The Study on the Priority of First Person Shooter game Elements using Delphi Methodology (FPS게임 구성요소의 중요도 분석방법에 관한 연구 1 -델파이기법을 이용한 독립요소의 계층설계와 검증을 중심으로-)

  • Having started with "Space War", the first game produced by MIT in the 1960's, the gaming industry expanded rapidly and grew to a large size over a short period of time: the brand new games being launched on the market are found to contain many different elements making up a single content in that it is often called the 'the most comprehensive ultimate fruits' of the design technologies. This also translates into a large increase in the number of things which need to be considered in developing games, complicating the plans on the financial budget, the work force, and the time to be committed. Therefore, an approach for analyzing the elements which make up a game, computing the importance of each of them, and assessing those games to be developed in the future, is the key to a successful development of games. Many decision-making activities are often required under such a planning process. The decision-making task involves many difficulties which are outlined as follows: the multi-factor problem; the uncertainty problem impeding the elements from being "quantified" the complex multi-purpose problem for which the outcome aims confusion among decision-makers and the problem with determining the priority order of multi-stages leading to the decision-making process. In this study we plan to suggest AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) so that these problems can be worked out comprehensively, and logical and rational alternative plan can be proposed through the quantification of the "uncertain" data. The analysis was conducted by taking FPS (First Person Shooting) which is currently dominating the gaming industry, as subjects for this study. The most important consideration in conducting AHP analysis is to accurately group the elements of the subjects to be analyzed objectively, and arrange them hierarchically, and to analyze the importance through pair-wise comparison between the elements. The study is composed of 2 parts of analyzing these elements and computing the importance between them, and choosing an alternative plan. Among these this paper is particularly focused on the Delphi technique-based objective element analyzing and hierarchy of the FPS games.

  • This study provides a effective approach to the construction management problem with the limited number or amount of available resources using the analytic hierarchy process. Construction management is a series of decision making processes for planning and controling of cost, time and quality as main objectives in construction works. When several activities need the limited same resource at the same time, it is very hard to decide the priority of the activities in the real situations. For that the scientific decision making method and procedure for resource allocation are required. This study solves the resource allocation problem by dealing with the decision making problem which the activities are distributed to multiple projects and under multiple criteria. The analytic hierarchy process is a method devised to solve complex multi-criteria decision problems. The result shows that this study can be effectively used to make decisions in situations involving multiple objectives by evaluating the prioritized ranking and degree of the activity alternatives based on the overall preferences.

  • 개발로 인한 환경변화는 관련 분석모형을 통해 직접적으로 예측하기 하는 것이 가장 바람직하지만 데이터 취득의 어려움, 분석 방법론의 부재 등의 이유로 정량적 평가가 어려운 현실이다. 그렇기 때문에 수자원사업을 계획시 대부분 환경적인 영향을 매우 정성적인 형태로 평가하거나 수질과 같은 대표적인 항목에 대해서만 예측하는 수준이다. 기존의 연구 또한, 유역 또는 행정구역의 현재의 현 상황을 평가하기 위한 것이 주이며, 수자원사업과 관련성이 적은 항목도 일부 포함되어 있기 때문에 수자원사업의 특수성을 반영하기에 한계가 있다. 현 상황의 이러한 문제점을 인식하여 본 연구는 오늘날 대표적 의사결정 기법이라 할 수 있는 계층화분석과정(AHP)과 다속성효용이론(MAUT)을 활용하여 향후 수자원사업과 관련된 다기준의 사결정 과정에서의 환경성 평가방안을 제시하였다. 환경성 평가기준은 수질, 경관, 생태계 이렇게 세 가지 항목으로 구성하였고, 각 평가기준에 대한 수준을 직접적으로 대변 가능한 정량화 방안을 제시하였다. 그리고 앞서 정량화된 값을 표준화하기 위하여 MAUT 기법으로부터 평가기준별 효용함수를 도출하였다. 한편, 사업을 시행함에 따라 예상되는 환경성변화는 사업전 환경성과 사업 후 환경성을 비교하도록 하였고, 이때 해당사업의 특수성을 반영하고자 별도의 설문과정을 통해 평가기준별 가중치를 결정하였다. 본 연구는 환경성 검토시 생태학적, 물리적 분석에 기반을 둔 정량적 예측의 어려움을 보완하기 위해 정성적 예측을 추가적으로 제시하였고, 사업의 특수성과 평가항목이 갖는 일반성을 명확히 구분하여 의사결정 과정에서 주관적인 요소를 최소화하였다. 또한, 평가항목별 사업전후의 환경성을 비교, 검토함으로써 실제 사업추진 과정에서 개발로 인한 부정적 영향의 사전예방에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study presented the route location method by applying AHP and evaluating quantitatively. This study developed the program that can be easily applied to this kind of road design, and built the decision support system fur route location. The study results are summarized as follows : We could quantitatively evaluate the appropriateness of exiting routes by applying the AHP based on GIS. If we apply this to the roads that will be newly constructed, we can make the objective and reliable route location when making road plans and basic designs. We improved the technique of route location by applying the decision support system with third-dimensional data, which considers even the vertical alignment plan, to the existing decision support system with second-dimensional data. had, since we call set those data such as vertical slope, earth-volume, structure size, location and construction cost to independent variables, we can make road designs more scientifically and reasonably.

