Study on Selective Separation of Carbon Dioxide from Land-fill Gas using Hydroquinone Clathrate (하이드로퀴논 크러스레이트를 이용한 매립가스 내 이산화탄소 분리에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 하이드로퀴논(HQ)을 이용하여 매립가스로부터 이산화탄소를 선택적으로 분리하고 유기 크러스레이트 형태로 분리 및 저장에 적용하기 위한 연구로써 하이드로퀴논을 다양한 객체가스와 반응시키면서 열역학적 안정영역을 파악하고 분광학적 방법을 이용하여 미세구조 변화를 분석하고자 하였다. 먼저 ${\alpha}$-HQ를 고압(4MPa)의 이산화탄소와 반응시켜 이산화탄소가 포집된 ${\beta}$-HQ를 합성하였고, 동공 내에 존재하는 이산화탄소를 제거하여 동공을 유지하는 empty ${\beta}$-HQ를 만들었다. 온도를 증가시키면서 XRD 패턴을 측정한 결과 298 K 에서 378 K 사이에서 ${\beta}$-HQ 시료는 서서히 empty ${\beta}$-HQ 의 구조로 전환되었으며 378 K 이상의 온도에서 ${\alpha}$-HQ 구조로 급격히 전환되었다. 또한 생성된 empty ${\beta}$-HQ 동공에 이산화탄소가 포집, 해리되는데 있어서 온도의 영향을 확인하기 위해 298K과 343K의 온도에서 실시간 라만분광법으로 측정하였다. 그 결과 298K에서 약 200분의 시간이 지난 후 이산화탄소는 하이드로퀴논 동공 내로 포집되어 안정화되었으며 압력해방 후에는 빠져나가지 않고 동공 내에 존재함을 확인하였다. 그러나 343K에서는 급격히 포집되어 30분 이내 안정화되었고, 압력해방 후 동공 내에 존재하지 못하고 빠져나가는 것을 확인하였다. Empty ${\beta}$-HQ의 이산화탄소 선택도를 관찰하기 위해 이산화탄소와 메탄, 수소, 질소의 조성이 각각 30%, 30%, 20%, 20%인 혼합가스와 반응시킨 후 가스 크로마토그래프 분석을 실시한 결과, empty ${\beta}$-HQ내 포집된 가스 중 이산화탄소의 조성이 약 80% 이상으로 나타나 높은 선택도를 나타냄을 관찰하였다.

Numerical Analysis of Heat Transfer and Flow Characteristics on Squealer Tip of Gas Turbine Blade (가스터빈 블레이드 팁의 열전달과 유동 특성에 대한 수치적 해석)

  • The heat transfer and flow characteristics of gas turbine blade tip were investigated in this paper by using the conjugate heat transfer analysis. The rotor inlet boundary condition profile which was taken from the first stage nozzle outlet was used to analyse. The profile contained the velocity and temperature information. This study presents the influence of tip clearance about aerodynamic loss, heat transfer coefficient and film cooling effectiveness with the squealer tip designed blade model which tip clearance variation range from 1% to 2.5% of span. Results showed that the aerodynamic loss and the heat transfer coefficient were increased when the tip clearance was increased. Especially when the tip clearance was 2% of the span, the average heat transfer coefficient on the tip region was increased obviously. The film cooling effectiveness of tip region was increasing with decreasing of the tip clearance. There was high film cooling effectiveness at cavity and near tip hole region.

  • 국제핵융합실험로(ITER)의 3대 목표 중 하나는 핵융합로 개발을 위한 삼중수소증식블랑켓 개념을 시험하고 검증하는 것이며, 이를 위해 시험증식블랑켓(TBM, Test Blanket Module) 프로그램을 마련, 각국이 참여할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 한국도 2012년 국가핵융합위원회 결정에 따라, EU, 일본, 중국, 인도와 함께 TBM 프로그램에 참여하고 있으며, 2021년 설치를 목표로 헬륨냉각 고체증식재 개념의 HCCR (Helilum Cooled Ceramic Reflector) TBM을 설계, 개발하고 있다. 한국형 TBM은 총 4개의 서브모듈과 하나의 후벽(Back Manifold, BM) 으로 구성되며, 각 서브모듈은 플라즈마와 대면하는 일차벽(First Wall, FW), 증식재와 증배재, 반사재를 담고 있는 증식영역(Breeding Zong, BZ), 냉각재 매니폴드 및 구조물 역할을 하는 측벽(Side Wall, SW) 등의 기능부품으로 구성되어 있다. 냉각재는 8 MPa, $300-500^{\circ}C$의 고온고압헬륨을 사용하고, Li2SiO4 혹은 Li2TiO4 형태의 Li 세라믹 증식재를 사용하며, 중성자 증배를 위해 Be 증배재 및 흑연 반사재를 사용한다 [1-3]. 2015년 2월 개념설계검토(CDR, Conceptual Design Review)를 위해, TBM-shield를 포함한 TBM-set 설계가 완료되었으며, 열수력, 구조, 지진, 전자기, 복합하중에 대한 평가가 진행되었다. 본 논문에서는 이 중 H/He-phase에 시험될 EM-TBM과 D-T phase에 시험될 INT-TBM에 대한 열수력 성능 결과를 소개하였다[5]. 각각의 열부하 조건은 0.17과 $0.3MW/m^2$이며, 중성자 조사는 D-T phase 에서만 고려되었다. 구조재 및 사용된 기능소재별 온도 요건을 정의하고, 성능해석 결과와 비교하였으며, 이를 통해 모든 온도 요건을 만족함을 최종 확인하였다. 이러한 온도 분포는 열응력 평가를 위해 구조해석 입력자료로 활용되었다.

