  • The image calls forth the curiosity of the children. children experience the many thing through the image and it makes children to study naturally. Specially, the animation socializes children and it plays an important role in form of a self-identity. The gender-identity reappearance of the animation character is important. Gender-identity reappearance type of the animation character is able to classify with the reappearance type of visual information and the narrative. The narrative reappearance type does more clearly visual information reappearance type. Also classifying the gender-identity of animation character aspects into each type, they are; gender stereotype that character reflects the conservative and commercial ideology; gender non-stereotype that character doesn't reflect gender stereotype. But reappearance of the gender non-stereotype character as well, it is stopping in the exaggeration or the caricature of gender role of the character. Consequently the animation characters must be reappeared with the character which have the future oriented gender identity-as one human being that forms a value subjectively. The animation which reappears the future oriented gender-identity plants a proper self-perception and gender role in children and relaxes the traditional gender-identity which is already acquired.

The study process let P sample, the study participants, use Q-sorting methodology to sort Q sample, which is composed of statements from July 1 to 20, 2017. 21 participants sorted 32 statements and 3 types of sexual minority cognizance were produced as a result. Those types are 1(N=8), 2(N=5), and 3(N=8), which are type friendly human rights enthusiast, type whereas negative stereotypical, and type neutralist. Friendly human rights enthusiast types agreed to ensure sex minority groups' rights as a general protection, whereas negative stereotypical types had strong discrimination and prejudice towards sex minority groups due to lack of related knowledge. Furthermore, neutralist types showed an objection to negative stereotypes against sex minorities, but they did not entirely agree to homosexuality either.

  • In recent years, Japanese style Chinese Moe-tic Ship personification games have enjoyed success in Korean game market - starting from 'Girl's Frontier' in 2017 to recent 'Azur Lane' in 2018. Their 'all female' characters have overly sexual appearance thus young male adults/adolescents are main consumers of the genre. In this paper, we investigate all 300+ character skins of the game 'Azur Lane' on how much their character illustrates have sexual exposure of the female body for the sexism and how their standard attire have different patterns with respect to the affiliated nationalities. We report that the sexual exposure is highly related to the payable skins including swim suits and there exists some sexual stereotype in characters' attire. Japanese and Chinese characters emphasize their traditional Chipao and Kimono. Japanese also wore school uniforms. German characters wore uniforms the most and many British characters wore maiden uniform. Although this game is classified as adult game, its overly sexualized female characters are harmful for young adults to cause sexual objectification of females.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of North Korea defectors' living experiences in South Korea on their self-perceptions and perceptions of South Korea. For this purpose, a questionnaire was distributed to 66 defectors with no living experiences at all and 99 defectors with living experiences of an average of 2.7 years in South Korea. They were asked to rate their own as well as South Koreans' values, personality, attitudes toward sexual misbehavior, gender stereotypes. Also, they evaluated the society of South Korea and its political control. The results indicated that those defectors with living experiences tended to perceive more negatively their own and South Koreans as well, and yet that they were less negative for sexual misbehavior and weaker for gender stereotypes. Also, results suggested that living experiences led defectors to perceive South Korea in a more negative way. Those findings were discussed in terms of changes in culture.

  • In this study, the illustrations of 27 middle school science textbooks developed under the 2007 Revised National Curriculum were analyzed in the aspect of gender-role stereotyping, and the results were compared with those of the 7th National Curriculum. The types of the illustrations were classified, and the frequencies of pupils and adults who appeared on the illustrations were counted by gender, and the types of activities and the character of them were also analyzed by gender. In all results of the analyses, the differences between male and female decreased in comparison with those of the 7th National Curriculum. More male pupils appeared in the illustrations than female pupils. The frequencies of learning activities were balanced by gender, but other activities were described as focusing on male pupils. The frequencies of male adults outnumbered female adults. While the ratio of female adults was high in houseworks, that of male adults was high in outdoor activities. The jobs of adults were also illustrated as male-centered. Most pupils and adults were found to be active. Both ratios of pupils and adults for each gender were relatively similar.

  • We develop an identity choice model within the context of a stereotyping-cum-signaling framework. The model allows us to explore implications of the fact that, when individuals can choose identity, then the distribution of abilities within distinct identity groups becomes endogenous. This is significant because, when identity is exogenous and if the ability distributions within groups are the same, then inequality of group reputations in equilibrium can only arise if there is a positive feedback between group reputation and individual human capital investment activities (Arrow, 1973; Coate and Loury, 1993). Here we show that when group membership is endogenous then the logic of individuals' identity choices leads there to be a positive selection of higher ability individuals into the group with a better reputation. This happens because those for whom human-capital-investment is less costly are also those who stand to gain more from joining the favored group. As a result, ability distributions within distinct groups can endogenously diverge, reinforcing incentive-feedbacks. We develop the theoretical framework that can examine the positive selection and the endogenous group formation. The model implies that inequality deriving from stereotyping of endogenously constructed social groups is at least as great as the inequality that can emerge between exogenously given groups.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of unmarried women's self-efficacy and sex role stereotypes on sexual assertiveness. This study is a descriptive research study. The subjects of this study were unmarried women who had experience of dating. Data collection was conducted by online from July 17th to 19th, 2018. The final 190 subjects were the subject of the study and data analysis was performed using the SPSS 24.0 program. Pearson's correlation was used for correlations between variables, and multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the effect on sexual assertiveness. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the scores of the sexual assertiveness according to the age, having a boyfriend, number of intimate relationship, and sexual intercourse experience. There was a positive correlation between sexual assertiveness and self-efficacy, while there was a negative correlation between sexual assertiveness and sex role stereotypes. Factors influencing sexual assertiveness were sexual intercourse experience and sex role stereotypes, which accounted for 41.7%. This study was meaningful in that it analyzed the factors influencing sexual assertiveness among unmarried women who are not college students. In order to increase the sexual assertiveness of unmarried women, it is necessary to have a program that takes into account stereotypes of sex roles.
