Generally, it is an accurate radiation measurement technique for processors fo thermoluminescent dosimenters(TLDs) to characterize each element they use by producing element correction factors(FCFs). TLDs are classified into three groups such as reference. control, and field TLDs. Reference TLDs are used only for the production of ECFs for the control and field TLDs. They are kept locked in a safe place except when it is necessary to use a subset of them to produce ECFs for the control and field TLDs. The ECF of a given element is a measure of the response of the element relative to the mean response of an arbitrarily selected group of reference elements. As TLDs are used in the field, their relative responses to radiation might be decreased due to muliple readings and physical abuse. Therefore, the producditon of ECFs are performed initially and periodically during the field use. This element correction method provides an excellent tool to examine new TLDs and to monitor the reliability of old TLDs. This paper discuss the 10 step procedures developed to produce and examine ECFs.
Many ecosystems in Korea are currently managed by government organizations. Thus, public managers' decision-making has great influence on the management of ecosystems in Korea, and their decision-making could influence the matter of whether the ecosystems of Korea are managed effectively. This paper regards the goal of management of ecosystems as securing the sustainablilty of target ecosystems, and investigates public managers' decision-making and their psychological attitude on the management of ecosystems. Basically, managerial activities on ecosystems have uncertainties and usually public managers utilize the knowledge of law, science, intergovernmental relations, and local governance as their references for decision-making. To elucidate public managers' managerial decision-making on ecosystems, this paper adopts some psychological theories in explaining the judgment of human beings under uncertainties. Effective ecosystem management by public managers can be judged by how public managers adopt and utilize all of the above mentioned four kinds of knowledge on ecosystem management. An important factor in order to let them utilize the four kinds of knowledge is policy support. Therefore, as conclusion, this paper recommends some relevant policy measures that can support the ecosystem management of public managers.
Knowledge ecosystem means a dynamic knowledge circulation, including knowledge creation, exchange and sharing and utilization. It is also the field of knowledge practice, which creates interactions in knowledge exchange between people and groups. The key premises of knowledge ecosystem, based on the nature of general ecosystems, can be characterized as follows: first, it primarily focuses on social networks between people and organizations participating in the process of knowledge circulation; secondly, knowledge ecosystem thrives on diversity of knowledge; and thirdly, it is significant for selection of valuable knowledge and adoption of appropriate knowledge. This review attempts to make a systematic examination of a wide range of existing studies on knowledge ecosystem. In so doing, it is expected to provide a basis for further inquiry into more critical and complicated issues. Although the scarcity of existing research-at least those in Korea-may limit the implications of findings, this review offers a set of suggestions for future research.
This paper presents an algorithm concerning the ground altitude measurement using a laser altimeter and an ultrasonic rangefinder for UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). A simple ground test conducted using the laser altimeter and ultrasonic rangefinder that are used for conducting the low altitude measurement of UAV and identify the characteristics of each sensor. Especially, the disadvantages of the laser altimeter were checked through the ground test. After that who those are participated in this paper planned the algorithm which is complemented by the ultrasonic rangefinder and the experiment was conducted. The laser altimeter and the ultrasonic rangefinder were fused by a loosely coupled method by Kalman filter. The paper shows that stable value of altitude complemented by the ultrasonic rangefinder that covers the laser altimeter's drawbacks can be measured through the ground test.
The Korean innovation ecosystem has evolved from a catch up stage to a creative leader stage where government's role in creating a private sector driven, healthy and dynamic ecosystem is important. Korea's innovation ecosystem shows a stagnation of innovation performance and a lack of linkage activities within the national innovation ecosystem and in global cooperation, despite the dramatic advancement and expansion of the ecosystem. A next-generation innovation ecosystem model is required to create a future-oriented innovation ecosystem. The next generation innovation ecosystem was prepared on the basis of the framework, which has 6 elements among which inter-firm network is the the micro-foundation of the ecosystem. On the basis of the framework, assuming that the next generation innovation ecosystem is the evolved existing ecosystem, responsive the discontinuous change in market and technology, which is private sector driven healthy and dynamic ecosystem, the next generation innovation ecosystem model was created. The concrete details on the direction of the policy entities responsible for building the ecosystem was presented, and the contribution of this study was discussed.
