. The 3-D modeling of electromagnetic fields is essential in understanding the physics of MT soundings, and in implementing an inversion method to reconstruct a 3-D resistivity image. Although various numerical schemes have been developed over the last two decades, practical methods have been quite limited. However, the recent rapid improvement in computer speed and memory, as well as the advance in iterative solution algorithms for a large system of equations, makes it possible to model the MT responses of complex 3-D structures, which have been very difficult to simulate before. The use of staggered grids in finite difference method has become popular, conserving a magnetic flux and an electric current and allowing for realistic discontinuous fields. The convergence of numerical solutions has been greatly accelerated by adopting Krylov subspace methods, proper preconditioning techniques, and static divergence corrections. The vector finite-element method using edge elements is also free from the discontinuity problem, and seems a natural choice for modeling complex structures including irregular topography because its flexibility allows one to capture full geometric complexity.