  • Recently, it is expected that small hydropower (SHP) could potentially provide sufficient amounts of alternative energy in Korea where there is an abundance of potential sites and where social efforts are being made to reduce the emissions of green house gases. In the past, the resources survey for SHP development has been carried out using onsite surveys and paper maps, which incurred a great deal of time and cost. Furthermore, the tools for decision making such as determining development priorities or evaluating feasibility have been considered only economic aspect and focused on the performance characteristics of power generation. However, as the concept of sustainable development has been being advanced in recent years, especially focused on human-social, environmental and ecological in addition to economical sector; the consideration of these multiple criteria has become essential for sustainable SHP development. This study aims to propose the spatial multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methodology for determining priorities among a number of locations on the planning stage of SHP development using AHP and GIS. The proposed methodology is applied for determining development priorities among the SHP locations in Cho River basin and this study presents the detailed spatial information data and the results of development priorities. As a fundamental work, this study will be beneficial to the future activation of SHP development and will help the decision making in evaluating the feasibility of SHP development.

  • FCM은 비구조적인 (unstructured) 문제영역에서 주어진 문제에 대한 효과적인 추론시 적용될 수 있는 매우 유용한 추론도구이다. 그러나, FCM에 사이클이 존재하면 추론효과가 크게 감소한다. 본 논문에서는 사이클이 있는 FCM을 이용하여 의사결정의 질을 높일 수 있는 추론방법을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 FCM내에 존재하는 사이클을 확인하고 해소하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 아울러 사이클이 제거된 FCM의 추론의 질을 저하시키는 문제중의 하나인 동기화 문제 (levelization) 알고리즘을 제시한다.

  • It's hard to express a lot of information within the drawings and the specifications as construction projects have gradually become large-size and complex. So, disputes are caused by that and reason that the usual practice(culture) of contract of the constructions in Korea is based on unfair rather than the fair principle between clients and contractors. However, the contractors don't try to solve this kind of things because they are worried about at their disadvantage situation. Therefore, this paper deduced the factors in the pre-dispute phase by analysing the cases of the civic counseling in the office of supply and the pre-dispute factors, and conduct analysis on the factors' importance by using AHP. The results will be used for a check-list to prevent the disputes.

  • The importance performance analysis is a simple and condensed analytic method for decision making based on the level of performance or satisfaction. Many researches already have witnessed usefulness of the importance performance analysis, but it also has some drawbacks from the statistical points of view. In this article, some additional techniques dealing the importance performance analysis are introduced and it is shown that these techniques would turn out to be very informative. The importance performance analysis uses the arithmetic average as the main statistic, but by the use of the median, the frequency and the cluster analysis it is shown that the importance performance analysis can be carried out with more crucial information. In addtion to that, it is demonstrated that the combination of the analytic hierarchy process and importance performance analysis could enable more reliable decision making.

  • Data mining is an emerging area of computational intelligence that offers new theories, techniques, and tools for analysis of large data sets. The major techniques used in data mining are mining association rules, classification and clustering. Since these techniques are used individually, it is necessary to develop the methodology for rule extraction using a process of integrating these techniques. Rule extraction techniques assist humans in analyzing of large data sets and to turn the meaningful information contained in the data sets into successful decision making. This paper proposes an autonomous method of rule extraction using clustering and rough set theory. The experiments are carried out on data sets of UCI KDD archive and present decision rules from the proposed method. These rules can be successfully used for making decisions.

A qualitative study for barrier factors of Korean venture firms' internationalization using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP를 이용한 한국벤처기업의 국제화 장애요인에 관한 질적 연구)

  • The internationalization of venture firms is of importance resulting from the increased opportunities as well as the entry barriers faced in this process. This study is to investigate barrier factors affecting Korean venture firms' internationalization. Among these factors, we measured relative weights using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Literatures regarding global firm's internationalization was reviewed, and barriers were classified environment, corporate and CEO barriers. Multiple variables were used in order to measure their relative significance. We surveyed executives of venture firms comprising two groups: first, 15 global venture firms, and secondly, gradually internationalizing firms. The two groups show contradictory results as environment barriers are the primary for born-global ventures and corporate barriers are the primary for gradually internationalizing ventures. Concerning corporate barriers, the lack of marketing capability is the highest barrier for both groups. The CEO barrier is the lowest for both groups. Regarding corporate barriers, gradually internationalizing ventures considers the risk of business as highest, whereas born-global ventures features the lack of R&D capacity as highest Results of this paper imply that firms should consider priority and sequential approaches in facing environment, corporate and CEO barriers.