A Study Effective Zigbee Authentication Protocol in Smart Grid Network (스마트 그리드 네트워크에서 효과적인 Zigbee 인증 프로토콜에 관한 연구)

  • Security is critically important for smart grid networks that are usually used for the electric power network and IT environments that are opened to attacks, such as, eavesdropping, replay attacks of abnormal messages, forgery of the messages to name a few. ZigBee has emerged as a strong contender for smart grid networks. ZigBee is used for low data rate and low power wireless network applications. To deploy smart grid networks, the collected information requires protection from an adversary over the network in many cases. The security mechanism should be provided for collecting the information over the network. However, the ZigBee protocol has some security weaknesses. In this paper, these weaknesses are discussed and a method to improve security aspect of the ZigBee protocol is presented along with a comparison of the message complexity of the proposed security protocol with that of the current ZigBee protocol.

  • Research and development of LP EGR system for the performance improvement and emission reduction on diesel engine is proceeding at a good pace. LP EGR system seems to be helpful method to further reduce$NO_x$ emissions while maintaining PM emissions at a low level because the boost pressure is unchanged while varying EGR rate. This study is experimentally conducted on a 2.0L common rail DI engine at the medium load condition (2000 rpm, BMEP 1.0 MPa, boost pressure 181.3 kPa) that difficult to use large amount of EGR gas because of deteriorations of performance and fuel consumption. And we investigated the characteristics of performance and fuel consumption while varying EGR systems. The overall results using LP EGR system equipped with ETC identified benefits on reduction of PM and improvement of fuel consumption and thermal efficiency while keep the $NO_x$ level compared to HP EGR and LP EGR with back pressure valve.

  • A hydraulic cylinder is a primary component of an excavator and is used for activating attachments such as boom, arm, and bucket. Generally, the cylinder is prone to structural problems such as buckling and fatigue failure caused by cyclic high pressure. Therefore, the safety margin for fatigue, yield, and buckling during the design lifetime should be evaluated at the durability-design stage. The durability design includes basic and detailed stages. In the basic design, the principal dimensions of the rod and tube are determined by considering the working force, speed, and range with respect to yield and buckling. In the detailed design, the dimensions of the rod notch, welds, tube end, gland, orifice, and cushion ring are determined by considering the fatigue safety. We present and discuss the overall procedure for durability design and the related analysis techniques.

  • An investigation has been made on the relationship between characteristics of Acoustic Emission (AE) signal in welding flaw and the stress corrosion defect in-service for the high pressure pipe steel. In order to tackle the problem of welding flaw in high pressure pipe, specimens were made by the aid of the application of both corrosion liquid usage and a quenching method after local heating. The amplitude of signal was $60{\sim}75\;dB$ in the territory which is suspected for defect, and the specimens which only have welding flaw showed gradients of 0.034, 0.034, 0.035. Moreover, there is a certain increase in gradient even though the differences are very slight. That is, corrosion specimens showed new gradients of 0.040, 0.039, 0.041 which put welding flaw and corrosion mechanism together. After pressurizing 3 minutes, AE signal has been detected from welding flaw easily in each part of the section. It is possible to predict the occurrence and also prevent the damage of stress corrosion crack which has characteristics of cleavage fracture.

  • Experimental study on combustion characteristics of double swirl coaxial injectors has been conducted for the assessment of critical injector design parameters. A reusable, unielement thrust chamber has been fabricated with a water-cooled copper nozzle. Two principal design parameters. a swirl angle and a recess length, have been investigated through hot firing tests for the understanding of their effects on high pressure combustion. Clearly, both parameters considerably affect the combustion efficiency, dynamics and hydraulic characteristics of an injector. Internal mixing of propellants in a recess region increases combustion efficiency along with the increase of a pressure drop required for flowing the same amount of mass flow rates. It is concluded that pressure buildup due to flame can be released by the increase of LOx flow axial momentum or the reduction of a recess length. Dynamic pressure measurements of the thrust chamber show varied dynamic behaviors depending on injector configurations.

  • Test results of combustion chamber to verify the operation and the combustion performance at low pressure, design and off-design conditions for 30ton-class liquid rocket engine were described. The combustion chamber has nominal chamber pressure of 60 bar, propellant mass flow rate of 89 kg/s, and nozzle expansion of 12. Effects of chamber pressure on combustion characteristic velocity are largely affected by mixture ratio. The specific impulse of combustion chamber is proportional to the chamber pressure regardless of the mixture ratios. The present results can be used as the base to predict the combustion performance of large sized chamber at high pressure while demonstrating the possibility of low pressure firing test of large sized chamber.