This experiment was conducted to determine the economic housing density levels on caged laying hens The experiment was carried out with 600 ISA Babcock strain of white coder and 450 ISA Brown strain of brown color for production period(21-72 weeks) from May 11. 1987 to June 27. 1988. The levels of housing density was employed 5 or 6 by hen's color from 272 to 920$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen. The results obtained were summarzed as follows : 1. Although there were not statistically significant among the housing density levels, The body weight gain for pullet period(14-20 weeks) were in case of white pullet the lowest at the group of high crowding density (272$\textrm{cm}^2$/per pullet) and in case of Brown pullet was the lowest at the group of high crowding density(306$\textrm{cm}^2$/per pullet). 2. Viabillity of pullet from 14 to 20 weeks were more 97% and there urere not statistically significant among the housing density. 3. Viabillity of laying hens was increased as increasing housing density through the etire product period(21-72 weeks) but 453$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen group(in case of brown hen) showed a significant difference (P<.05). 4. Rate of egg production through the etire production period(21-72 weeks) were significantly increased by increasing housing density (P<.05 or .01). 5. Average egg weight through the entire production period(21-72 weeks) was not significantly different among housing density levels at all laying kent 6. In case of white strain, egg mass per hen among treatment during the age of 63-72 weeks were decreased by increasing housing density, meanwhile, in case of brown strain were increased by decreasing housing density during the whole period and there were significant different among the all treatment 7. There were no significant different in feed intake among the all treatment through the entire production period(21-72 weeks) at the white strain laying hens but in case of brown strains, Feed intake were increased by increasing housing density and feeding spece/per hen, and there were significant different among the all treatment 8. Feed requirements per egg at white strain was the highest when the 272$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen levels and at the brown strains was the highest when the 306$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen levels, however, among the other treatment were no significant.

This research was performed by means of several different virgin granular activated carbons (GAC) made of each coal, coconut and wood, and the GACs were investigated for an adsorption performance of bromate in a continuous adsorption column. Breakthrough behavior was investigated that the breakthrough points of the virgin two coals-, coconut- and wood-based GACs were observed as 9252 bed volume (BV), 6821 BV, 5291 BV and 2431 BV, respectively. The experimental results of adsorption capacity (X/M) for bromate showed that two coal- based GACs were highest (1334.5 and 798.2 ${\mu}g$/g), the coconut-based GAC was intermediate (668.6 ${\mu}g$/g) and the wood-based GAC was lowest (156.8 ${\mu}g$/g). The X/M of the coal-based GACs was 2~8.5 times higher than the X/M of the coconut-based and wood-based GACs. The results of carbon usage rates (CURs) for the virgin two coal-, coconut- and wood-based GACs were shown as 0.19, 0.25, 0.33 and 0.71 g/day respectively. The adsorption capacity, k values, were also investigated by means of the GACs for bromate. The k values of two coal-, coconut- and wood- based GACs for bromate were found to be 121.3, 76.7, 43.3 and 14.6 respectively. This results suggested that using the virgin GAC made of coal was the best selection for removal of bromate in the water treatment for an advanced treatment.
One of the purposes of radiation protection is to minimize stochastic effects. PCXMC 2.0 is a Monte Carlo Simulation based program and makes it possible to predict effective dose and the probability of cancer development through entrance surface dose. Therefore, it is especially important to measure entrance surface dose through dosimeter. The purpose of this study is to measure entrance surface dose through semiconductor dosimeter, general dosimeter, glass dosimeter, and to compare and analyze the effective dose and probability of disease of critical organs. As an experimental method, the entrance surface dose of skull, chest, abdomen was measured per dosimeter and the effective dose and the probability of cancer development of critical organs per area was evaluated by PCXMC 2.0. As a result, the entrance surface dose per area was different in the order of a general dosimeter, a semiconductor dosimeter, and a glass dosimeter even under the same condition. Base on this analysis, the effective dose and probability of developing cancer of critical organs were also different in the order of a general dosimeter, a semiconductor dosimeter, and a glass dosimeter. In conclusion, it was found that the effective dose and the risk of diseases differ according to the dosimeter used, even under the same conditions, and through this study it was found that it is important to present an accurate entrance surface dose model according to each dosimeter.
Tirteen rice varieties of Japonica-Indica briefing type (J-I breeding type) and ten of Japonica type produced in Korea in 1985 were studied on cooking quality of milled rice and texture of cooked rice. The results are as follows: in the Looking quality, water uptake ratio of cooked rice and total solid in residual liquid showed significant $(p<2.172^*\;and\;2.419^*,\;respectively)$ between J-I breeding type and Japonica type The water uptake ratio of cooked rice was higher J-I breeding type than Japonica type but the total solid and intensity of iodine blue value in residual liquid were lower J-I breeding type than Japonica type. Minimum cooking time of milled rice showed significant $(p<2.375^*)$ between J-I breeding type and Japonica type for texture of cooked rice. The cooking time of J-I breeding type shorter than Japonica type. Hardness and cohesiveness in texture of cooked rice appeared to be significant cant $(p<4.370^{***}\;and\;2.371^*,\;respectively)$ between J-I breeding type and Japonica type, and then hardness was higher Japonica type than J-I breeding type, but cohesiveness was lower Japonica type than J-I breeding type. The correlation coefficients between amylose content and adhesiveness of varieties in the same type was $-0.922^{**}$ in J-I breeding type and $-0.915^**}$ in Japonica type. The correlation coefficients between protein content and hardness of the varieties in the same type was $0.954^{**}$ in Japonica type and so denoted as positive correlation. And the scatter diagram between protein and hardness could be divided into J-I breeding type and Japonica type.
